Avoid at all costs! Bought a van from these guys (41k van) and although the initial purchase went smoothly enough, I found myself chasing the V5 around 5 weeks after purchase. I was told it was in the post and to sit tight. After speaking to dvla they informed me that Summitvans had signed the van over to someone else (not me) And they couldnt help me as a result if this. Back to Summitvans I went only to be told that this was their mistake and they will sort it. Months went by and nothing! I then contacted dvla again and managed to get some answers. 7 months later I received the V5 with an additional owner on the logbook! I wasn't happy with this so contacted Summitvans again after a chat with dvla and a lovely girl helped me in the office called Jess. She was lovely, unlike Ian who sold me the van who actually gave me attitude for calling!! Couldn't fault Jess but Ian and Paul I would stay away from! I've since been informed by Paul (who works on sales) that his colleague Ian may have infact fraudulently obtained the finance on my behalf!! Gave them a chance to put this right and still been messed around! Very unfortunate as I thought I was buying into a relationship with them and would come back again for my next van. Very disappointing to say the least. I will also be leaving my review on their social media.

I purchases numerous items of furniture and 2 sofas when moving house ans was very happy with all items. I purchased insurance my sofas. I had to use my insurance after an significant spillage. Originally my leather sofa was going to be recovered but I was then told.this was not possible and a replacement would be delivered. The replacement items are much poorer quality leather and a different shade to my original sofas. After a significant number of e mails to customer services I have still not been told by Barker and Stonehouse exactly what shade of leather has been delivered. So disappointed with their level of after sales care.

A brilliant experience at Carl Lewis! I had been considering a bespoke suite for a few years and after a bit of research and an initial consultation I decided to contact Carl Stuart tailors. My old wedding suit was no longer an option as I had expanded beyond its habitable zone since hitting my forties. My decision to finally take the plunge was also due to my need for clothing that reflected my profession as an artist, something I knew would fit and give off the right look when meeting clients and fulfilling professional engagements. As one of life’s natural scruffs I admit to feeling daunted when I walked into the Carl Stuart shop in Leeds for the first time (a beautiful shop btw). To me, suits were always something proper grown-ups wore and not for the likes of me. I needn’t have worried. Upon meeting Lewis, the store manager, he immediately put me at ease and assured me that lots of people need a suit at some point in their lives as I regaled him with my potted history of poor clothing choices and negative body image. I’m a short, fat bloke in case you were wondering. Anyway, where was I? Oh yes. Lewis went through lots of options and quickly understood what I was looking for. After a chat over a brew, we settled on a three-piece blue-grey tweed suit with a wine-coloured lining. Very classic, something that will serve me well for years. I found the fittings quite fascinating as I enjoy looking at how things are made. I had basically commissioned Lewis to perform a heroic act of concealment and was curious as to how he would go about it. As the fitting progressed, I was amazed at how comfortable the suit was and I didn’t feel hemmed in at all if you’ll pardon the pun. I am really chuffed with how the suit turned out and can’t wait to wear it. The whole experience was made even better by the service from Lewis and communication from him and his colleague Emily. We were quoted and accepted for supply and fit of new roller shutter garage door. We were advised that we would need to pay half up front before installation. The pro forma was received on 20th February advising they were expecting the door in a weeks time. We paid £800 deposit same day. Since then we've had no correspondence and we've been uanble to make contact with anyone despite leaving numerous voicemails and sending a recorded delivery letter. So please do not pay any money or deposits to this company.
