Refreshed battery and refreshing service!

Popped in to have a battery replaced in a watch. Colin was very friendly and said would be able to do this in 20/30 minutes. He was true to his word when I came back. Made sure I was happy with everything and confirmed details logged in file in respect of the 2 year battery guarantee. Incredible service!

A fantastic experience

Taking my Tag Heuer for a battery replacement was an excellent, stress-free experience. I'm always nervous about parting with my vintage Tag but Charlie, the Store Manager in Manchester, immediately put my mind at ease. Charlie clearly has a passion for watches and his interest in timepieces is infectious. The battery replacement was handled swiftly, along with a bracelet adjustment. I can't recommend Luxury Watch Repairs enough. A fantastic experience.

DO NOT USE

I entrusted them with an Omega watch that was my late Dad's. I gave it to my son on his 18th. It needed a new strap and service. They said it needed to be sent to Switzerland as it was a watch from the 1970s. That was 8 months ago. Any emails have been ignored and I can't get through on phone. Absolutely NO contact since I've sent it, no idea how much it will cost or if I will ever see it again. For an item that has great sentimental plus monetary value I would never trust them again.

Appalling quality control

I sent my watch for a service estimate and the price they quoted was more expensive than the Omega Boutique. I declined the quote and asked for the watch to be returned. When it arrived back it was broken. The winder was loose and could be pulled out. They presumably opened the watch case to assess for the quote and then incorrectly reassembled it. The fact that they sent it back in that condition tells you all you need to know about the quality of their work and their quality control. I emailed them about the problem and then called about 10 days later. They hadn’t even read my email. I now have the watch back but would not recommend anyone to use this business. I have now had the chance to read LWR’s response to my review. The fact remains that they did not notice that they had broken my watch before returning it. Here’s a thing - try filtering Trustpilot on recent reviews rather than the default “curated” view. Count the number of one star reviews in May alone.

Omega Speedmaster repair

I decided to have my Omega Speedmaster watch serviced and repaired by Luxury Watch Repairs (LWR) 16-18 Hatton Garden, London, EC1N 8PN and posted it to them September 2023 and received an email on the 24th September quoting an estimated repair cost of £1,040.40. I transferred the sum immediately as requested and was told that the watch would be returned to me pristine between 15 and 20 weeks. Having heard nothing from them after the 20 weeks I messaged them to find out the status of my watch repair. I was told that it would take a while longer as other parts were needed. I messaged them from time to time to check the progress and have to admit I was getting very anxious whether LWR were ever going to return my watch. My original review was written on 01 June 2024 and only today, 26 July 2024, I received my watch and I have to say it is immaculate. If it had been returned sooner than the 10 months it took I would rate LWR with 5 stars. In the end extremely pleased with my watch.

From the beginning I felt my watch…

From the beginning I felt my watch would be safe , sent in special packaging and tracked and signed for. The pricing for the service was good value and they did a great job bringing my now vintage Rolex back to good working order, and a 3 year warranty. I could email them anytime to find out the progress of my watch. Overall I am impressed with their personal service and quality of their work. Many thanks Martin
