Edit: Within 12 hours of posting the review Chloe from customer service had been in touch. The initial problem was dealt with very quickly and with far more grace than the situation required. Everything was resolved before I’d had my first coffee of the day. Thanks again Peter Ordered an item which states made to order with a long lead time. Not a problem so i ordered but was surprised a couple of days later by an email from a company called Andrew Martin saying my item was arriving next day. Ordinarily thats fine but was curious so sent an email to “Anita” my point of contact re this company. Didn’t get a response so took delivery anyway. The item arrived but is a different colour to what i ordered. T Oulton have a no return policy on “made to order” items so right off the bat there’s a problem. It was obviously in stock here in the uk ready to ship. We went back and too via email but whenever i addressed the cost of return postage it was passed over. The item is not as described or pictured. Still new and packaged. Two days passed now with no response. So far a terrible first time experience. I wouldn’t recommend the company based on this purchase.

We had a fantastic conversation with Sam H who could not have been more helpful. As a result ended up purchasing something that we didn’t know we needed when we went in to Timothy Oulton and being very happy about it. Sam was the best.

Following a great in store experience with help and enthusiasm for our project, a beautiful new sofa, we think we have found the perfect piece of furniture for our new home. We now have to wait very patiently for it to be made especially for us! Thomas has been outstanding and we will be back!
