The pacey cuff has been useful but I am…

The pacey cuff has been useful but I am disappointed by the uncomfortableness of the power sleeve which tends to bunch up and also sticks to the skin if used more than an hour or so. I also am annoyed that the velcro on the sleeve almost completely lost its grip even though I have tried brushing it and keeping it clean of fibers etc. Obviously this is a problem because it causes the pacey cuff to loosen with little movement, thereby defeating the purpose.

Size recommended is not accurate

Size recommended is not accurate. The item works ok but it seems I have to tighten it more than I expected. My measurement was on the in between size difference. May order a smaller size. Not sure. Some days it works really well and some days it is difficult to deal with. Overall it is a good product and hope the effectiveness improves.

Great product.

Great product, I recommend it for everyone. Absolutely the best I have used. There is a learning curve but stick with it, you will be glad you did.

First cuff was defective

First cuff was defective - the lettering came off - but Pacey replaced it quickly. However I can't seem get it to work as planned. Either it's too tight and irritates or it's leaking too much. I've used Depends pads for years and really hoped to be rid of them, but I'm only saving perhaps one pad daily, out of three or four. This is disheartening. I'm awaiting a call from Pacey to provide some further advice. Hopefully, TG

Complexities

I was so hopeful but I think more information is required. In my opinion the Power-sleeve while comfortable is not going to last. It is very lightweight for daily usage. The overall design with the urethral pressure is quite brilliant but I think your designer assumes we can all find the centre of our urethra easily. Remember we are looking for it from a different angle and it is on the bottom of our penis. I found finding the urethra is very much more important than it sounds. The pressure material is very good and the pinching is almost nonexistent but if the urethra is not absolutely in the centre you are going to experience leakage.

Pacey Cuff Rocks!

I have been using the Pacey Cuff Ultra since mid December of 2021. I had a radical prostatectomy in September, 2021 which left me incontinent. I have been going to physical therapy sessions to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles but the recovery process has been slow. Because I was getting tired of the constant wetness associated with incontinence and having to change pads several times a day, I began doing some research on the internet and that is how I came to learn about the Pacey Cuff. This little device has changed my life. I used to worry about leaving the house to do just about anything in fear of having an embarrassing accident. Having to carry several pads everywhere you go was no fun either. Many times I would just stay home because it was too much of a hassle to deal with. When I read some of the reviews posted by others, the biggest complaint was that people had trouble with the placement of the device. It takes practice and a lot of it! At least for me it did. The device comes in three sizes (S,M,L). I tried a couple of different sizes and finally settled on the medium. You have to experiment a bit to make sure the pressure pad on the underside of the device is pressing firmly against the urethra. Then while holding that firmly in place with one hand, (don't let it slip), use your other hand to thread the strap through the top portion of the device and cinch it down firmly but not so tight that you cut off the blood circulation to the penis. Trust me, you will know if you do. It takes a bit of practice until you find the exact tightness and placement but once you do, just remember that spot by looking where the number on the strap lines up with the notch on the plastic portion of the top part of the cuff. It also comes with a sleeve the company calls a power sleeve that serves as a buffer between the cuff and your skin. The directions say to fasten the sleeve on either side of the penis but I have had much better results by fastening it directly on top. (easier to fasten in that position too) Before putting the cuff on each morning I apply a little skin cream (optional) to the skin then fasten the sleeve and finally the cuff. The cuff remarkably stays in place and does not slip. I thought it would but it doesn't. Yes it sounds like a process but I do all of this now in less then 5 minutes. Like I said, practice, practice, practice. The device can also be worn in the water swimming (saltwater or swimming pool). Washing everything every night before going to bed with a hypoallergenic soap only takes about five minutes. Let the cuff dry completely. You are not suppose to put the cuff on wet. The company claims the device should last about 6 months before replacing. Mine is four months old now and it still looks almost like new and that is hand washing it every night. The quality of materials used seem to be of high quality. I now have purchased another cuff. While one is drying for example after swimming, I have another to wear. I wear it from the time I get up in the morning until I go to bed at night. I don't even know I have it on. And I have had no skin irritation whatsoever. I still wear a light pad with it to catch small leaks that can occur when I sneeze or cough for example. Some may think the device is pricey but compared to the number of pads I used to purchase, this is an absolute bargain. Once you get used to wearing it one or two pads should last all day until you go to bed at night. Customer service is also very good. I have called them twice with questions and they were very helpful. Before going out in public, I suggest getting use to it by wearing it around the house. I hope you will find this review helpful. Just remember, practice and patience are the key. All of a sudden you will get it and have that "AhHa" moment. And don't be afraid to call customer service. They are there for you and ready to help.

So far so good

So far so good. The cuff is not bulky and it does its job very good. I use it while exercising and it is pretty comfortable.
