Pulling out of San Diego market

I'm a property owner trying to have a condo leased by Onerent. We've already signed property management agreement. The company emailed me the night before our property walk through (prior to listing) to notify me they are pulling out of the San Diego market area, so they cancelled all management of property. Sounds like a move just prior to a massive death spiral. Be careful. Be very careful. I just wasted three weeks.

AWFUL. I am trying to fire them and I can't even get the keys back at a timely manner

AWFUL. I am trying to fire them and I can't even get the keys back at a timely manner. They are awful in communication - they didn't responding to my email, calling me without a notice, not being able to get a quote on paint job for two weeks and asking questions on the questions from the applicant who doesn't seem to exist. They were nice before I signed the agreement and after that, they are total nightmare - schedule a call even without asking, call without scheduling, making a wrong promise on maintenance and the list won't stop. I told them I want to speak with their manager and the property manager says I am the manager. No - I need their manager / their boss. Now I am trying to get my keys back and they are not even responding to my email, call. This is totally unprofessional.

I like the idea

Onerent is a cool startup company and I think the idea is a great one - take the hassle out of apartment management. I moved into one of their properties last week and while it wasn't seamless, I did appreciate the personal touch that they offered when resolving issues. I could tell that they really wanted to make things work and were reasonable and responsive, which is more than I can say for most apartment management companies. I think they still have a few kinks to work out, but overall I'm hopeful about this relationship and excited to see where they go from here.

Great company.

As a land lord it's not always an easy job. One Rent makes it easy. I would give them 10 stars. Thanks again

So Simple. So Fast.

After weeks of dealing with big rental companies and generic apartments, we stumbled onto OneRent and our experience couldn't have been better. The apartment we found is a gem—a restored Edwardian in a great neighborhood—and from the first email to the day we moved in everything was simple, quick and pleasant. We were worried about noise from the pub next door and Vince even agreed to meet us at the unit at 10pm on a Friday night to check it out. That's outstanding service. And the service is ongoing: online payments to make things simple, and a responsive management company when we have questions or concerns. Looking for a place to live in San Francsico is full of challenges, and having a proactive partner to make things simpler made all of the difference to us.

Fair value

So far I have had a fair experience with Onerent. They charge 5% (which is lower than most property managers). They deposit money into bank account on first of every month as per contract. The times I had issues were when the contract said I would be keeper of deposit money and I had to chase it down with my manager to get the money deposited (else they did not have it on their radar for the money to be deposited). Similarly I have been looking for clarifications on some repair invoices that I received for a month and have not heard back.

SOOOOO pleased!!!!!!!!

When friends talk about their unpleasant experiences with property management companies, I am constantly reminded of how Onerent sets itself apart from its competitors. Billy worked diligently at a VERY "slow" time of year to get my place rented to wonderful tenants. Whenever there's been some maintenance issue (rarely), they are quick to contact me and to get the issue addressed. If I were a tenant, I would also be impressed with how quick they are to resolve a problem! Indeed, they make it a "win-win" for all parties involved. In short, I have already recommended their services to friends and family who are moving out of the area and want to rent their places. OneRent is the "real deal," and their skilled management has taken a huge burden off my mind. THANK YOU, OneRent team!!!! ( :

Forward looking and modern property management

OneRent is an excellent hybrid of a high-tech startup and an energized property management company. I love the Cloud based infrastructure they have created and specifically the modern interface for owners (and tenants). The best thing about them is being ultra responsive and highly communicative. As an owner, my biggest issue for years had been trying to dig information out of my previous management company. My entire portfolio of over a dozen properties is being managed by OneRent now and I would highly recommend other owners to try them out (one unit to start with).

Ups and Downs

I had some turbulence with OneRent getting my place rented (they gave incorrect information at showings, didn't provide updates often, etc.), but once the place was rented, it was smooth sailing. However, recently, I noticed that the rent payment I receive was short $65. They had never communicated with me about why this would be and I had to call them at least 10 times to finally get a proper response. Apparently, the charge was for maintenance that had taken place over 4 months ago, about which I was never alerted. I am still working to resolve the issue with them, but the experience has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.
