I was unsure of what exactly I needed to order as my opticians refused to tell me my pupil distance for my prescription. I contacted the company explaining my confusion. Allan got back to me and helped me figure out exactly what I needed and what my PD would be. I then sent my glasses off to and received them back, completed, incredibly quicky. I've just received my glasses after having new vari focal lenses inserted. They have a good line of vision and are very clear. I found the ordering very good online although I nearly made the mistake of ordering coloured lenses rather than polarised. Allan at Glasses Outlet (GO) asked me to confirm this and so rectified my error. Sometimes the wording is confusing in the description of lenses and the various types. (Note to self to research wording more) GO kept me up to date in how the order was going although I had to ask whether my glasses had arrived as I was slightly on edge ordering on-line. These glasses have come in at under half price than the high street so don't get that ripped off feeling. I'll definitely use GO again. Cheers.

Sent in my glasses for a lens replacement for updated prescription. When they were sent back, the arms had been bent outwards, to the point they are now falling off my face. When tried to contact them about this they became argumentative. Very unprofessional. **UPDATE** in reply to latest reply from the shop. The glasses did not require "adjustment" before you got your hands on them. And I requested a charge back as your customer service was not helpful and became argumentative with me on WhatsApp.

Brilliant service from Paul and the team whilst purchasing our first commercial vehicle from Summit.

Avoid at all costs! Bought a van from these guys (41k van) and although the initial purchase went smoothly enough, I found myself chasing the V5 around 5 weeks after purchase. I was told it was in the post and to sit tight. After speaking to dvla they informed me that Summitvans had signed the van over to someone else (not me) And they couldnt help me as a result if this. Back to Summitvans I went only to be told that this was their mistake and they will sort it. Months went by and nothing! I then contacted dvla again and managed to get some answers. 7 months later I received the V5 with an additional owner on the logbook! I wasn't happy with this so contacted Summitvans again after a chat with dvla and a lovely girl helped me in the office called Jess. She was lovely, unlike Ian who sold me the van who actually gave me attitude for calling!! Couldn't fault Jess but Ian and Paul I would stay away from! I've since been informed by Paul (who works on sales) that his colleague Ian may have infact fraudulently obtained the finance on my behalf!! Gave them a chance to put this right and still been messed around! Very unfortunate as I thought I was buying into a relationship with them and would come back again for my next van. Very disappointing to say the least. I will also be leaving my review on their social media.

Shopping for fine jewelry on the internet can be fraught with problems and uncertainty, particularly when the website is for a store outside of the country. The exact opposite was true of my experience with the Ecksand team. My two carat Asscher cut studs were just as described and even prettier in person, as were my three stacking birthstone rings. The Ecksand team was super-easy to work with and very responsive. Now if only I could meet them in person!

We bought a fun MX5 in August and were very pleased with it; shiny black with all sorts of upgrades. Over the next couple of weeks, we noticed a few small issues, squeaky suspension being the most obvious, so we took it down to our pet MOT+Tyres garage to have a look. On the ramp we found that the drop link bushes on the anti-roll bars were shot, and the chassis showed all the wear an 11 year car should have. Happily we knew Auto DEtailing in Newbury so we booked the car in for a Lanoguard and full detailing. David is in charge of the detailing and Ed the Lanoguard. Over their pit we had a closer look at the underside; nothing rotten but everything in need of attention. After a thorough wash the monocoque was treated with Nitromors to stabilise the metal, then the Lanoguard applied. While it was curing David started the three part washing process. When the MX5 was done we couldn't believe how shiny black it got, but then we found out that was only Part 1! A complete clay brick treatment took microscopic particles out of the paint, then a buffer polish, and finally a ceramic wax treatment and we genuinely couldn't believe how the car looked, and felt. I felt like Ford Prefect [HHGTTG] "it's so BLACK - light just simply falls into it!". But even that wasn't everything; when DE says "detail" they mean it. Every little thing they found along the way was tweaked; a loose front air splitter was properly reattached, the Mazda wheel inserts were cleaned inside and out, and all the rubber seals treated with a special sealer. There was NOTHING they didn't do, and everything done to perfection. We'll be taking our other two cars for the same treatment soon, and annually to keep them all in top condition. We can't recommend Auto DEtailing highly enough; the only reason we've given them 5* is because we can't give them *******

What can I say, absolutely incredible service from Ed and David, they treated my Land Rover like it was their own, I felt like I had booked it in for a spa treatment, they really went the extra mile and nothing was too much trouble for them, my Land Rover was in the best hands possible. Ed even went the extra mile and found a near by body shop at short notice to rub down and re spray the bumper, that he then refitted. Absolute legends, very good value for the level of service, I was kept up to date at all times, communication was fantastic, I will be back.

We met with Paul from Northern Survey after almost two years of battling with our new home builder over a poorly fitted front door which had bowed and would not lock properly. After nine inspections from the supplier and being told it was 'in tolerance' Paul came out at short notice and inspected this door and frame and found it to be out of plumb and distorted, contrary to building standards. Paul then met with the supplier at our home and agreement was reached to correct the issue. We will certainly be using Northern Survey again for all of our future house purchases. Highly recommended, great value for money and far beyond our expectation.

Paul and Simon are the team you need to call for house inspections and solving those tough to crack problems. I found Northern Survey through a serendipitous moment where I was having an ongoing problem in my house with little help from our new build developer. From the first moment I spoke with Paul, I knew I was with the right people. Paul and Simons approach was friendly, approachable and confident. I felt informed at every stage of the process and super confident in the services for my house. The inspection output and reporting is world class, as is the follow-up video consultation to walk through the report findings. I will be using northern survey again, and recommend them to everyone I know. The definition of superb service and quality. Like I said, this is the team you want.

Contacted Paul and Simon to do a survey for me and needed it done asap, they fit me in when i needed and spent nearly 4 hours doing through the new build with a fine tooth comb, they were both warm, friendly and 100% trust worthy, after the survey they have even popped by the house to double check a few details as they were in the area and also kept in contact with the building site manager, I am so glad I went with northern survey, it’s gave me peace of mind, as they picked up many things I wouldn’t, the price was also reasonable, will be calling them back once all my snagging list is complete to make sure there is nothing else and that all the snagging has been completed to a high standard. I had called upon the services of Paul and his team at Northern Survey to help me out in my hour of despair as a result of a partially and poorly completed plumbing job at our property. We used Northern Survey to do a pre-completion inspection followed up with two revisits for a retirement home we built in the Scottish Borders. Their service is exactly what we wanted and helped us deal with a very good local builder to get the quality and finish exactly as we specified - we could not travel to the site as frequently as we would have liked, living some 60 miles away from the new property. The office manager Tania, and the surveyors were lovely to deal with from start to finish, allowing us to change dates for site visits at short notice, and keeping us well informed and resolving any niggles with the builder. The result is a beautiful home that we hope to move into come July. I would certainly recommend this company and staff.

We booked a post completion snag survey with Northern Survey when buying a 4 bed property in North Shields. Although we bought the house from the first owner and not the developer, the house was only a year old and still within the two year defect reporting period, so we wanted to be sure all was OK before the defect reporting period expired. We checked out a number of snag survey companies in the area and went with Northern Survey on the recommendation of the next door neighbour who said she also used them and talked with one of their surveyors, Paul, who came across as super knowledgeable. Their prices were in the same ball park as some other survey companies, but the detail of the report and offer of a video briefing set them out from the rest. On the day of the survey, we had two surveyors at the house who went through the house with a fine toothed comb and even checked the house for heat loss and inspected the roof with a drone. Their report was so much more detailed than the Home Buyer report the mortgage company insists on, and is what I always thought a survey should be.
