Cost effective VOIP
Cost effective VOIP I was looking for a cost effective alternative to our landline bearing in mind the changes taking place next year and found Phonely on an internet search. Their prices seemed reasonable and the basic package including calls suited us. I phoned and talked to Sarah who answered all of my questions and arranged the details - I was very impressed at how helpful and polite she was. I will now look forward to receiving our new VOIP phones using our existing landline number and will report back on their performance.
Phonely's website doesn't state that you need broadband
Phonely's website appears easy to use, but cunningly doesn't specify that you need a broadband service and router to make even their cheapest £9.97/month VOIP phone service work. That's before you buy either an adaptor for your existing phone or a new VOIP phone from them. So you'll be spending at least another £20+/month on broadband. There are lots of cheaper ways to get a reliable voice service (Whatapp etc) if you already have broadband. They accepted today (2nd April) that they need to update their website to make this clear - lets see if they now go ahead and do so.
I subscribed to Phonely for my parents
I subscribed to Phonely for my parents. They're plagued with spam calls and whatnot. We ported their number over to Phonely in just a few days. The whole process was very simple, quick and easy. Phonely sent us an adapter so my parents could keep their landline number and their old phone too, they love it and it's much better value than BT's Digital Voice
Excellent VoIP provider
Best home VoIP provider I've found, so far, in my evaluation of such companies, even though they are a relative newcomer in this role. Product offering, as it is at present, is excellent if a little limited. Pre-sales support good, ordering online easy with good delivery. No setup required to get started - just plug and go. Customer support is, in my experience, quite exceptional with nothing being too much trouble. Looking forward to evaluating new features and facilities as they become available.
