Very good service
Very good service, will be using Luxury Watch Repairs again!
At your own risk..,
I took my Omega watch to the LWR stand at Harvey Nichols, Manchester for a battery replacement. Their rep described the condition as ‘normal wear and tear’ but it was pristine. The watch was sent to LWR’s own service centre. It came back a week later with significant damage to the area where the watch back would have been prised open to replace the battery. Of course, LWR has suggested that the damage must have occurred during a previous battery replacement but its only previous battery replacement took place on 4/5/2019 and that was carried out at an official Omega service centre to their usual exemplary standards. The damage now inflicted has significantly reduced the value of the watch. Be aware that you get what you pay for and you might well be lucky, but when things do go wrong with LWR you will not have the protections and reassurance that come with dealing directly with the watch manufacturer. Being based within Harvey Nichols gives LWR an air of respectability and I was no doubt influenced by that - but I feel I have a duty to warn others about my unhappy and financially ruinous experience with this firm. It pays to read all the negative reviews as well.

I still don't have my watch back and…
I still don't have my watch back and have like others not had one message or update from them only a response when i chase and that isn't every time ! ; i cannot explain how disappointed I am with them and feel there communication is worse than poor; they have now had my watch for 6 months and i have just been told another 2-3 weeks subject to testing ?!
Rolex oyster service
My watch was serviced efficiently and regular updates were received by email as advertised. The watch is working well, thank you!
I would have given them a zero if I…
I would have given them a zero if I could. Terrible experience with Luxury Watch Repairs (LWR). Sent my vintage watch to them for a service and repair to the hands, one of which had detached. Watch returned - hand repaired - all good - but, be aware, you will have to send A LOT of emails to get any form of update. BUT, a month or so later, the hand falls off again. So I return it to LWR, who say it’s not covered by warranty (even though under the Consumer Rights Act, a warranty is not required), not their problem, not interested, all someone else’s fault, problem etc etc. I have been emailing and writing to LWR, including to their MD. He doesn’t even bother replying! Emails to their general office and management aren’t much better. It now looks like over 6 months later I will get my watch back, not repaired, no offer of recompense - I would steer well clear of LWR. One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company. EDIT: to respond to LWR reply. I sent my watch to LWR for a service and repair of the hand. Who in their right mind pays for a just a ‘service’ of a one handed watch, where the other hand is floating around the case? LWR have stated there is no warranty on a maintenance service. There is a difference between a "warranty" and statutory consumer rights. A warranty, is governed by its own terms and conditions and there is no legal entitlement to a warranty unless it is expressly agreed to or offered by a provider. Consumer rights on the other hand cannot be limited or restricted by any warranty terms and are in place for up to 6 years in England and Wales. Sections 49 and 52 of The Consumer Rights Act 2015 (“CRA”) require a company to carry out a service with reasonable skill and care, and within a reasonable time, whether provided directly by them or via any subcontractor. So I will not be changing my review. luxury Watch Repairs are simply awful.
