Great Service, poor product

The alarm service is great and so is the customer service, i would rate them a 5. The reason i rated so low is because of the door bell camera is a piece of crap and doesn't work. They have replaced it 3 times already. Its a waste of money and works when it wants to. I do not recommend the door bell camera.

to long to wait to (1) speak with a person in customer service (2) If you need service its usually a week to 10 days wait. Thats not acceptable in my view.

I accidentally opened the window before…

I accidentally opened the window before turning off security system. A Vector Employee was on within 10 seconds and asked if everything was okay A verified who they where speaking to and asked for security pass code My Husband and I where very impressed

Horrible customer service and security

Do not sign their “agreement” it’s a contract that they will not give you any type of wiggle room with. We have multiple instances where our alarm would go off at like 3 am or random times because the sensors were not aligned properly and absolutely horrify myself and our children. We also have had so many times where the videos would stop recording who was at our front door or wouldn’t load the live feed to show us live who was there. It’s the worst feeling ever especially when you are out of town and you get a notification saying movement at front door but then never get to know who or what was at your front door. To top it all off our home got demolished by a tornado so we don’t even have the home anymore that we had our security system at and they still sent us a bill for almost $800 because they said we had to pay the remaining time left on our contract. Blows my mind that they are more worried about their $800 than they are the fact that their customer lost their home in a tornado. Really really horrible customer service. Look elsewhere if you want to be treated nicely and if you want to feel your home and your family is protected!!

We recently had our alarm system…

We recently had our alarm system upgraded and have already had a system failure. We had 2 false smoke alarms at last evening/early morning. Called first thing for a service call and could not be scheduled for 2 weeks, entirely too long to wait for a security system repair. Had we not been home, which would not be uncommon in the summer, I fear that the fire company may have broken into the house to look for the fire.

Biggest Mistake of Home Purchase was This Alarm System

I purchased a home 2 years ago and it was the best decision of my life. The worst decision of my home purchase was signing this 3 year agreement. The camera system is terrible, it is continually getting fixed. The cameras allow you to set limits on recording and how much movement and or not it catches and starts recording. It all is terrible. I have set these limits, walked through them with customer service and took their recommendations. I still have hundreds of recordings a day, reach my monthly quota and then they stop recording. Save yourself and go with Nest or ADT or any other service. I feel like I was ripped off.
