Made a phone enquiry to H Preston on Friday 10-2-23 mid morning to ask prices for a Panasonic HCX 2000 Pro Camcorder. Within minutes Andy at the sales line had sorted a camera for delivery that day. John Preston the owner phoned me at home to confirm all details and great Price of £1689 including delivery. Minutes later the payment was made and the camcorder is now on its way to Glasgow. Ordered a Sony FX3 listed as being in stock - waited weeks for nothing to arrive. No communication from this shop at all. No one picks up the phone or answers emails. Only saving grace is that I purchased using a credit card so got my money back - otherwise I may not have been so lucky - noticed they have two listings on trust pilot 'Hprestonmedia' - Here you will see a true reflection of customers experience compared to these reviews. I wouldn't use this store or recommend them at all! Save yourself the headache and buy from somewhere reputable.

In April 2022 I purchased a Canon XF605 from H. Preston Media. It arrived promtley and I left a good review on Trustpilot. Having tested the camera I found it unsuitable for our needs and asked to part exchange it for a Canon R5C. John Preston sold it on my behalf on the 1st of June for £3,600 as an ex-display model with low hours and I dispatched the XF605 directly to the customer who had bought it. I then placed an order for the Canon R5C with the deal being that I would make up any difference in price. 6 months on and after many frustrating emails and phone calls to the shop and John Preston I have neither a new camera nor the money received on my behalf. On numerous occasions I was assured the camera was on its way and would be with me the next week. In November I cancelled the order, provided our bank details and asked to be paid the £3,600. And again this January I repeated the request but have still not received the money. John Preston told me he did not have the funds to pay me so I suggested he supplied me with an alternative lower priced camera, the Canon R6 II at £2,600 and pay me the balance of the money owed at a later date. He informed he did not have the funds to do this. So after 7 extremely frustrating months I have neither a new camera nor the money! I want to see this matter resolved. It's now March 2023 and I still have no camera. This is getting to be a crazy situation. I'm constantly being told that a camera is on order but that now there are not funds in the business to pay for it. So the £3,600 received for the camera that John Preston sold for me has been absorbed into a negative cashflow situation. Times are hard enough without having to deal with this situation and I'd really like to see my order fulfilled. It's now April 10th 2023 - despite further promises I still have no camera or no refund. I'm beginning to think that I'm being scammed out of my money by John Preston. John is claiming that he has no money to pay me and that when things get better he will sort me out and provide me with a camera but as the months go on I'm feeling that I'm being ripped off. The only resolution to this situation is that I am either provided with a camera, I have requested a Canon R6 Mk2 at £2,549.99 about a thousand pounds less than I am owed, or a full refund of the £3,600 he received on my behalf on the 1st June 2022. Please fulfil my order.
