Our experience with Inca Expert Travel far exceeded our expectations. From our first contact until after our trip, it was outstanding. Our travel advisor, Maria Jose, was attentive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. The 24-hour WhatsApp travel hotline was responsive and helpful during our trip. We didn't know anyone who'd used Inca Expert Travel before we decided to book with them, and we can easily say it was the best travel experience of our life. We'll recommend them to anyone traveling in South America and work with them again. Our trip to Peru was flawless. Every hotel was charming - Lizzy Wasi in Urubamba was a magical secret garden, and Casa del Sol in Aguas Calientes was well worth the upgrade. Our guides were amazing - fantastic storytellers, intuitive about the speed of walking or length of time we wanted to linger, followed our interests, and knew about history, culture, geology, and the flora and fauna of every area we stopped in. We especially enjoyed spending time with Jose in Lima and Fabricio in Cusco and the Sacred Valley. Our drivers were ninjas - always on time, really nice, and we always felt safe in their vehicles (driving in Peru is not for the faint of heart - get yourself a driver). Inca Expert Travel's restaurant recommendations and reservations were spot on, although we typically enjoyed finding meals on our own We considered going to Peru on a group tour with one of the best known travel trip companies, and we were so unbelievably grateful to have chosen a private tour operator instead. We walked by group tours trudging through sites with listening devices and a perky tour guide with flags pulling them along. Our tours felt like casual visits with old friends - personal, conversational, and fun. While everything about our trip was exceptional, I do want to give a few words of advice: 1. Take two days in Machu Picchu. Our first day, an afternoon tour, was postcard-perfect, with blue skies and puffy clouds. On our second day, a "sunrise" self-guided tour, the entire site was socked in by dense clouds and rain. It was an incredible experience to be there alone early in the morning, but as we were leaving, we knew that thousands of people had just one day to experience the site, and they wouldn't be able to get the iconic views at all. 2. If you can manage to stay at Hotel Lizzy Wasi in the Sacred Valley, do it. The service was stellar, the grounds are gorgeous, and it's a great place to relax and recharge for a day or two. It has a spa-like vibe (in fact, it has a little spa - the massages were excellent). 3. Wear sun protection. The sun in Peru is no joke - sunblock all day every day, hats, and protective layers are a must. We learned the hard way on our very first day and paid for it throughout the entire trip. This was a trip of a lifetime for our family, and Inca Expert Travel delivered at every single step. We can't rave enough about our experience!

The communication with our travel expert before the trip and the people we interacted with on the trip were all excellent. They responded immediately to any question or email information from each of our guides was extremely informative. I also liked being in very small groups on the group tours.

We all had an amazing time throughout the entire trip. Even with our mom getting sick, the coordination between your team and the guides to allow us to comfortably continue on the trek was outstanding. We would rate the overall experience a 10, and have already recommended your company to others asking about our trip. The hotels were excellent and were well above our expectations. Our tour guides throughout our day trips were all wonderful. Each was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful to meet our schedule and adjustments. The hiking company was also great, both our guides were excellent and we were again grateful with their handling of our mom’s situation. The porters were friendly as well and we enjoyed our time with the whole team during our trek.

We had a great time in Peru. Maria Jose helped us plan an excellent trip, balancing foodie dining experiences with guided tours through all of the key Incan ruins. All of our transportation was where it was supposed to be, when it was supposed to be, and all of our guides did a great job educating us while catering to our specific interests and preferences. Would definitely recommend Inca Expert to other travelers looking to visit Peru and to have a frictionless trip planned for them.

I am still dealing with the hangover as it is a very amazing experience, albeit “bucket list fulfilling”. Thanks to Inca Expert. I have nothing negative to say but only praises! Everything is very well organized in terms of logistics, scheduling, and lodging arrangements. The guides (Gustavo, Ruth, and Joel) are very knowledgeable. The drivers are amazing as well. They ensured that we get to our destinations safely.

Honestly, 5 stars is not enough for the experience I had with Inca Travel Expert. From the consultation and booking with Melissa who provided everything I could have wanted, to the service level with each destination and with every liaison, driver, hotel staff, tour guide, etc. They all were fantastic. When I came down with HAPE (High Altitude Pulmonary Edema) the flexibility, extra service, hospital coordination and accommodation of a now changed schedule was incredible. Special thanks here to Giulliano who went above and beyond to help me.

Inca Expert was amazing. It was great to have everything pre-planned, with people always waiting at the airport or hotel to take you to your next stop or adventure. It made me feel very safe as a woman traveling in a foreign country!

The trip was well planned. I had always wanted to visit Machu Picchu and was looking forward to it. It was everything I hoped it would be. The guides,especially David and Alesandra, were very helpful and made sure that I was able to do every hike. I was using my hiking sticks throughout the trip. All three guides displayed incredible knowledge of the history of Peru. That made the trip fascinating.
