Stay away. Ordered yesterday 3 egift cards, confirmation received within 10-15 minutes. Ordered 2 more today (December 24th), nothing after an hour. I start a chat, and they tell me it takes 24 hours to process. No thanks, today is Christmas Eve. So I tell them to refund me, but it takes 5 days to process (besides bank process time of 5-7 days, of which I am aware). So they are fast to take your money, very slow to refund. The support person was trying to be helpful and cancelled one order, I will see if it's really cancelled tomorrow. I get an email saying that the order is cancelled, but no order number. Rarely developers are that incompetent, it's most likely the company policy. Also, their chat software does not allow you to save the conversation or email it to you. Overall, very untrustworthy company, in my opinion. EDIT after response: thanks for the response, but the experience just got much worse. I got an email that the other card that I bought yesterday (and that I asked to be cancelled) has been actually sent. Now, is it cancelled or is it delivered? Impossible to tell. Will have to call my friend and explain why he did got a card that may or may not work, and why his wife did not. Terrible, just terrible. EDIT again, increased the stars to 3, they are trying to fix the problem.

Stay away from this company!! I spent two hours carefully selecting 16 cards for my 16 colleagues, each with a lot of thought, and a personalized note, only to have my two orders rejected with no reason given. The next day, I was on hold for 50 minutes to find out the details, only to find out that the CSR could not tell me the reason either! She suggested there was something wrong with my credit card or the billing address, which there is not. She had the nerve to suggest that I re-enter the entire order and try again! I will go elsewhere! My credit card online record shows that the charges were pending and then were reversed. I suggest to you that they are harvesting credit card numbers for nefarious reasons. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

Problem with multiple card purchase

If you want to buy one card, the service works great however if you are buying more than that in one transaction it is a problem. The security protocols cancel the transaction and therefore resulting in the user wasting time entering comments etc. for hte recipiants. It ended up taking me 4 hours to send 6 cards.

FRAUD ALERT!!

FRAUD ALERT!!! The 3 cards I purchased for my staff were not usable, and within hours of the charge to my credit card, several fraudulent transactions were charged to my credit card - I had to cancel it! Blackhawk Network is being investigated by the BBB. Stay away - do not use this site - FRAUD ALERT!!!

Will never use this company again

Will never use this company again. Headaches trying to purchase egift cards to send to employees. Thought it would be a life safer but was nothing but trouble.

Purchased $200 of gift cards last…

Purchased $200 of gift cards last month. Went to use them online this week and site says they have already been redeemed. Yet I didn’t share the codes with anyone. Emailed giftcards.ca and it’s been days with no response. Very unhappy that it looks like I’ll have to file a grievance through my credit card company. Update: I still have not received a response to my email to giftcards.ca and instead of responding to my email they responded to this complaint saying they see I’ve already filed a grievance through my credit card company which is false - I have been waiting for a response from them to my email but it seems they don’t care to look into the matter or respond.

I shouldn't even put a star there I am so upset ! Not only did I have to sign up for an account twice and still receive no confirmation email but without waiting for that email, I had placed my order for a $50 door dash card with all required info including credit card info TWICE and had not seen any confirmation of submission on the site or received any acknowledgement of the purchase via email. I spoke to Sergio from customer service chat and he was no help to me either. What kind of reputable company does this ???? All I was trying to do was send a gift card for a meal delivery to a young mother who had to emergency deliver her baby b/c she was just diagnosed with cervical cancer. Good thing I took a screenshot of my order. I will be following up on this !

Customer Service - Please contact me - Did not receive the card

Hi, I purchased and paid for an ESSO gift card as a gift for someone and it never came. I tried calling your customer service number and no one answered, not even a busy signal. Please contact me right away so you can resolve this. Update: Giftcards.ca rectified the situation and sent a new card after this complaint was lodged. Thank you.

Avoid the hassel

Avoid the hassel. I purchased a babiesrus gift card and when we went to use it, it said it was invalid. I called customer service who directed me to toysrus and said that it may need to be activated, but did not provide instructions outlining this with the giftcard. I have been on hold with Toysrus for almost 2.5 hours trying to get this sorted out and who knows if I will or not. Very little help from customer service and cannot get through to toysrus/babiesrus Super frustrated.

I just purchased gift cards for my…

I just purchased gift cards for my staff but the system would only take 10 orders at a time so I had to make two orders. The second order did not get processed and when I called I was not given a clear answer why it did not go through and that I would have to reorder it. I have just completed my second order and decided to do a review and noticed many people not receiving what they have paid for and now I am concerned. I will follow up and let the the Customer review know if the gift cards were recieved and able to use them.
