I reported my electrical & plumbing problems in the morning and both the plumber and electrician arrived on the same day to assess, make safe and repair the faulty plumbing and electrics in my property. Both people were friendly and professional and dealt with the issues very efficiently.

Great service but expensive
The response was very prompt and the drain cleared efficiently - the service was very pleasant and friendly. However the bill was very expensive and I was disappointed to find that this was meant to be in addition to the call out deposit I had already paid. When I queried this, again the service was very helpful and efficient. I think your service is excellent but your prices are too high.
Great drainage engineer
The drainage engineer who came to our house was really pleasant. He was informative and patient with the job in hand, working until the drain was fully cleared. He managed to solve the problem (I believe permanently) and a pleasure to have at the house, so that in itself deserves 5* as far as I'm concerned!

Incredibly professional company
First point of contact - Lady organising visit was very professional and knowledgeable to what type of help we would need with regards to blocked toilet and faulty washing machine. Great customer service. Josh was incredibly helpful and although couldn’t help with one of our issues gave us some good advice that helped seeking out the right person for the job

Speedy response to telephone request for plumbing repair. Call out attendance was but a few hours. After inspection of the plumbing leak, a quote was provided and agreed. Plumber went away for just 45 minutes to collect necessary materials, and proceeded then to carry out a repair. The whole service was provided on the same day. BUT, I would have liked the discarded pipes to have been removed from my loft.

Overpromise, Underdeliver, Overcharge
After the boiler stopped working overnight I called in the morning to be assured that they would get someone out to me the same day for a call out fee of £42. I don’t pay my usual guy anything up front but he was unwell and these guys looked great for short notice work. Their advert implied they were local to me as well. So took the day at home hoping it might only be a half day off… After waiting in all day I called the office back at 4pm to be reassured that I was scheduled and that they worked on beyond 6pm so just hold tight… Then at 4.30 they called me to say the engineer couldn’t make it due to unforeseen delays. Fair enough if disappointing. The customer service agent assured me she would get the scheduling team to book me in for as early as possible the next morning and would refund me the call out fee as an apology if I agreed to stick with them. (It had already become clear that they were not exactly a ‘local’ company). So, another day at home waiting (hoping for a half day again), no sign of them by lunch, no call so I contacted them, they were surprised that I had been told ‘first thing’, they didn’t look after scheduling in Customer Service, I would get a call later. No more details, no rough idea of when. I called back two hours later and was told I was the next job. The engineer rang just after 3 and arrived at 4pm he was very polite and friendly, looked at the boiler and diagnosed a capacitor replacement as the likely remedy. He would just call the office for a quote. Whilst he did that I checked with my unwell usual plumber by WhatsApp who said it was a £30 part and just an unplug and replace. The quote from the MJ Harris engineer was £202.11… I declined and the engineer had the good grace to look slightly embarrassed and say it was the office not him…. I then turned off the boiler, unclipped and unscrewed the capacitor and nipped down to Aqua Heat who sold me a replacement for £23. It took me 2 minutes to remove, 10 minutes to go and buy and 2 minutes to replace. Even allowing for half an hour of time, some petrol and overheads it couldn’t be more than £80 of work. My advice would be avoid. They over promised, under delivered and tried to overcharge. If they had been clearer about the possibility of not arriving same day, if they had given a rough time (even morning or afternoon) and if they priced honestly then I wouldn’t be so irate. They might respond below and say they always quote upfront, but when you have already committed £42 to get them to arrive many people will feel refusing their exorbitant fees might mean throwing good money after bad, they know people are more likely to accept a quote because they are already financially committed. Or they know from experience people like me tell them to jog on, and at least the £42 pays for the trip…
Professional and efficient
Really quick response, very upfront with regard to the initial call out fee which was a lot more reasonable than other firms local to me. Kept me updated and the plumber arrived exactly when arranged. Clean and tidy job. Yes it was expensive but comparable with other firms I received initial quotes from. I would use again and would be happy to recommend to others.
