So we've just bought our first electric…

So we've just bought our first electric car, helped by the fact that we had a Project EV charger pre installed at our new build. I had issues getting the Ap to work so I rang Project EV, with Ethan Mills answering my call. I could not have found a more understanding nor patient person to help me, he was absolutely fantastic, taking me simply through each step with great knowledge and confidence. As a result our charger now works perfectly, we are really pleased with both car and charger - Many Thanks Ethan, it was a pleasure talking to you.

Wall Charger issue

We installed a wall charger over a year ago and it worked perfectly until we had a new router supplied by our broadband supplier. We needed to change the router name and password so the charger could connect internet and we could use the app functions. However, the newer phone (Samsung Galaxy S23) I now have, does not connect to a wifi spot that is not connected to the Internet - ie the wall charger. So I called Project EV and spoke with Wade Miller. Despite there being a long phone lag (not sure why) he ran me through the issue (which resulted in having to use my old phone that will connect to wifi hotspot without internet connection) and reset the router and password. All done and good service from Project EV

Absolutely fantastic customer service

We have had a project EV charger for a few years. It started tripping out and so I contacted customer services. They were really helpful and tried a few things remotely (which unfortunately didnt work) then organised for an engineer to visit. He changed the unit no quibble and was very polite and efficient. Can't ask for better service. Thanks.

Firstly Scott was excellent product install difficult

Firstly Scott was excellent, very patient and listened to what the problem entailed. He was also very positive in the fact that given the other tech support call I placed half an hour before was not successful he said he could sort it. However, the first tech support engineer was not sure what to do, I sent in photos to enquiries at his behest and have since got an email saying there is no open ticket for these photos. The product I was installing, the QR code did not work nor was the instruction guide available as it was not obvious to me which one on the downloads page it referred too (they all started EVA mine was E200). I worked with Scott and got the device working on the app but I like to think being a telecoms engineer I should have an idea on doing this sort of work but I found the installation for someone outside of this work area would be very difficult as it involved dropping off the home wifi and onto the TAG network and setting up permissions.

Vehicle charging issue

I had an issue with my vehicle not charging, I’m a complete technophobe so called Project EV for assistance, I spoke with a gentleman called Ethan Mills, he talked me through step by step with clear instructions how to reset and rectify the problem, ten minutes later and I’m back charging!! Extremely impressed by the service and knowledge that Ethan showed A+++

Internet down so can’t connect via app mode

Needed to change my charger from “app” mode to “ plug and charge” mode as my internet connection had gone down. Scott talked me through how to connect and change the mode setting. Very professional. Brian, a satisfied customer.

Charger Not Working

My charger on site would not work correctly and was installed by unknown. On making a phone call to project-ev I was advised to download the App and call back which I did, Wade Miller was very professional and helpful considering my limits with tech, and after two hours he had the charger working at 100% efficiency 10/10.
