Change to Octopus
Octopus energy provider was recommended by a family member. The cost is better than other companies, but more importantly their customer service is excellent, both on an everyday basis and when you have an issue. Lovely staff, good communication

I expected good customer services when in the early stages of switching energy provider. They are always keen to make a good impression. What came as a surprise was how human, helpful and genuine our contact was. Melissa responded promptly and in detail to my questions. None of the usual script reciting. None of the wild promises just to gain custom. Just helpful answers to questions.

My smart meter wasn't working properly and my previous supplier (Green Network Energy) hadn't got it working in the 18 months I was with them. Having just switched to LP, James Smith in customer service was super helpful and, after trying a few fixes, had it sorted in no time. Now I can finally get accurate usage data. Great customer service.
Very good prices and excellent customer service
I have just switched from Octopus to London Power. It's really straightforward because it's the same supplier, so it is just switching brands. I had a few questions so I emailed hello-at-mylondonpower-dot-com and Melissa Clinkett on the Octopus customer support team replied within 20 minutes. She was very helpful, answered all my points, and then did the switch for me. Now I know why Octopus has excellent reputation for customer service! I'm happy to find that all my Octopus account history is still accessible when I login to my London Power account, and even happier to know that I will now save over 20% on my gas and electricity bills from now on.

Did everything i asked and was patient made a slight error explaining that i will be charged exactly what i use, when it is actually prepayment onto the winter months he did recover and explained this as i questioned.

Terrific service from the London Power c/o Octopus Energy team. I love that you can just e-mail the team (as a reply to any e-mail received from them), none of this "do not reply to this unmanned inbox rubbish". I asked if I could cheekily be moved onto their current fixed gas tarrif (even though I was already on a fix) as it was slightly cheaper... James Smith replied the next day advising all sorted! Talk about efficient - the 5 star service you hear about Octopus Energy really is true.
