I purchased a car from Bravo Auto last…
I purchased a car from Bravo Auto last February, but after just two months, I faced a major problem with the back brakes (caliper, brake disc, and pads). Unfortunately, they claimed it was wear and tear, and there was nothing they could do. I trusted their 150 point check, but now I’m not so sure. I recommend double-checking the car’s condition after purchase. Disappointed with the overall experience.
Avoid. Despicable car quality
The salesperson sold a car without out minimum of 6 month MOT as advertised and declared to customers. Also, the contract discussed was changed without my knowledge. To bring clarity, we had discussed a PCP contract yet my written (binding) contract is a HP. The quality of the car was unsatisfactory and when raised to the garage associated eith the dealership they disallowed it being repaired under the warranty the dealership praise to be a useful protection against issues with their used cars. Altogether, the dealership is overtly misleading and unwilling to take any accountability. I would not recommend because of the quality cars and the subsequent customer service.
The worst customer services and after sales service ever
We bought a car from Bravo Auto in Halifax on 22nd April this year. It was 3 years and 5 months old and cost over £20K. It was sold to us with a FULL service history as this one the main thing my husband is a stickler for, and would not buy a car without one. The paintwork was a bit of a mess and we were told that this would be sorted before we picked the car up the following week. When we went to pick it up the following week and realised the service book wasn't there, the sales lady gave us a piece of paper with 3 service dates and the mileage and we were told she would send the service book/invoices on to us when they had them. Needless to say, they never arrived. The car paintwork had been improved, but the car wasn't overly clean and neither did it smell inside like it had been valeted as new/nearly new cars do. It was a dull day when we collected it but the following day, when the sun was on the car, there were horrendous buffer trails all over the paintwork left from whoever "buffed" it. My husband spent 2 hours properly doing this and only managed to do 2 doors and after that, we had that awful hot weather so it wasn't suitable to do the job as it would have been detrimental to the paintwork. Shortly after buying the car, my husband did his usual under bonnet checks and found the coolant was very low, well below the minimum level with barely any in the expansion tank. He added a litre of coolant and has been checking twice weekly since, and the level has not changed. How this wasn’t picked up on the pre-sale checks they do and during the service they performed before the car was given to us, I just don’t know. On a few occasions in the early days, the car failed to start and I thought it was because I was pressing the brake instead of the clutch when starting the car, as my previous car did, but having used an ODB tool to scan, the clutch pedal was showing as an A/B sensor mismatch. Also on this scan, the battery was showing weak. Testing with a battery tester confirmed this and we had to replace the battery which wasn’t cheap due to the battery type and capacity. On Fri 30th June, there was an awful noise coming from the engine and it was immediately taken to our local mechanic who, even before my husband got out of the car, diagnosed a water pump problem and advised him not to drive it. That afternoon, we booked the car in to Bravo Auto BOLTON, which was the most local branch of Bravo Auto to us, some 20 miles away. On Monday 3rd July, I took the car to Bolton and waited, for 4 hours, before a mechanic even looked at it. At that point he diagnosed a noisy alternator or water pump. To cut a very long and stressful story short, it remained at the garage for 17 days before we finally got it back yesterday. We were told lie after lie about courtesy cars, phone calls, when it would be fixed and it even was sent to an independent garage to finally resolve the issue as they didn't have the correct tools, or so we were told. The customer service along the way has been appalling, we were told it would be cleaned, hoovered and a full tank of petrol in it on collection as a gesture of goodwill, and needless to say, none of that was fulfilled. The only reason we couldn't discuss this with the service manager when we collected it was that she told us she wouldn't be there as the service team were on a training day. I called today to find out why we hadn't had a courtesy call to check we were now happy, only to be told the service centre had been closed and will be closed until next Tuesday and that no, there was no training day yesterday, it was closed because of staff being absent. UPDATE - Thank you for your response. My husband emailed you straight away as you advised, quoting this review and 4 days later is still waiting a response. We still haven't heard from Bravo Bolton or Halifax as promised!! UPDATE 03/08/23 - we have still not had a response from Inchcape, Bravo Auto Halifax or Bravo Auto Bolton, having collected the car 14 days ago.
Serious problems with car - no support
Jaker was extremely helpful and kept me informed throughout the process. Great service, happy with my new car! 6 months after buying the car I have had 5 issues that I had to fight to get resolved going up to the business manager. My car has now got a serious water leak which of course is not covered under warranty, not only this but the branch has shut down. Please do not believe these reviews as they pressure you to write them during the sale whilst it is being finalised, aftercare is poor at best with a few people being genuinely helpful. For £13k I didn't expect this experience.
Bravoauto Cannock AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Spent £7.7k on a faulty car in January and currently being potentially left with a £700-£1.4k bill that the warrantee or showroom potentially won’t pay. Fault was existing was the car was bought and engine light came on the second I got it. Also contact you constantly to get a sale but once there’s an issue, take days to respond or just completely ignore you. Have already escalated to Inchcape but currently no response. AVOID!
Kate the sales lady at bravo auto…
Kate the sales lady at bravo auto Halifax was very helpful and nothing was to much trouble very positive experience from start to collection of car
Waste of time
Waste of time. Kept hanging around for ages. Then a derisory offer for my car. Went down the road and bought one from Motorpoint. Then had a phone call from Bravoauto presumably to improve their offer. Not interested.
I found the whole experience of buying…
I found the whole experience of buying my car from bravoauto excellent and would highly recommend the company to anyone, The service i received from Alex, Fergus, Steve and Tony was brilliant and any questions i had were dealt with straight away, If there are any issues they are dealt with asap.
Great Customer Service
I would have no hesitation buying from Bravo Auto Cannock again. Customer service was first class, and can’t thank Stephen enough for all his help.
Absolutely shambles
Absolutely shambles. Bought a car a few weeks ago. Was ment to go into have a issue fixed that i picked up on test drive. Nearly 3 weeks later still no car. Customer service is pathetic. Salesman pushing for sale for monthly quota yet failed to update any progress with the problems. Banging on about being oart of the inchscape group and they are part of jag etc etc yet it like its just a sales pitch an when the cars sold they dont care Got money back and think Ive dodge a massive bullet there
