I was a bit skeptical. As the reviews here are horrid awful. I seen people say things like "Under Review" should be automatic. I understand these processes better than some I understand ALL transactions on the internet take time to be verified. But certainly could be a method used by scammers. Not receiving cards, company claims might have went to spam folders. There were more. Although my experience is I had all of those things happened. Although my gift card went to my inbox (singup emails went to spam). And it only took about 5 MINUTES for it to go under review. People are very impatient I think. I would like to encourage people to use the site, as my experience was great. Not saying this will be the same for you. I have used this website in the past I believe, not 100% sure but I think so just don't have my old email anymore to verify. If it was the same place it also went well every time. Stay safe everyone.

HORRIBLE...purchased cards on more then one occassion. No refund provided. Never recieved the cards, they stated it was technical issues and their system cancelled. Money lost.

I ordered 2 gift cards today and neither of my sons received them. I received an email saying it was processed and the time of delivery. I went to my account to resend the email and they still have not received an email. I also sent an email to customer service and have not heard back.

My order # is 8536882. Today Feb 13, 2022 I ordered through Giftcards.ca a CAD $100 "The Children's Place" gift card, to be emailed to my friend. To my surprise, after the credit card payment was made, the onscreen message said "We have received your order and it is being reviewed. We'll send an email confirmation to (my email address) once the order is approved and your payment is processed." First of all, I have NEVER seen a message like that after doing an online purchase. These systems are automated - or should be - and the emailed confirmation of receipt of payment should be IMMEDIATE. This creates suspicion. Further, this is not a physical product that needs to be shipped to the recipient. Therefore the emailed e-gift should have been sent to the recipient instantly. PLEASE ACTION MY ORDER ASAP AND EMAIL ME TO LET ME KNOW. OTHERWISE, CANCEL THE ORDER AND REVERSE THE PAYMENT. I AM DISSATISFIED AND UPSET!!!

I should have read the reviews saying giftcard.ca is a scam before purchasing from the site. I thought since it sounds official and established, I'd have no issues. I ordered 4 all4one physical gift cards at $45 each. I received them in the mail and it required me to activate them all online. When I went on cardactivations.ca to activate them, it told me the card numbers do not exist. I also went on one4allcard.ca to check the balance and it said the card numbers do not exist. I went back to giftcard.ca and chatted with customer service to get a resolution and they told me they have to look into it and just left the chat without providing an explanation. If you want to lose your money and deal with hands off customer service who can't answer your questions, go ahead and purchase from this site!! *******Reply from company below is FALSE********* Card numbers still not recognized by one4all. Don't believe what they say. *******Reply to below: Yes, five times I contacted you guys to no avail. Seems like this is the most effective channel.*******

Brutal customer service and transparency. Accidentally bought a giftcard.ca card on the Mealtrain site (was trying to buy a door dash gift card for a friend whose spouse is ill). Given their life upheaval, they didn’t mention receiving it. Emailed customer service for a redemption status clarification several times and despite the auto-response saying “we’ll get back to you in 3-5 business days”, I’ve never received any response at all. My account says gift card was redeemed, but provides no additional information. The site is scammy, customer service non-existent, and I’m skeptical the card ever made it to the recipient. Avoid at all costs. I’ve asked Mealtrain to remove the giftcard.ca links from their site, too.

Update on Oct 29, 2021 - Finally, I was able to get a replacement card with original value. I'm happy now though could have been a smoother experience. Pathetic customer service - I got this gift card from a friend and never realized that there is a monthly maintenance fee. I lost all money loaded onto this card in the monthly fee and when I realized this, I called the customer service and they assured me that since this is an honest mistake, money should be coming back. It's been 4+ months now and I am calling every week to get the status on my request and I am getting the same answer - "This is stil in process, let us raise a new request, you may call us back in 3-5 business days to get an update". I have reached a point where I have started getting some people responding to me on call. I have memorized their answers. Even before they tell me this, I tell them what they are about to say and ask them if it's correct and they tell - Yes, you are correct :) What a shameless pathetic company. Stay awaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

I used this service to purchase four gift cards today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised with the results. On each occasion, I received my gift card within the hour. Thank you! 100% satisfaction! I look forward to using your services again in the very near future.

I should have read the reviews first before i ordered a gift card today!!! my recipient has yet to recieve her gift card and IM flat out ticked right off!!!! Should have read all these terrible reviews before i even bothered!! All i can say is i better get a refund or else im reporting this sight, i may report this site anyways! Shame on you for scamming people!!! Terrible everything!.. doesn't even deserve a one star!

This site is a scam. Gift cards are only valid in very select cites and locations across Canada. I purchased a Sobeys card for my friend for his birthday only to learn it's only valid at 3 locations in BC... and that the card can't be used online to order groceries. During covid?? Tried to get a refund but their bot customer service engine just tells you refunds aren't allowed. I guess they really expect people to read pages and pages of fine print before making a purchase. Meanwhile the language on their site stresses the 'Canada-wide' aspect of the service. Horrible company. Don't be a sucker like I was.
