I was very concerned about cataract operations. When I went for the consultation with Mr Maurino, he addressed all my concerns and put me at ease. He did explain the various options available to me and discussed their pros and cons. The staff were very friendly too. I had the operations in both my eyes and as at to date the sight appears fine and I am still taking the medications. I am very happy with the entire consultation and surgery experience.

From the very first phone call make an enquiry to the completed surgery, I was impressed with the care and professionalism of the whole team. First point of contact was Ana and Sue, Mr Maurino's private secretaries, put me at ease from the first phone call, very friendly and helpful. I can't recommend Mr Maurino highly enough. The Implantable Contact Lens Treatment (ICL), has changed my life. Before the operation, I had a severe myopia affecting both my eyes and I had to use contact lenses. After the operation, my eyesight has nearly reached 100% without the use of glasses. This has made me truly happy. I really recommend undergoing this operation, not only because my sight is now excellent, but also because the operation has changed my life: Now, I no longer have to worry about carrying with me contact lenses - which my eyes no longer tolerated - everywhere I go, something I had done for the previous 20 years. The operation was painless. I would like to stress the fact that the staff was attentive, careful and extremely professional before, during and following the operation. I have just had Multifocal IOL surgery at the Moorfields hospital in London carried out by Mr Maurino. My experience from start to finish was exceptional. The attention to detail by Mr Maurino was brilliant especially on my right eye where I have had previous intervention. His staff were caring & professional. The operations were painless with a week apart, each eye took around fifteen minutes. I no longer need glasses, my long distance is now 20/20, which is brilliant & unlike laser surgery it will last for the rest of my life.
