I ordered a Canon R7 bundle for just under £2k on 13 may 2024 and finally received the last items of the bundle on 6 July 2024. If you are in a hurry for your purchase, I would consider buying elsewhere. The items from my order arrived in dribs and drabs... some if them via amazon. I wasn't advised what was being sent or when. I was emailing a gentleman named John who sadly passed away a few weeks ago. Until then, my emails were answered very promptly but it still didn't help with making items if my order appearing any quicker. I then telephoned a couple of times and spoke to a man who said my last remaining bits would be posted the following week - they weren't. The website has been down for a couple of weeks & the telephone number isn not working. So just as i had made the decision to contact my credit card company, the remaining items I'd been chasing turned up yesterday with post date if 5th July (& not 2 weeks ago!). I really wish I'd ordered with another company. But now, thankfully, it's over.

Absolutely mental experience trying to…

Absolutely mental experience trying to buy a camera. Ordered a camera that was listed as special offer, week and a half later told I can have if I pay an extra £400… really poor communication during the whole process, with me constantly chasing for progress. At least they did refund me when I asked which seems to be better than what others have gone through. For what appears to be a long established dealer in pro kit, I was left speechless…

All in all, very impressive!

I had not heard of this company until very recently and consequently was a little reticent about buying from them - especially as the prices were very reasonable. I most certainly need not have worried. The service was excellent - a telephone conversation was easily initiated (a rarity these days) and the delivery time was second to none. The product was exactly as described. All in all, very impressive!

After having had a bad experience with…

After having had a bad experience with a scooter previous I was sceptical about purchasing another one online without actually viewing or testing it . My husband found H PRESTON read all the reviews etc I bit the bullet and purchased my scooter it arrived within a few days and is absolutely fabulous .

Absolutely outstanding service

Absolutely outstanding service, I placed an order for a new camera last Wednesday John informed me it could be around a week before coming, two days later on the Friday afternoon Andy contacted me to inform me the camera was with them and could be delivered to me the next day (Saturday), Saturday arrived and so did my camera. This is a continuation of the outstanding service I have received from H Preston for the last 32 years, hence I keep going back.

There seems to be a common thread…

There seems to be a common thread regarding many of the reviews on here. For any one reading these reviews, Please take note - this company and it's owner are dealing with fraudulent activity. The responses from John Preston, on all the negative reviews are the same. Here is an example of his many fraudulent quotes "I suggest you contact your bank and do a section 75 as the funds have ben taken form my account many months ago" It is the responsibility of the merchant to make sure the funds have been returned to the buyer if the item they purchased never arrived. In this case a £2500 tripod system. After having taken over 6 months for this item not to ever arrive - countless emails and phone calls later, we asked for a full refund. He then asks us to contact our bank for a section 75 or any other kind of payment dispute. The bank cannot proceed with this due to a 120 day policy. H. Preston / John Preston will not provide any evidence that he has actually made the refund. He will not provide the evidence because he never made the refund. Do not trust this company. Small claims / Ombudsman will be in touch.
