It has been over a month since we left Machu Picchu...

It has been over a month since we left Cusco but the awesome experience still lingers in my head. We were lucky enough to have had perfect weather during our stay, but much of the experience honestly had to do with the quality service provided by Inca Expert Travel. Leila started working with us on our itinerary over a year ago, and even then she gave me the vibe that this would be special, and she assured me in no uncertain terms someone would guide us along every step of the way. We gave her very little information, and she turned it into a 6 day plan for us, and after several email exchanges, and modifications to the plan, we arrived at something that I felt covered a lot of ground, and yet the price was reasonable. Since it was our first trip to Peru, and first time to a place of very high elevation, we wanted to make sure everything from transportation, meals, hotel accommodation, to private tours were well planned out, so that we could focus on enjoying the trip. As with any tour company, it is the people that makes the difference, and to this end, Inca Expert Travel really does have the experts. We were greeted by Stephanie at the airport, who took us to our hotel and gave us a very detailed run down of what would be happening. There were many tickets we had to hold on to, and yet she was so thorough in her explanation; we did not feel overwhelmed at all. For the next few days were were fortunate enough to have Fabricio as our tour guide, and we learned so much about the beautiful ruins, churches, the city, and the Incas. Actually he set the bar so high I don't even know if I will ever have another tour guide like him. The attention to details, the care he demonstrated during our trip were unmatched. We also had the cleanest transportation during this trip, and the driver, Efrian kept the van so clean while we stepped in and out of the van multiple times throughout the day. The highlight of this trip was touring Machu Picchu, and although Fabricio did not take us there, we were greeted by another great private tour guide, Peter, who helped us secure our spot on the bus line while my kids struggled to get out of bed. On our last day of the trip we had probably one of the most memorable meals ever, at MIL Centro. That was not just a meal; it was an experience, more like a show. I can't thank Leila enough for including that into our trip, along with other great advice she gave us prior to the trip. My wife and I are avid travelers, and we have seen a lot of natural beauty and have done a lot of fine dining, and this was not any ordinary tour. Thank you Inca Expert Travel. I picked you guys solely based on the reviews on the internet, and I want to make sure I do my part to convince other travelers to give you guys a try.

Seamless Transition

We used Inca Expert Travel for our trip to Brazil with our family of four and two grandparents. We visited Rio, the Amazon and Iguana Falls. Our overall experience with Inca was a positive one. We felt well taken care of and looked after by our guides who were there to pick us up from the airport and make sure we were checked in properly when departing each city. The local guides were very knowledgeable and made sure to give us options for what we wanted to see outside of our itinerary. They were extremely friendly and made sure the grandparents were looked after with respect to some of the sightseeing. The only drawback was when we went to Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge in the Amazon. Since this part of the trip was managed directly by the lodge, information on transport to/from the lodge in relation to flight arrival/departure could have been better. The drive to the lodge was 3 hours (80% of which was very bumpy) and there were only specific times the shuttle would leave to go to Manaus. We had a later flight which left us to figure out how to spend several hours in Manaus. We were luckily able to work it out with the lodge to allow their sister hotel in Manaus to hold our luggage, etc. With that said, however, the experience at the lodge itself was absolutely amazing. Overall a wonderful experience!

Machu Picchu Inca Experts

A short review of a most wonderful adventure to Machu Picchu that we booked through Inca Experts. Our itinerary began with landing in Lima for an easy trip through customs and a waiting representative from Inca Experts that took us straight to the hotel for rest and food. The service at pickup and check-in at the hotel set the tone for the week. What we experienced at every destination was an on-time arrival by a driver in a very comfortable van and a guide that spoke excellent English and that could articulate the story and history of each destination. We spent the first day exploring Lima museums, cathedrals and downtown with Hector, not only a guide but a host. Five star guide. We stayed at the Pullman Lima Miraflores. An excellent choice (as were all hotels) by Debbie. The hotel was perfect for spending time exploring the Miraflores area. Beautiful hotel, great room, delicious breakfast in a safe clean part of town. We then traveled to Cusco, and once again found our driver and guide and waiting for us at the airport. After checking into Casa San Blas Cusco Exquisite a charming almost B and B feel in a local timeless style, big room, nice furniture, and coca tea on arrival. We really enjoyed not only the hotel as a great place to rest and sleep but we ended up enjoying the great service equally well. We spent a first evening exploring the area around the main Cusco square and having a bite of dinner and a drink. Our driver and guide Ivan showed up promptly with the driver the next morning and we spent the morning exploring the city and local ruins. Ivan was well prepared to not only tell us about the experience but also was great at answering questions. We spent the remained of the day shopping in local shops and enjoying two meals. The altitude was never a problem for us and we are 65 and live at 100’ above sea level The next day Ivan and the driver picked us up for a couple more destinations. Maras, Moray and Ollantaytambo tour and the train to Machu Picchu, Great tour and history lesson on the way to the train. We were dropped off at the train station and hopped right on the train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu), a beautiful train ride. At Aguas Calientes we were greeted by our next expert in the local destination, our guide Manuel. We were dropped at our hotel Casa Andina located a short walk from everything. We had a good meal of local Guinea pig, did some shopping and retired for the evening. Great hotel right on the river, beautiful views, great breakfast the next morning. The next day was the culmination of the trip, Mach Picchu itself! Our guide Manuel was wealth of knowledge on history of the peoples as well as the locations within Machu Picchu itself. We took tons of photos (Manuel is a great photographer) and walked among all the ruins and buildings we’d only seen in pictures before. A five-star day at the end of a five-star trip. The next day we road the train back to Ollantaytambo, were picked and driven to the airport in Cusco where sadly we had to begin our trip back home. Overall Notes: From the beginning of the process, our questions and concerns our agent Debbie did a fantastic job. When I saw our first detailed itinerary I hoped the trip would go as beautifully and uneventfully as the planning indicated. It did. Great job on Debbie’s part. Ten out of ten. The hotels we all superior lodging with good breakfasts, nice bedding and plenty of hot water. The guides and driver were all very educated in their local story and conversational as well. If we had a single issue I don’t remember it! I’d book with them again and would recommend them as a great choice for Peru travel.

Dream Trip for Senior Sibs

We asked that a tour be created for specific dates, specific travelers (4 seniors, experienced travelers, adventure lovers), with lodging, transportation, and guides pre-paid and first class. Inca Expert Travel delivered in all categories. This trip was a "bucket list" for us, and we were pleased. No unexpected issues or disappointments. Highly recommended.

A fabulous South American experience

Our holiday could not have gone more smoothly, despite the cracking pace we set ourselves. Leila’s good advice, suggestions and always immediate responsiveness has enabled us to experience some magnificent culture, history, wildlife and food. Iguazu Falls, the Amazon rainforest, Inca ruins and the extraordinary Central restaurant in Lima were some highlights, too many to list here. Our guides were excellent and thanks to them and Leila we have many magnificent memories of our month in South America.

I booked Machu Pichu for my wife

I booked Machu Pichu for my wife. Maria was our contact person for the booking. She listened to what I said and booked them a very memorable trip. It was perfect. Everything that Maria said would happen happened. They were met at the airport by their guide and from that point forward they were cared for. The guides were exceptional! My wife says it was one of her most memorable trips. The hotels, guides, tours and restaurants were all awesome. Thank you Maria! I would highly recommend Inca Expert Travel and especially Maria.

Excellent trip with Inca Expert

Our travel advisor Debbie was excellent. She was always responsive in a timely manner and was attuned to our wishes. The tour itself went exactly as planned. We were given a very detailed itinerary and were always met by a representative as expected and our tour guides were well informed. The pacing was perfect for us: lots of sightseeing but also some downtime.

A lifetime travel experiences to Peru

We had an amazing 17 nights custom tour in Peru with Inca Expert Travel. Our planning agent, Grecia, was very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, patient and responsive to our requests and questions. Their co-ordination within Peru was outstanding and we had an excellent knowledgeable guides and drivers with very clean cars. We were greeted nicely with local representatives while receiving detailed information. I was quite impressed with the Whatsapp support staff. They were very responsive and on top of our travel schedules and any changes. Thanks to them that we were able to retrieve our bag left in the car to the airport. They contacted to the driver and gave us the direction where to meet him within the very busy airport at Lima. Hotel selections were very good as well. I would highly recommend Inca Expert Travel and would use them again for other South American Travels.
