First time ski equipment shopper - buyer beware

First time ski gear buyer with very little knowledge on equipment and went in to Erik's hoping to get good recommendations made for my skill set and needs. Was very transparent about not having a lot of knowledge and was initially helped by a very gracious employee who took a lot of time to make informed recommendations to me. Went into another location to actually put my order in and get some final advice on the gear I was looking to buy and was told that based on what I shared that everything was compatible and would be a good fit for me. Was also told that if anything wasn't working out once I got out to actually try the equipment, they had a seven day exchange policy to get things sorted out. Cut to my first day out skiing and I realize my boots were too big - had heel lift and lacked control. I immediately went back into the store and told the employee what was going on. Instead of honoring the exchange policy and finding me a properly fitted boot, I was told to either purchase thicker socks or an insole and to keep working on breaking the boot in. Trusting the employee's recommendation as a first time ski equipment buyer, I bought the thicker socks and went back out. However, thicker socks didn't fix the problem as the boots were still too big. I went right back in the following day to get a smaller size as the boots just did not fit and was told that because of the skis I bought, a smaller size would likely render the skis useless as the bindings would have to be re-drilled, leaving the boots off center and potentially causing the bindings to fail. I was gutted as I would not have purchased those skis had that been explained to me prior to buying them. I was also told that because of the condition the boots were in they were considered used and could not be exchanged. This was incredibly frustrating because had the employee taken me seriously about the boots being too big, at least I could have walked away with properly fitting boots through an exchange the day previously. However, because I listened to the advice to keep working on breaking them in with thicker socks, I was left with a pair of ill-fitting ski boots. Desperate to make things work, I asked the employees what they would do in my shoes and they said to buy insoles. I went to another store to pick up the insoles in my size and put my boots back on with the insoles only to have boots that are still too big. Hoping to problem solve, I called Erik's customer service line and explained the situation. At each turn explaining what happened, the employee grew increasingly more frustrated and eventually hung up on me. Now I'm down $800 for skis that only work with the boots that are too big for me and will be very difficult to resell. This is not a place for first time buyers because in the event you are steered in the wrong direction, there is no customer service to support you or meaningfully rectify a bad situation. You will simply be sold even more products to solve a problem you worked to avoid. Their practices have left me feeling taken advantage of. Wish I could have seen the reviews here detailing similar experiences before heading into Erik's.

I was skeptical about ordering from their website after reading reviews. I was only ordering gloves, they took paypal and the price was cheaper than anywhere else so I did. I had no issues, kept me informed on shipping and they shipped pretty quick to the east coast. I'd order from them again.

Terrible customer service

Ordered a bunch of snowboard gear from their shred store website, and had my order canceled. Their reasoning was that my items were shipping from too many locations so they couldn’t handle my order. Maybe don’t offer free shipping if it’s going to make you cancel orders. And maybe don’t advertise across two websites (Erik’s bike shop and shred shop) if you won’t hold up your end of the deal.

Aaron at the Bayshore location in Glendale, WI was very helpful. When I picked up my bike there were some things that weren't covered and when alerted of this, the store had me come back and went over everything thoroughly. I know my bike better now and am happy with the experience.

This whole experience has not been worth the hassle to shop with Erik's. Negative stars. Erik's replied to this and just made more excuses while making up another scenario. Insanity. Leave me alone.

I wish I could leave a Zero star rating for Erik's bike Shop (Woodbury, MN). Ever been promised something and never delivered? Oh hey, drop you bike off and it will be done on Thursday, nope - Friday, nope - Saturday, Nope - Sunday...well...we just had other things stack in front of it (literally when they tell you that your bike is the front of the que). Caliper front brake repair - not that complicated. Over promised, WAYYYY under delivered - PLEASE TAKE YOUR BIKE ELSEWHERE.

I have done my CCTV, Door supervision, Fire Marshall courses etc with SFM Training over the years. I would recommend these people to everybody. There is a very warm welcome from them whatever your background or needs are, you will come from the classroom having learned a lot (they are all very skilled individuals).Although everybody is there to learn you will have a laugh also. be aware of Steve Brown lol as if you show him a weakness (first aid course) he will pick on you all the more ha ha... trust he will.however he is an amazing person with a brilliant sense of humour. John Hardford, again brilliant such a gentleman also knows his stuff through and through and dishes out the rules of SIA before anybody wastes their time and money on the courses beforehand, note that he is crystal clear on everything beforehand. Then we have Neil, he is driven just like John Hardford and Steve Brown. Neil is down to earth and he is also boots on the ground, if you work well in class there could be job opportunities, excellent role model for people who are just starting off in security. Tiff, she is brilliant also.. i could ramble on all day about these people. They are all amazing.

I did the door supervisor course with Lee Hancock; a great teacher, a funny guy, drives the knowledge into you, alongside entertaining stories of his doorman experience. Ten out of ten! I also did the CCTV operator course with Steve Brown...another interesting character and a really nice guy. Once again, a great teacher; the power of absorption, in terms of knowledge and learning is in repetition; and he knows this. A wonderful experience throughout...highly recommended.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced! Made an order yesterday and needed to cancel the order immediately as no longer required. Sent an email within 5 minutes of ordering and then 2 further emails over the past 24 hours with no response. Also called the customer service number with no answer, to then get a phone call back on a random mobile number from someone stating that they work for Saks home - Gave them my order number and they said that they had cancelled the order for me. I’ve since had no confirmation email to say that the order has in fact been cancelled and the money has been taken out of my account for the product! I’ve since emailed again to ask for confirmation that the order has been cancelled and to request a refund but have had no reply!! Not impressed at all and will have to continue to chase!! Would never use this company again! I’ve now had an ironic automatic email from them to ask for a review because they value their customer service!!!!!

The worst letting agents people and leave them un the the hand nasty landlords, I took property from them in Rectory lane , in 2021 and they did-not mentioned me regarding they just trap people for letting and don't deal with that afterwards, I The place i rented was the most uncomfortable place with no privacy , the landlord lied in the first day of entering the house that they didnt received the money i have to put scam claim through that i got my money however now i am struggling to get my deposit of £950 pounds , when i emailed them they mentioned they cannot help ,image below for reference of conversation , I had the worst experience and am very angry but grateful left that Nasty country . Please BEWARE and don't let through them specially in corner flats in rectory lane , looks good from outside no lifts and parking in the top the lady managing the property is a nasty person. Plus these agency supports. Save yourselves from all mental problems

I stayed home on June 9 awaiting my delivery. Package didn't come by 4 so I called the company. I was told my order could not ship before June 20, despite them sending the email and tracking number. My credit card was charged for a product that did not ship. I was then promised a shipment would go out that night. I am watching the tracking number and there is no movement. My next step is to contact the BBB and the attorney general of my state. I will also be disputing the charge on my credit card.

I visit Krispy Kreme everyday about twice a day .I always have coffee and about 3 times a week I have a doughnut.I do a lot of charity work and buy them doughnuts when I go ,.I learnt today that KK are having a revamp of staff and the person I have known for 7 years is being made redundant.I won’t say what store because this could compromise her position But she and her team have been not only given me great service always But have been there through some very bad times .So sad what is happening in retail and we only have Mr Starmer to thank for that

I was in the cork store yesterday and purchased a box of 4 donuts. Cost was €12. The donuts were absolutely disgusting! They were not fresh, the toppings on them had a stale taste. The lady that served us was very nice, no complaints there. But the Donuts are not worth it.

I contacted them to let them know that I have bought their doughnut holes on three occasions in recent months and they have been stale everytime. Christie was very dismissive which was very unhelpful and frustrating. Chloe said she would pass it onto the store manager which was appreciated.

DONT BOOK AIRPORT TAXI TRANSFERS

DONT BOOK AIRPORT TAXI TRANSFERS - complaints office located in London. I booked/paid online from Sydney a few days before departure for pick up on Sunday 10 November 2024 from Haneda Tokyo airport to hotel and return 2 weeks later. I paid extra for a MEET AND GREET on arrival once I exited Immigration which is where all the meet and greet transfers were located. The driver WAS NOT THERE with my name on a board. After wandering around looking for my name on the meet and greet sign, the Information desk nearby announced my name twice, and still NO SHOW. He WAS NOT in the nominated meet and greet area, but obviously somewhere else at the airport. He apparently tried to call me when I “was in the air”, After entering the arrival hall I turned on the airport wifi and Whatsup as indicated on my confirmation but no call was received. I even called the Emergency Number later when queued up in the taxi rank, BUT NO ANSWER, I cancelled my return trip due to the above within the terms and conditions BUT they have withheld my money!!! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! THIS SHOULD BE A NON RATING. I have several friends travelling to Japan and they will not be using this NON SERVICE. M Connors, Sydney, Australia

A great help for a distracted passenger

Yesterday one of your drivers picked us up in Setagaya at 6 a.m. heading to Haneda. License plate 2715. He dropped us off at the airport and we went directly to the check in counters. But then he reached to us to give us a small bag that my niece had forgotten inside the car. It contained her personal belongings, documents, passport, things she could not fly home without, nor could we fly home without her. Your driver has proven to be gentle, precious, helpful and quick. Please note. We are so grateful. He really made our day!

After a frustrating few days dealing with John Lewis customer service (in South Africa, aarrggghh), Virgin Media (in India, grrrrr) and DHL (Germany), it was a pleasure having my first order with Best of British Beer (a birthday gift for an old friend), having been refused (really?...in reality dropped and smashed by DHL!) completely sorted by BoBB's customer service lady Cheryl who dealt with everything and resent a new selection. This still arrived in good time and my beer aficianado friend was most impressed with the selection. Thank you BoBB, I'm very happy and your customer service was excellent and a breath of fresh air.

The very best removal and storage company. I've used Fox for several house moves and they are faultless. Geriant provided a competitive quotes and co-ordinated the house moves. I had access to unlimited packing materials and valuable advice. The removal staff were prompt, considerate and flexible. A house move can be very stressful but Geriant and the Fox staff made it so much easier. More recently I've rented a storage unit. Once again Geriant provided invaluable advice on the size of unit I needed. Storage at Fox Llanishen is super safe especially for a lone woman. Every area is immaculately clean and maintained. Rates are reasonable, there's ample trolleys, a lift to all floors and a wide choice of units. To know that Fox are along established family company increases my recommendation Thanks to Geriant and Cheryl for all your help

Horrendous Company. Please do not use Fox the Movers. On quoting and before our move things seemed good. But on the day of removal they had only minimal protective packaging. The only item they transported correctly in my opinion was my TV. They promise so much to protect your items and then on the day don't turn up with it. Due to this they damaged at least 50% of my furniture. The removal team sent out were also VERY inexperienced, all having worked for the company for less than 6 months. We are now left 3 months later with a complex insurance claim via a policy that isn't worth the paper it's written on. Fox the Movers and the Branch Manager Ben wont take any responsibility for the damage caused to my items nor refund me any money to solve. A little compassion would go along way here! PLEASE save yourself the trouble and don't book Fox the Movers.

We had six dirty used wardrobe boxes which we paid for , however when our moving date became unavailable , we had to use another company who were excellent (Warrens) , I’m so glad we did ! Now we have been given the run around by Fox staff and manager and a rather rude and unempathetic older gentleman, I would not recommend as we haven’t been given our refund and the customer service side is appalling if you have a problem.

EXCELLENT COMPANY

This company has been so efficient and professional every step of the way. The two removal men were extremely polite, friendly and helpful and they greatly took some of the stress out of moving. They moved the furniture and boxes with great care and skillfully manoeuvred the larger and heavy pieces of furniture through narrow doorways and up the curved stairs. They remained cheerful even in the pouring rain and took their time to ensure everything was in the right place in each room. It is great to find such a trustworthy company and they come highly recommended.

We recently got our bathroom completed by Ripples. The most professional company who have ever worked in our home. The initial visit to design the bathroom was covered by Paul who was just incredible. He is a genius when it comes to bathrooms - he came up with a plan taking all our considerations on board. This plan then turned into the final product which is the highest quality. Ripples are blessed to have a genius like Paul designing the bathrooms. We then met Emma in the showroom to pick all the equipment for the bathroom -likewise Emma was excellent so knowledgable and nothing was pushed on you. A brilliant young lady with a great customer service approach and a huge addition to Ripples. The 8 days the guys were on site in our home was seamless - the skip arrived when it was supposed to and the lads arrived on the button of 8am every day - they were immaculate and left the house clean every day. Josh was our main guy who is such a gentleman and great at his job. Overall 20/10 - incredible company who appear to have the full circle of getting a new bathroom from the very design stage to completion - outstanding and highly recommend ! Thank You 🙏🏻

Having two bathrooms designed and installed by Paula at Ripples, Saffron Walden has taken the stress out of ordering and installing ourselves. She’s a pleasure to work with. Paula was patient and attentive to what we wanted. She didn’t try to upsale anything and I felt she was professional and very helpful. What surprised me was that she came to visit a few time while the installers were working to make sure everything was ok. I recently had a kitchen designed elsewhere and never saw the designer once, so this was a very pleasant surprise which made me feel it was all going to be ok and we were in good hands. I loved the designs she came up with. Paula gently led me a little out of my comfort zone to create two beautiful designs that are practical but look luxurious. I couldn’t have done that myself. I’m so pleased I walked into her shop.

Rarely one to leave a review, but the service we've received from designer Jo Sangster and store principal Lisa in the Belsize Park branch has been second to none. Impeccable customer service and attention to the design detail from the outset, Jo has helped deliver 5 terrific bathrooms for our full house renovation. It has been a joy to work with them, always helping with trouble shooting, when the trouble was not caused by them, going the extra mile, visiting site and holding my hand through the ups and downs of a long running project. Jo has excellent communication and organisational skills and expertly liaised directly with our builders as needed. Fabulous range of products available too. I contacted Fylde Law some time ago regarding a civil matter and never received any kind of response from them. Also, one of their 'lawyers' recently represented me at a police station and was aggressive, accusatory and acted more like a prosecutor than a defence lawyer. Correction of previous review

I previously complained that I did not get any results but I did not realize that I had missed an email from Growmyprofile in which they explained that my link was marked private and that I needed to change it. I did that and they proceeded to get the results they said they would get. My apologies for my previous review. I plan on continuing to use them -- So far, so good!

They use bots plain and simple. Also, if you are trying to grow organically, like they claim, say goodbye to your video retention on youtube. The bots will destroy your retention time to 20 or 30 seconds which will destroy your video and it's chance to rank.

Son muy caras y solo las compraba de vez en cuando. Esta vez el aspecto era muy distinto a otras veces. Des de atención al cliente me han atendido fatal: - primero diciendo que la barrita estaba en optimas condiciones y que organolepticamente era perfecta (solo con una foto). - Después de algunos emails, me dicen que no quieren discutir más que ya me han dado las gracias por mi aportacion y, atención, que estan de acuerdo que el aspecto era mejor antes que han cambiado los estandares de calidad. Lo dicho, muy mala atención al cliente.

6 weeks and still waiting on my purchase. I placed an order on 8/25. As of 10/5 I have not received my item. I have emailed the seller multiple times. Each time I was promised that the shirt had been mailed and I would receive tracking information the following day. Now it has been right at 6 weeks. No shirt. No tracking information. I tried to cancel my order before it shipped and was told it was too late. It finally arrived about 9 days later. I didn’t mean to order 4 shirts and by the time it arrived I didn’t even need the shirts because the event was over. I’ve reached out to customer service three times and they still have not provided details for the return even though I qualify for a return according to their return policy. I have tried calling their customer service number and I get a recording that says no customer service agents are available for you. I see why they have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau.
