Just beware of the shipping to foreign countries. You kind of have to track the shipment and manage it. You may have to fill out customs forms.

Purchased a QNAP NAS. and the price was no more than Amazon charges, but these guys provided very helpful pre-sales support and also answered a few post-sales questions quickly and at no charge. I would definitely buy any kind of NAS product from them again. Very pleased.

I was let down by another supplier for an 8-bay NAS. Span had it in stock and part price matched so I thought I'd test their Tech Support asking how I should update and expand the RAID6 array on my main 10-bay NAS using the new NAS, as expansion of my current NAS was not possible after I switched from 4TB to 6TB drives. An outline of the steps was promised. I decided to order the new NAS anyway as I was told they are not a box shifter and have a reputation for good support and which is why their prices are not the cheapest; the guide was promised for delivery with the NAS. Despite reminding Span multiple times, I never received the guide; but in any case, I'd thought through how to perform the expansion so all was not lost. The plus points for Span are their helpful telephone manner and efficient order to delivery process, I'd give them 5/5 for that. Where Span fall down is not delivering on promises and from my experience poor Technical support knowledge. So, in future, I would use them again, but only if their price was right.

Be wary of purchasing from Span.com. I am returning an item I received yesterday unused, and they are insisting on charging me a restocking fee of 20% of the item's worth. The item is worth £350, so they want to charge me £70 for returning it.
