If I could give a 0 star rating I…

If I could give a 0 star rating I would. This company is part of a bigger group of companies, The Perfect Gift is one of many. They are totally ridiculous group that has terrible customer service. My company buys at least $25,000 dollars in gift cards each year for customers and staff. We had terrible experience last year with actual cards with fraudulent purchases on customer gift cards. So we thought we would try online ecards. We tried buying from their sites with our company cards and keep getting error transactions. We spoke to our bank and visa security, they authorized 10's of thousands of dollars on our multi cards, and they keep saying the error was on our end. Spent over 8 hours thing to give this company $25,000 dollars to only be hung up on with no follow-up, even when they had my email address and phone number. Never again, and if I were you stay clear of this company and all the others that sell these cards, they are nothing but frauds. I have no idea how they represent Visa and Master Card, those companies should be ashamed of their approval of such fraudulent companies. Dale G

Stole my money

Took my money even though the website said the card didn’t go through. I just want my money back or my giftcard, can’t contact support until later. Awful experience, don’t waste your time on the website Edit: Company responded and basically said “nuh uh, it’s your bank’s fault” while I’m still missing $57.95 (the exact amount I had paid on the website). Again, sketchy website, don’t use it.

Billing Issues??

Everytime I try to order cards I have billing issues. One time a payment went through for 2 gift cards but would not on a 3rd one. Customer service was no help.. I tried to buy a Sephora card today and it said there was an issue do to billing information. I went to the Sephora website and put in the exact same info and it went through instantly. I’ve learned you can get gift cards directly from most company websites now so I don’t know why I keep trying this frustrating site.

Orders keep getting cancelled!!!!!

I purchase virtual payment cards to shop online to keep my credit card details protected. Two successful gift card orders on this website: $25 and $100. But now!!!! My orders keep getting CANCELLED. Same card, same billing info, same location, same IP, and same device. It’s ridiculous that this company is big enough to stop someone else from offering the same service but due to their horrendous algorithm, CONSUMERS SUFFER!!!!! AND PEOPLE DONT HAVE ANY OTHER PLACE TO GO SINCE COMPANIES LIKE THIS STOP OTHER PEOPLE FROM HAVING A MARKET SHARE. Edit: Still no refund, $300 pre-authorization is stuck “pending”. Edit: I did talk to the customer service team via phone and live chat numerous times. All they tell me is to make sure my billing info is correct. I’m using correct billing details that I have verified with my bank statement and I tried using Apple Pay, Google Pay and 2 other bank cards, but NOTHING WORKED.

I bought a LCBO gift card yesterday

I bought a LCBO gift card yesterday. I still haven’t received an email confirming it was sent. The longer I’m waiting for that email confirmation, the more I think this is a scam. I just lost $50! In this modern day, why does it take so long to send a gift card confirmation. I wish I read the reviews here before purchasing a gift card from them. Update: talked to chat and they were able to help me and I’ve now received an email regarding the gift card I purchased.

The recipient of a $100 Walmart gift…

The recipient of a $100 Walmart gift could not use it. I chatted to customer service and was told to call Walmart. In other words, I was given the runaround. I won't do that because Walmart will give me the runaround as well. I have no time for this nonsense so basically I am out of pocket by $100 unless I get a full refund. I am being overly generous by giving you one star. I won't be dealing with you again.

Giving even one star is too much of a…

Giving even one star is too much of a reward for this poorly managed business with customer service that seems to not give a care in the world about how they represent the company they work for or if the customer is not just satisfied but also provided with what they purchased. If I was an employee here I would be ashamed to admit it. I have purchased multiple gift cards from this site over the past year or two probably over $1000. Recently I purchased a $130 e gift card for Walmart for my son's birthday and was ecstatic to give it to him due to not being the mother he's always deserved and this year for Christmas and his birthday I've been sober and was able to buy him what he wanted for the first time in too long. We went to Walmart and he picked what he wanted with excitement and when we went to pay we were told that there was a $0 balance on the card. When checked there was always a $0 balance and they sent me an empty gift card. Not only was I completely embarrassed but my son was left right where he expected to be with me, disappointed and feeling like other things mattered more than him and with good reason him nor anyone else in my family would believe that it wasn't my fault. I reached out to giftcards.ca whom told me to call a support number at Walmart, whom then told me to call another support number at Walmart, whom then told me to call the support number for giftcards.ca again. I have now spent over a week on the phone with each number everyday being sent in circles and getting absolutely no help or results. Between both companies in North America they easily bring in multi millions of dollars every single day but can't seem to provide a single mom with $130 gift card that was already paid for or even apologize, all they did was offer a reference number and a new phone number. I didn't just lose $130 but I lost being able to hear my son tell me he loves me, because he doesn't want to speak to me anymore. I know that this was the straw that broke the camels back and it's not entirely the fault of either company but why when you can see it's a $130 card and with no purchases made and a $0 balance should it be such an exhausting and extensive process to get what I should be entitled to? I pray that each and every employee for both companies never has to see the look I saw on my son's face that night and you never have to deal with (I won't even say customer service specialists because I felt like an enemy not a customer and was not provided with service but feel like I had been taken advantage of and my money stolen) anyone treating you like I've been. It was my son's 17th birthday and my last chance to do something right before he becomes an adult and all they helped me do right was prove to him and everyone else that being a let down of a mother is all I get right. Thankfully my son is as awesome as he is because almost didn't remain sober but just hoping he gives me another chance one of these days has been enough to keep me sober. YES, OPEN A FRAUD INVESTIGATION ASAP!! PLEASE AND THANK YOU!!

They refunded my money

Beware!! - stay away is my advice. Absolutely terrible experience is all I can say. I signed up for an account using my everyday email address and puchased a gift card and sent it to the recipients email. I subsequently noticed that I did not receive an email confirmation of my purchase. I checked with the recipient and they had not recieved the gift card email. I resent the card by logging into my account on giftcards.ca. Still the recipient did not receive it. I opened a chat session on their web site. I was told that if I dont have a quote "standard' email, that is one with a domain such as @gmail.com or @yahoo.com then it wont work. However, their system did let me create an account and purchase a gift card with my everyday email addess that I successfully use for everything else. This is a scam imo. I asked for a refund, I was told that the request has to be escalated to their refund team. We will see if I get the refund. I'll take this as far as it needs to go to uncover these guy's shady business practices. In the meantime I have to go find another way to send the gift. I acknowledge they did refund me for the gift card, I appreciate the response and their communications albeit via Trustpilot cause they can't send me an email to my personal email address - strange setup. For this I give them 2 more stars. They should really look at modifying their system so that people with emails using custom domains or corporate domains can use it. Or, at the very least block the ability to send a gift card to such email addresses since under the present regime the individual the gift card is meant for will never receive an email notification that they have a gift card.
