Scam.ca and not giftcards.ca

The most appalling service I've ever received till date - I ordered a Esso gas gift card and it turned out to be a discount card on purchase of gas $0.05 off per liter - why would someone gift a discount card? I spoke with customer service and they offered to refund the amount as they acknowledged that the card should allow me to buy gas and not provide discount, however my request was declined later via an e-mail stating terms and conditions that once card is bought it cannot be refunded and was suggested to sell the card on a website cardpool.com I spoke to a Customer Service Supervisor Luis - empl# 889 and was being informed the same excuse as per T&C we can't refund the amount. I asked to escalate the same to a manager and had to hang up before speaking to a manager after being on the phone for 35mins. I have called customer service again to get a resolution. Please do not make any purchases from giftcards.ca unless you would like to lose your money

Changed a 1x$75 order into 4x$75=$300…

Changed a 1x$75 order into 4x$75=$300 without asking me, billed me the $300, then refused to refund. The only recourse is to "exchange" these 4 cards on a sister site they own for different cards. Update: Based on the reply by giftcards.ca, I mean it's potentially not a scam, just either poor support, or poor support tooling to assist customers. I am tentatively removing the "Scam" and avoid note, if the refund does indeed go though I'll change the rating as well.

it said it was processing!.. never received my bestbuy card..!.. i'm glad it froze and did not go through!.. so that i don't have to deal with fraud.

Please don't use this website. it was a horrible experience.. I purchased $100.00 gift card for someone who helped me,, and it had never delivered.. I called their customer service, and eventually they agreed to reimburse,, however, according to them, it may take a month to get back my $100.00 what a poor business!!! almost like a scam!!! Please do not purchase any gift card from this website. very poorly operated!!!

Same as the others. They also are withholding $ from me & I have opened a case against them through VISA. I entered the wrong email address (my fault) 2.5 months ago. They couldn’t just change the email address and re ship. They claim they already spent my $ because that’s how this works and won’t give any of it back to me til they receive all of theirs. They claim to have $3500 of the $4K I spent back but won’t give even that back to me until they receive the other $500. I’ve called a dozen times and every time it’s the same b.s. They’ve left me feeling like they have no intention of re paying me and couldn’t care less about resolving the issue even though my company has spent $25K in 2 months since opening the account. Customer service is pure joke and I’m not saying they are crooks - but I’m not saying they’re not.

Same as all the other reviews. Cancelled my order and wouldn't give a reason. If they could even just email you and confirm a cancellation it wouldn't have been so bad. Do you think it's possible that they're just getting credit card numbers and personal information?

Unreliable

If i could give this website no stars, i would. It seems like cancelling orders with no notifications whatsoever is an ongoing issue. Recipient never got the e-card, called to inquire why and I was told order was cancelled for whatever unknown reason they can't even provide....so embarrassing and i basically entered personal information for nothing. I am spreading the word. Unreliable.
