Ni 1 Lounge Gatwick shocking

Just arrived at No 1 lounge Gatwick what a horrendous experience. We were greeted (I use the term loosely) by Darcy at the entry desk. We presented out voucher from Holiday Extras which stated in black and white we could enter at 5.3 we were then informed in the rudest manner that this was incorrect and we could not enter until 3 hours before our flight. Therefore we would need to return an hour later. When I challenged this at reception to DARCY if front of a queue of people I was shouted at go to the website where it says the terms and conditions. However I did not book with No 1 lounge I booked with their partner, Holiday Extras. I informed Darcy that we are regular users of No1 lounge and this had never happened before. Again I was shouted at informing me that other staff are obviously not very good at their jobs. Well let me tell you Darcy and person on a customer facing role who shouts at a paying customer is appalling at their job. I was so incensed that I complained to a manager. I was subsequently informed that No1 lounge is in dispute with Holiday Extras and next month will be dropping them. So in other words No1 lounge has a problem with a partner so they let their staff take it out on customers. I will never again use this lounge and strongly suggest others do not either. I have used this facility for about 20 years and the food today was laughable. NEVER AGAIN

Dont waist your time and money …

We waited for almost an hour and a half people were leaving the lounge but still she kept us waiting while more tables got empty. Had to leave Otherwise would have missed our flight. When we were on the plane 2 hours later we got a message that our table will be available shortly 😀. So basically want you to pay twice.

Lost jacket

I left my jacket in the aspire lounge at terminal 5. I contacted No1 Lounges by email to see if they could help to find it. Jaimie Brown very quickly contacted me back to help me find it. She went above and beyond to help me and not only found the jacket but arranged for me to be able to pick it up the next time I am at Heathrow. I am extremely grateful to her.

Clear racism and discrimination at No1 Lounge Gatwick

Awful experience as a group of black woman travelled to Mexico… From the moment we arrived to the No1 Lounge we could feel clear signs of discrimination. We all paid to enter the lounge to have a quick breakfast before a staff member called Dawn demanded our boarding passes in very abrupt manner. We immediately felt belittled and decided it’s best we leave the lounge. We then approached a manager named Polina and asked if everything was OK, Polina said yes all is well there is no problem. Us as a group then left the lounge and proceeded to our boarding gate, only to see Polina and Dawn standing there waiting for us to board, accusing a member of our group of non-payment. We were extremely disappointed, as we had given Polina a chance to resolve this amicably with us at the No1 Lounge. I then proceeded to record the incident for our protection as we felt this was racial discrimination. A TUI rep agreed with us that this was inappropriate and a clear form of harassment. We then boarded our plane and a member of the No1 lounge got onto our aircraft accusing one of us of not paying and stated the police would be waiting for her upon return, this caused a lot of stress and anxiety throughout our trip. This person had indeed paid to enter the lounge and if No1 lounge check all scanned boarding passes for that date they will see this was an error in their end. We felt belittled and unheard as we tried to explain ourselves. We have since expressed our concerns via email and have not received any correspondence from the No1 Lounge. This was clear discrimination towards a group of black woman for absolutely no reason. It’s as if they felt we as black people shouldn’t be able to enjoy comfort before boarding our flight. If you are a black person travelling in a group or even alone I don’t recommend using the No1 lounge as our money isn’t valued here. In fact they’ll rather make you feel uncomfortable, take your hard earned money where it’ll be appreciated.

This place is racist

This place is racist. As a group of black women we were discriminated against and harassed after paying to simply enjoy our breakfast. As a group of 7 we were accused that one person didn’t pay to enter. This was proved incorrect. The lounge staff proceeded to follow us to our boarding gate and tried to intimidate us. We have the whole experience on video. We have sent emails to the lounge about this terrible experience to which they have not responded. If you are a person of colour please stay away from this place! Disgusting.

Lounge very nice staff very friendly but tables not cleaned cutlery dirty and the use of side plates for eating breakfast off is a joke have had much better food and selection of food at a service station definitely won't be making a return visit

Comfortable quiet place

Visited before the flight in the evening: it is a comfortable nice place for some rest, the meal was good enough but for unpretentious travelers. Although bar had enough alcohol to make cocktails, the staff showed reluctance to make a drink in every way. The only drink I saw was provided - a gin tonics, having about 30 bottles, as it does not require much efforts.

Always feel discriminated against at…

Always feel discriminated against at Heathrow T3 lounge. The staff are rude and have incredibly inconsistent access policy for Dragon Pass WITH paid pre booking! Outrageous behaviour.

Very disappointed with the cut-backs…

Very disappointed with the cut-backs that have been made in this lounge at Gatwick North. No more magazines or newspapers (only online, which I cannot read), no more breakfast service, only a buffet with limited choices and quality. Staff sent me outside to supposedly pick up 'free' magazines and papers provided by Gatwick airport. The shelves were empty, though..... Sitting quietly, reading a magazine and being served breakfast was the USP of this place for me. I won't bother with this lounge next time.
