Very dissatisfied with this service

Very dissatisfied with this service. The doorbell camera barely works and that was my main reason for getting security.

This company is not worth the $55 I pay monthly. The cameras only work half of the month, I keep getting sensor notifications from the window in a bedroom that's perfectly fine! Don't waste your money!

Vector Security is a scam! Fake bills. Harassing phone calls. Lying about service upgrades to get into your house.

Vector Security is a scam! Scam! Scam! Do NOT hire Vector Security! They will harass you for life, once they have your phone number. We have not been customers since 2018 - that’s 3 years - and Vector Security is sending us new, fake bills and calling to harass us daily. It started about 6-8 months ago. I have told the harassing girl (who calls from Baton Rouge number) repeatedly that we are NOT customers, we do not have or want their service or equipment, and to stop fake billing us and stop calling us. She then calls back the next day. Same girl. Same voice. She calls both my phone and my husband’s phone. And that’s not all. Here’s ANOTHER Vector Security Security SCAM — A couple years ago, Vector Security called repeatedly and tried to trick us that they were our current security company and needed to upgrade our equipment. They weren’t! We had cancelled service a year prior. I fell for it at first and when they showed up and started messing with the security equipment, my true current security company quickly called and asked what was going on (they were getting signals from equipment). My current company explained over the phone that Vector Security company pulls this trick to try to get back a cancelled service. I quickly kicked out the shady tech from Vector Security...who was in my home (scary)...before any equipment was changed. This is the first bad review I have ever written in my life. Telling Vector Security by phone to ‘stop calling and billing us and that we do NOT have or want their service’ is not doing anything. Maybe they will listen to this rant, since other people can see/hear it. One more call from Mrs. Baton Rouge and I will spring for the money to get my attorney involved. Will be worth every penny. Are you listening Vector Security?! Again, stay far, far away from Vector Security. Ironic that a company who is supposed to keep you safe is a scammer/harasser and taking advantage of people. Edit: the manager called in response to this review and said he would take care of it. He said we wouldn’t be getting any more fake bills or harassing phone calls. Well, a couple weeks later we got another, larger bill for current service. We DO NOT have their service!!! And then today, a letter from a collection agency. Do better, Vector, and Vector Manager. Now I have to call an attorney. And you will be paying my legal fees.

I am the backup for a friend when he is…

I am the backup for a friend when he is out of town and there is a problem. Today, he was home, but his system was going off all day, so they called me about 5 x. I called the number they gave me (Columbia, MD). Called it and they sent me to their alarm call center. I asked to be taken off until July 14th, because the owner was home. They sent me back to Columbia and nobody answered. That isn't the worst of it. My friend pays for a monthly maintenance fee and he could not get an appointment for someone to come out until July 14th. They said just because the system was going haywire, it wasn't covered under the maintenance plan and too bad nobody could come out. It is a frickin' emergency when the alarm is constantly going off. Horrible customer service. Stay away.

Only giving one star because I can't…

Only giving one star because I can't click zero. I never recalled signing a 60 month contract. I was provided with the alleged contract that i signed. Its definitely not my signature. I told the dealer THE DAY I SIGNED UP FOR SERVICE that i would be moving. He assured me with military orders it would be no problem to cancel. He never said i would either have to sell my house or pay over $2300 for a service contract that was binding for 60 months. If this was the business model from the start, good luck with future military customers and competing in todays market with other security companies.

Vector’s gross negligence in the…

Vector’s gross negligence in the management of my home alarm system and their refusal to repair it in a timely fashion resulted in several weeks in my home without the coverage they promised. After I sought another alarm company because they refused to repair my service, they sent me to collections for the balance of a contract they were clearly unable to fulfill. I never missed a payment. I never gave them a reason to want to lose me as a customer. But when the rubber met the road, they were completely unable (or unwilling) to hold up their end of the bargain. Instead of owning their inadequacy, they have chosen to extort money from a 7 year customer that they were simply not interested in retaining. Do not do business with this company.

NEW PROSPECTS BEWARE!!!

If you are looking to purchase Vector Security please, please read the contract in its entirety before signing it. If you cancel your contract you will still have to pay the entire 3- or 5-year final balance. Also, the contract auto-renews at the end of your contract term. Vector customer service rep explained to me the they do NOT remind you of the auto-renew. They leave it up to you to remember in 3 to 5 years that the contract will auto renew. Once the contract auto-renews you are again locked in and cannot cancel it unless you pay the entire 3 to 5-year monthly fees. If you do not want to auto renew you must remember to send them a letter 30 prior to the renewal date. The sales rep will not explain this to you. They just want the sale. They give a sweet song and dance but at the end of the day they just want you locked into this never-ending contract. So please, please read the contract before signing. Also, the customer service reps are very rude. So, if you don't like locked-in contracts with rude customer service reps then I would advise that you choose another company.

Terrible equipment camera never works…

Terrible equipment camera never works alarm goes off all the time for no reason and keypad does not recognize your finger where it, then there is a contract that autorenews without letting you know and the customers arrive reps are rude and tell me that I needed to read the fine print, so I am overpaying for an alarm system that doesn't work like it should and keeps me up at night because of false alarm and all anyone can tell me is sorry and they can't do anything more except charge me over $500 to cancel
