Dreadful

Very, very poor. After buying car insurance online,I got a letter saying I needed to supply several documents. Problem was, the letter arrived a day after the given deadline for receiving the documents! ! Consequently my insurance was cancelled - which I was informed of 2 days later which meant that I would now be denied insurance from now on. How can they get way with behaviour like that? How can they leave people in this situation? I have over 15 years of no claims and now I am black-listed.

Avoid! Appalling Customer Service to the point of offensive...

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! *March 2023* We just suffered a sudden bereavement, and I notified Toyota Motor Insurance, and emailed them a copy of the Death Certificate, which confirmed me as next of kin who registered the death. A week later when I hadn't heard anything, I sent a chase-up email only to get an email back confirming that they hadn't cancelled the policy, but had instead posted a letter to my deceased relative, asking her to send a copy of her Will to confirm that I am authorised to notify them of her death?! The letter also made reference to a £35 charge to amend the policy, and penalty if a DD is cancelled (which it has been as her bank account is frozen). Apart from the offensive and tactless Customer Service; the sheer lack of thought in expecting a deceased customer to confirm her details; the failure to contact the living person they do have contact details for to request more information...but why on earth do they even need further information, as she is clearly, legally confirmed as deceased, therefore no longer requiring insurance, and had already paid the (overpriced) policy in full?! Unbelievable...

Bought a brand new Toyota and was given…

Bought a brand new Toyota and was given a link to take their 3 day drive away insurance. This is basically so they could give you a quote for the year…. The quote at 1st was competitive and then when I was given a registration number (quote was before it was assigned) it jumped considerably! I decided to go with the quote believing they would be better for service being Toyotas own branded insurance but as it turns out they are horrendous to deal with and I’m a little concerned are a scam company who have managed to get Toyotas business. Would definitely avoid!

Very poor service

Very poor service. Expecting us to wait 2 weeks to get our stolen catalytic converter fixed even though they have the part in stock. The reason I'm told is so the bodyshop can save money by delivering the courtesy car at the same time as collecting our vehicle. If they just collected our vehicle they wouldn't need to even give us a courtesy car. And the cheek of it is, Toyota insurance services expect us to contact the bodyshop to try to arrange this. Had enough of Toyota. Cat keeps getting stolen. Insurance pathetic. When the cars fixed its getting sold and that's us done with them.

I wrote a review about this scam…

I wrote a review about this scam insurance company on the 17th January 2023. Thanks to those who read the review. It was necessary to warn people about this fake insurance company. My second review is to inform everyone who had problems with this company about how I dealt with my case. I reported the company to financial ombudsman after several attempts to contact the company failed. The insurance company got back to me via email after they received a complaint via email from the umbudsman. I requested my policy to be cancelled ASAP and my deposit refunded. I also contacted my bank to cancel the direct debit arrangements. The bank also reclaim my money back from the scam company. I will like all those who had problems with this company to go through financial ombudsman and also their banks to put in a formal complaint. I succeeded in cancelling my policy and I got my full refund back after putting a formal complaint. Good luck.

Please avoid at all costs

Please avoid at all costs! I have worked in insurance for over 20 years and I have never experienced such an unprofessional company. I took a motor insurance policy out through Toytota which is (Aioi Nissay) and declared all information including a fault accident from 15/09/2019, I received a text to make contact urgently, I called and waiting in a queue for over 1 hour and 40 mins, in the text they said a letter and email had been issued but no email at all was received. After speaking to an agent I asked what accident hadnt been declared and they advised there is a fault accident from 19/05/2019 which had not been declared, I apologised and said that I have declared this however the date is 4 days out, to be told that as the dates differ from CUE (Claims and Underwriting Exchange) it automatically would have picked this up as an non disclosure. I was advised to put an explanation in by email and forward drivers licences for all drivers as well as proof of NCD (which had already been sent 1 week prior). I sent all of the requested information within the hour for me to get a reminder text 7 days later re-requesting the information. I went on to live chat and waited in the queue for about 30 mins to be told its just a reminder they dont check to see if they have been received until the date requested by has passed. A further reminder text was sent another 4 days later.... so frustrating! I then received another urgent text today to contact them advising an email and letter had been sent out - checked my emails.... what a surprise no email received! Went on to live chat again and only waited 25 mins to be told the accident has to be logged against the person driving and the policy holder (so you have to declare the information twice - this is so they can get extra premiums). As I work as an underwriter I disputed this and was advised a manager would call me back. I received a call back within 15 mins and I was told it is correct you have to declare the incident twice (sounds like a money making scheme to me). Advised I would like a complaint logged and also asked for a call back from the complaints department to discuss the issue as I do not believe they are treating customers fairly as this supposed non disclosed accident (which had been disclosed) has increased the premium by £101. I went on to ask the name of who I was speaking to and position and was told I am called Lucy and I am a senior adviser, I was told I would get a call back from a Manager not a customer service adviser. I was told there are no managers available! I said I would like a call back when a manager is available to be told that she didnt know when that would be, I said I would wait patiently for a manager to call me back and would appreciate the next time I am told a manager was calling me back to ensure I am called back by a manager and not be lied to. Once I speak to the complaints handler and the get a Final Response to my complaint I will be taken this further to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS).

The worst Insurance company I have ever…

The worst Insurance company I have ever dealt with. You have to do all the work yourself. You are forced to pay money before they even help out and just don’t seem bothered. None of the staff know what they are doing. I mean how hard is it to pick up a phone all day. The company needs to be closed
