Absolutely terrible company, Please avoid!
I ordered 3 FX6 cameras from here in August 2021 and still have yet to see them arrive. I understand that during the pandemic components became hard to get hold of and that there was a huge backlog on even getting the cameras built. However, over the last 8 months, the company has ghosted me and is now again selling these cameras on their online store. I have rang to speak to the owner a few times and cannot reach him as he's always 'out' I would seriously advise that no one looks to shop here.

STAY AWAY. HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE. NO REFUND!!! ***EDIT*** After writing this review, the owner contacted me and finally clicked on the button to refund my order which then took less than 24h to be credited on my bank account, therefore proving that it had deliberately not been done before. It only took 1 month of wrestling and intimidation in order to get my money back after being told they didn't want to refund me... I'm really feeling for businesses in these hard days, but I won't be removing my review here. This has truly been dealt in bad faith. *********** I literally cannot believe I'm writing this review now... I really should have paid attention to the dozens of other horror stories and reviews below and on TrustPilot before ordering from these guys. I've ordered a Canon C70 for £4000, marked as in Stock and ready to be delivered the next day. But like a multitude of other people have found out, it wasn't really in stock. Thought I first received an email saying it had been shipped to me, in reality it wasn’t. After calling multiple times, they told me it wasn't really the case, instead it was ordered from their suppliers and should arrive soon to their warehouse... but never seemed to arrive day after day... Since the camera wasn't going to arrive in time (or at all who knows with these guys...), I asked to cancel the order and get a full refund, only to be told they could not cancel because of the delivery. What delivery? The camera isn't even in your stock!!! You've told me yourself that you do not have that camera. After asking 4 times by email and on the phone for a full refund and being denied my £4000 back, I have been assured my order has been canceled and the refund sent. It’s now been A MONTH and I still haven’t received my refund back.. I have NEVER EVER seen such a terrible experience with any retailer. I'm now going to have to seize a court or ask my bank for a chargeback. In the meantime I have £4000 out in the wild which is a massive stress for me. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR: DO NOT order from those guys ever. Like a lot of people have explained it here, they've had to wait for months to get delivered or have had to harass them to get their refund. Such a shame.

Refused refund after 18 month wait
I ordered an FX6 in April 2021, I never received it. In the 18 months I waited I emailed or called every month or so and was never given any concrete update. I understood this was due to chip shortages and import issues which made sense as other suppliers seemed to have the same issue. Over the 18 month wait I heard of FX6's trickling in and into the hands of colleagues and other production companies. It seemed larger suppliers like CVP, Visuals and Park Cameras were slowly fulfilling orders. But not HPreston. In November this year many other suppliers were in fact showing the camera as in stock for immediate dispatch. I assumed this would be the same at HPreston so I got back in touch. To which I was told the same answer I had been hearing for 18 months, 'no stock, we'll let you know as soon as we have an update'. At this point I requested a refund. John Preston whom I had been dealing with all this time refused saying 'At the moment I do not have the funds to do this I will' That same day 18/11 the same camera was on sale on the landing page of the HPreston website at a discounted price for Black Friday. Heavily promoting and reducing the price of a camera that they haven't had any stock of for more than a year is shady and unfair to customers. Refusing returns is illegal. In the end I had to reclaim my money through my credit card company and purchase the camera elsewhere. I received it immediately. During the entire 18 month wait the FX6 was on the landing page of the HPreston website the entire time. In big red letters next to the purchase button is the slightly misleading and urgent message 'Order today within (hours, minutes, second countdown) and you'll receive your package (the next day). Some orders which are Imported and in short supply may take longer' in big red letters. I wonder how many other customers have been tricked by this countdown. BEWARE of this company. It is not an official supplier of Sony products and is a massive SCAM!

A Returning Customer
As a returning customer over ten years, I have always found the company friendly and helpful whether through mail order or shop visits. Frankly, they are at the top of my list for the purchase of video cameras whether or not through part exchange. To me they are noted for no grey imports, keen prices and service.
