Terrible Service

First, we have been with American Alert / Vector Security for 19 years. The fire alarm on our system went off twice on 10/12/22. There was no fire. At this time, we found out nothing was working on our system. Service said they would be at our home at 8:00 am on 10/19/22 to troubleshoot the system. Yes, when the technician showed up at 9:30, he was instructed to only change batteries. Obviously a lack of communication between the service personnel and the field personnel. He couldn't fix anything because it wasn't a battery issue. He said someone would call me that same day to schedule a new appointment. For this, I had to take a half day of vacation time. I didnt receive a phone call from someone until 11/1/22 to reschedule, two weeks time?! Since I won't take anymore vacation time for this situation, the phone person stated she would have to clear with management to schedule an after hours appointment and that she would call me back the next day to confirm. She never called back. On 11/16/22 I called them to cancel our service. I was told they would mail me a form to fill out to cancel. We still have not gotten anything from them. I feel I am due a refund from 10/12/22 to present. I wish to hear from you on this matter and confirm our cancellation. Clearly your security company has communication issues that is disturbing in a security business.

TERRIBLE COMPANY!!

TERRIBLE COMPANY!!! They will sell you everything and anything - if you ever need service you are stranded on your own. Used them for over 5 years - Its impossible to get them to come out. I will be switching to RING security - my panel has tons of issues and will not function. They do not care at all. Terrible terrible company!! Stay away Seriously! And lastly they increased the monitoring price to $54 a month! INSANE!

Do not get vector!!!

Cameras are junk and pick what they actually want to pick up. The app is very delayed and unreliable. Can't wait till our contracts up. I hope this saves someone from getting stuck with this horrible company.

My husband was sent to 3 different…

My husband was sent to 3 different people to cancel the service. His mother had passed and the house was empty and being sold. They wanted a letter and a copy of the death certificate before they would cancel. If we get another bill from them we will be contacting the BBB and an attorney. What a scam. We will definitely be telling others about our experience.

Almost impossible to cancel your service with this terrible company! I'm supposed to get a call back from their cancellation department but they never call back.

This is the worst experience I've had

This is the worst experience I've had. Customer service is a joke never can help these cameras are a waste of money. I was supposed to get a doorbell camera. When the installer got her he stated he couldn't install it so they decided to install a security camera in the front pointing at the porch. These don't really record anything. You can look at it live for about 2 min. Then you have to load it again. It's supposed to detect people animals and vehicle. It detect vehicle, and starts recording for about 8 sec then just stops. If someone sits in your car for fair a few sec and then get out it will not record it detect you walking directly in from of the camera. I was told i had to get sd cards for that. That's lame. But i was also told they would come "pop them in" for free. No one came i bought better cameras from Amazon. I want to cancel they are not honest.

TERRIBLE customer service

TERRIBLE customer service. Received a call from DONNA on Thanksgiving day and the miserable WITCH hung up in my face as I was trying to understand the reason for the call. I thought Halloween was over, but I guess some people are like that everyday!

Terrible company

Terrible company, poor equipment, poor service, bad central station monitoring. What more can I say? If you can avoid this company, by all means do so, ESPECIALLY if you are a commercial customer that does not like to be called routinely, late at night, to hear about a faulty unit going off, from a company that makes no attempts to fix the problem. Look at their pathetic reply below…..

I had no choice to give this company 1…

I had no choice to give this company 1 star they deserve negative 5. This company by the WORST. Do not do a contract with them and if you do they will tack on many charges after you try to cancel and will also send you to collections without notifying you. I am so upset with this company, you will be to. Customer service will shuffle you around so you are frustrated for cancelling and on top of that send you to collections without your knowledge, not even a phone call nor email.
