Fantastic service

Fantastic service. I have used both the secure postal service and walk in to the Hatton Garden branch and both have been 1st class. I will always use this superb company as i trust their work and know my watches are in safe hands.

What was said, was done. Only time will tell. Cheers.

As norm, the price of things are all through the roof, I'm just getting old. That's the way it is.

LWR come to the rescue

Firstly I tried to get my late wife's watch repaired by Maplin and Webb unfortunately I was told that it would have to be sent away and would not be back till late Jan early feb, so called LWR they sent me the postage parcel, they emailed me the next day to say that they had received it, sent me a quote for a new glass, battery and also had a service whilst it was there, very reasonably priced and watch returned in just over week, ready to pass onto my Daughter as my wife would have wanted, great service.

First impression great but …..!!

I wanted my TAG watch serviced and found LWR on the internet. The website looked good as did the reviews so I requested the postage pack which arrived promptly and looked very professional. Receipt was quickly acknowledged by email and I quickly received another email a couple of days later on 25th November confirming the watch had been inspected and that an estimate would follow as soon as possible. I phoned twice chasing the estimate and was told this normally took between 5-7 days (longer than it took to do the analysis) which was eventually received on the 3rd December over a week after the watch was inspected. The estimate confirmed that: 1. The service would cost twice as much as the “prices from” amount shown on the website with no real explanation for the increased cost. 2. That the repairs would take between 15-20 weeks from the date payment was received. Again with no explanation as to why a service should take so long. Had I known that I would be without my watch for 6 months then I would have thought twice. Trying to seek an explanation for the increased cost and the length of time I emailed “management” and got an auto acknowledgement telling me to expect a response in 1-2 days - I am still waiting! Given my concern over the increased cost and the length of time I declined the estimate and asked for my watch to be returned. The FAQ’s on the website confirm this can be done subject to payment of the postage which is £24 or £21.60 depending on which bit of the website you read. I was told an invoice would be emailed to me and when paid the watch would be returned. I chased the invoice twice and it never arrived? I decided that it would be easier (and slightly cheaper) to go to Hatton Garden and collect the watch personally. I did so today and received an email today confirming the watch had been collected. While I have no doubt the repair services are very professional I would suggest the poor customer service doesn’t create the best impression and that customers expectations could be better managed at the outset regarding cost and the time required to complete a service. While appreciating the delicate and precise nature of the work I am still at a loss to understand why a watch service could take longer than it takes to build a house! Anyone using LWR needs to be aware that they could be without their valuable timepiece for a very long time!

Quality ‘go to’ company. My first choice.

Totally reliable and trustworthy company. I have been confident in my dealings with this professional company with two of my previous Omegas and will be sending another for refurbishment in the New Year. Sensible pricing, good levels of communication and nice sense of personal service all contribute to a great experience. Thanks to all at LWR.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I recently sent my Omega Seamaster to LWR to replace the battery, they sent me a quote to fit a battery and also a quote for over £700 for a service and other work that “needed doing”, after countless phone calls and emails my watch was delivered back to me in a flimsy cardboard box not working. So I sent it back to LWT who replaced the battery and offered to do the same remedial work for £600 ! Since looking at on-line reviews I see that LWT lost their accreditation to repair Omega watches in July, I challenged them on this only to be told they outsource any Omega watches they cannot fix or get parts for. I demanded my watch be returned immediately it is now December, so I now have a watch that does not work been charged for a new battery and the company is refusing to refund me. I despair at the customer service, or lack of it from LWR it just seems they don’t care as to how they interact with their clients. If you want my advice look elsewhere to get your watch repaired.

I wonder where my watch is?

I sent my Tag to these jokers 8 months ago for what should have been a straightforward repair. Numerous delays, no communication without my pushing and still no idea when my watch will be repaired. Do yourself a favour and do not use these people.
