20 years of good service from Vector

We installed a Vector security system 20 years ago and have been completely satisfied with the system and service throughout the years. We purchase the monthly monitoring and repair service, and we've always received excellent service within a short response time. The service people are knowledgeable, trustworthy and competent.

Unprofessional Technician

After updating my wireless security to 256 bit encryption, I could not get the garage opener to work. Vector insisted on sending a "technician" to my home to re-code the app. It took him four hours to do this ( I would estimate at least 4 cigarette breaks of 15 minutes each in his truck) after multiple phone calls. He berated me for having security cameras in the house, insulted my beautiful home and said that "his " security consisted of two dogs and two cats.

Needs better phone service

We needed to have a repair person reconnect some sensors on new sliding doors. It was a very long process. First call I waited 18 minutes. And was told a technician would call to confirm. Nothing happened. After the weekend I called again. This time it was 9 minutes on hold. Finally spoke to someone who gave me a date and time frame. We never had this before and we've had the service for 25 years. Isn't there an easier way to schedule maintenance? Or do we have to set the alarm off?

I thought my old system was easy, but this one is even more so. No buttons to push and really enjoy the new features.

Vector Security 10/2015

I like Vector Security. I opened the basement door and set off my alarm. I ran upstairs to turn off the alarm. Just that quick and Vector was calling to check on us! I feel safe in my home and that is that best part!

Poor customer service

I've had several issues with getting my issues resolved in a timely manner. When trying to find information on how to end my service once the contract has expired, they are not forthcoming with all of the necessary information.
