My sister and I purchased a chair, for my mother, which has stopped working. The Recliner Factory refuse to repair the chair under warranty, saying the warranty is not valid because their account shows my mother as the customer and she has recently passed away. In fact, legally, and under clause 2.1 of their own Terms and Conditions, the customer is my sister because she ordered, received delivery and paid for the chair. I explained that our position is supported by the Citizens' Advice Bureau but they are happy for me to proceed through the small claims court to recover the cost of repair, regardless of the additional facts that we had Power of Attorney during the purchase and are executors of my mother's estate. Do not buy from this company, they do not honour their commitments. Following feedback from the company it needs to be stated that the warranty is a legally binding contract. Regardless of what name is used on the account, the contract is with the person that ordered, received and paid for the chair - that is the legal definition of "customer", a view supported by the company's own T&Cs which defines the Customer as "the person(s) agreeing to buy goods from the Company". Being 99 at the time, severely deaf, a bit senile and extremely loathe to part with a couple of grand for a chair (that now doesn't recline or raise you upright), my mother certainly did not agree to the purchase and had no knowledge of it. There has been no transfer of the warranty. The company is quite simply wrong, although its T&Cs are correct!

Brian & Kevin did a great job removing our old furniture and fitted our new riser recliners. The new riser recliners were fantastic and so comfortable and don't want to get out of them

Brian and Kevin were such a nice pair, who worked so well together as a team, delivering a reclining chair and fixed sofa to my first floor maisonette, so had stairs to contend with. They made sure they didn’t damage doors etc, as getting the furniture into the living room was a tight squeeze. They made you feel at ease and explained the workings of the chair remote, before leaving. A credit to the Recliner Factory.

I am so happy my new chairs arrived today, and they are perfect, just what we ordered. The men were very helpful and efficiently set up the new chairs and took away old ones. They left no mess, and were cheerful and professional. Great service all round from beginning to end and I would certainly use them again.

My chair was delivered yesterday (two weeks earlier than expected). Both Brian and Trevor were excellent and we enjoyed their banter. Their demonstration was very helpful. I am enjoying the chair which is so comfortable and making my life easier. I also love the attached reading light.

Very good experience from start to finish. Craig and Ollie installed our chairs and settee swiftly, and even though Craig twisted his ankle on the kerb he carried on (hope it is better now). Both were cheerful and explained the workings of the chairs whilst we sat in them. Our thanks to all for the excellent service from the demonstration by Ammo to the installation as above. Brian and Richard arrived on time and we were pleased they wore masks. Although the internal doorways of our cottage made bringing the chair in difficult for them , they never complained. The demo and explanation were easy to understand and both men were a pleasure to talk to .

Excellent service delivered by Craig and his sidekick. Bed was delivered on time following a phone call, it was set up and demonstrated well and they were courteous and respectful of the paintwork. Thanks guys.
