Ordered a raised bed with support frame from Waitrose Garden online. Product supplied by Garland Products Ltd. Part of the support frame was missing. Contacted Waitrose Garden via email, no response. Telephoned call centre and call handler didn’t know how to resolve the matter. Stated she would speak to manager and call back. No return call as promised. I emailed Waitrose Garden again, no response. Called Waitrose Head Office in Bracknell, UK, spoke to a helpful call handler, who was unable to help as it seems Waitrose Garden is nothing to do with Waitrose! Waitrose Garden call centre is in South Africa. Now looking at how I can get a refund. It seems I’m not able to return the raised bed to a Waitrose store! Do not buy from Waitrose Garden! Also contacted Garland Products Ltd, who stated Waitrose needed to resolve the matter even though it is a product from their company!

As you can see I reviewed garland products almost 4 years ago. This is the time of year when I get all my trays, propagator and tools out, clean them all ready for the Spring and the joy of reading the seed catalogues. Point being all are in perfect condition ready and waiting; what fantastic value for money these products are!

I contacted the company regarding a fault that had developed out of warranty. They responded straight away, and offered to replace the unit for a very reasonable fee. Having returned the unit, the company responded the same day to confirm it was faulty and would be replaced. Excellent service, and I will certainly buy from the company again, with confidence.

I had a question about the furniture cover I bought from Garland that I couldn’t answer on the internet. I thought I’d phone them up and ask. I must have been on hold for about 15 seconds before my call was answered and they sorted my problem instantaneously. I would definitely buy from this lot again.

Really good customer service. Had an issue with one of the garden furniture covers. Response was within 30 minutes and replacement arrive next day. Product has also been upgraded to prevent the issue happening again. Very impressed.

A good source of quite hard to find window sill trays, available direct from the English manufacturer along with a very wide range of other garden and home products (the 'Garden Trays' title here is a misnomer!) Arrived very promptly and well packed, will be buying again!

The actual work was carried out efficiently and the installation team was brilliant. When the electrician visited to connect everything, he was also knowledgeable and friendly. The problem started after installation- the electrician told me I needed a certificate from ThinkCarbonNeutral. I have been emailing, texting, and phoning since April but still no certificate. I need this to send to my electric supplier. I was told there was a backlog, but it still doesnt explain why I'm waiting so long.

When I complained to their customer service about this fraud, I was arrogantly told that I was aware of the fact that the products came from the Czech Republic when I received the invoice! Daah... but I wanted to know before ordering that it was a company from the Czech Republic and not from Romania, but this aspect is deliberately omitted by this seller, and thus totally misleads buyers into the false impression that they are ordering from a Romanian company! This sales strategy is very ugly, not being able to take advantage of your consumer rights to return a product to your country! Not recommendable!

4 or so years ago we purchased your milk paint and bonding agent to use on the walls of a small bedroom because you said it could be used on walls. At the time you told us it would have no odor once dry/cured even with the bonding agent. But for 3 plus years it still had an acrid odor, (possibly the casein) even detected by our worker who is not sensitive to odors. So we lost one of our 2 bedrooms and my elderly husband does not have his own bed/room. We had no idea how we could remedy the situation so consulted with some folks. First you told us to use your sealant on it and that did nothing except ruin the plum wall because your guy did not tell us it would cause white streaks (Should’ve received compensation for that) So we looked into an AFM sealer. We used it on all the walls and ceiling that had your milk paint. We left it for another year and just recently added 4 more coats of AFM sealant and it may have done the trick, finally! We highly recommend you advise folks NOT to use this paint on walls. It seems great for wood furniture and wood projects. We have gone through a lot of money to remedy this and I’m catastrophically disabled. You owe us an apology at the least, but you will probably turn it back on the customer. My father in law was a store owner businessman and he always gave the customer the benefit of doubt. This doesn’t mean we won’t use your products in the future for wood etc. but we needed to make you aware of how difficult this was for us. We had to redo the plum wall with a different eco paint After so many tries with the plum milk paint which got ruined by your sealant. (And no, there was nothing wrong in our walls underneath, as you tried to say, we checked)

We've ordered soapstone sealer from Real Milk Paint for years now. But after this recent transaction we'll never order from them again. We placed an order for literally one item and they couldn't even deliver it competently. Even though the packing slip was correct, they sent us cutting board oil. Hoping that it was a simple mistake that would be easy to rectify, we reached out the same day the order arrived and let them know they sent the wrong item. And then...crickets. Not even the courtesy of a response. So we tried calling. No one answered. A week later we called again and left a voicemail. Seven days after the wrong item arrived, they finally get back to us and despite this clearly being their mistake, they don't have the capacity to offer even an insincere apology. They want to inconvenience us with a special trip to the post office to return the bottle of cutting board oil so that someday we might hope to receive the product we paid for. Customers should not have to jump through hoops, waste this much time and work so hard to make a simple purchase. How hard is it to fulfill a ONE ITEM order? Apparently for Real Milk Paint it is not only difficult to fulfill an order, but it is also difficult to respond to their customers in a timely manner and to solve the issue with the least amount of inconvenience to the customer as possible. So now they can deal with a charge back and a permanent loss of business from our household. Disappointing.

Your website had all the information I needed to make a decision that tung oil is the product I wanted. It was easy to understand. When I purchased the product the estimate was one week to receive, and I got it in 4 days. Outstanding! I also enjoyed the email from the owner of the company. That was a nice touch. I plan on using it today for my projects. Thank you for being there. I could not find pure tung oil anywhere in my area.

I have never used oil to finish wood. I am very thankful to the folks at Real Milk for taking the time ice the office to educate me on how to accomplish this project. It means a lot when people take the time to help and educate a customer and with kindness at that, especially in these times that we live in. I am now a fan and lifelong customer of RMP.

I bought some new shades of the milk paint. Mixing it is something of a learning curve. So I got some of the defoaming liquid. The instructions are pretty non specific. 2-4 drops per pint? I rarely make a pint of the paint. An eyedropper should be included.

I've been using RMP's Pure Tung oil for an outdoor bench for several years. I've renewed the finish several times. I ran out of the Tung oil so it was time to order more. In reviewing RMP's web site I noticed the Outdoor Defense Oil. The bench is under cover but exposed to the elements. I sent a message to RMP asking if that would be a better finish. I never received a response. That dropped my rating here by a star. However, there was enough information on the website that I decided to go with the Outdoor oil. It just arrived today so I haven't used it yet. The follow up after placing my order and the tracking information were excellent so I rated the experience 4 stars.

The owners of this company should be ashamed of themselves. After going through the unimaginable, my bestfriend came to care for her younger siblings at a very young age. They lived in a property which was managed by this company and had many problems due to the lack of care and service. After moving out of the property, my bestfriend mistakenly sent them some money and when she politely requested it to be sent back they refused and claimed that she owed them this money along with extra fees. It has been 3 whole years since they had moved out of the property and they had not received an invoice to state there was an outstanding amount owed during this time. Yet when the money was sent accidentally, this is when Melissa and Aaron took it upon themselves to claim that the money was owed. The lack of customer service is appalling as an invoice was never sent in the first place and even when she has requested for one to prove that she owed the money, it still hasn’t been sent. You would think that any decent human being would have compassion given that they knew exactly what my bestfriend and her siblings were going through at the time having to deal with PTSD and grieving their dear mother. Melissa and Aaron showed otherwise and took advantage for their own financial gain once again, showing their true character, selfishness, greed and inconsiderate.

Used this company for the Richard Burbidge fusion stair parts. There was a back order on the handrail, this was country wide, every thing was explained and choices as to whether they proceeded. Good company to deal with placed an order for a banister on Sunday night it arrived first thing Tuesday morning the only complaint was that the banister was coming out of both ends of the box. It could have done with more tape on the ends to secure the contents. I would definitely use them again

I bought a NEO1R headtorch that unfortunately had issues from arrival. The solitary button was sometimes unresponsive- staying on / off. Hanging when changing function. I was offered a replacement/ refund. I accepted a replacement as i was otherwise happy with the torch, and they just refunded me, then ignored my messages and finally deleted my negative feedback.

Contacted Protec for a quote for a new energy efficient boiler and for the full removal of micro-bore pipework to install new 15mm copper pipework, firstly I had to call them twice to get them to survey in-order to provide a quote , secondly it has been 9 days since they surveyed and still waiting on their quote. Not good customer service . ( Thanks for your reply and sorry to hear of family issues however I don’t chase to give companies work and a simple text to customers to advise of the situation is all that is required ) PS I still don’t have your quote and don’t need it now!

The guys came to the rescue a few days ago when my boiler was condemned, came to my house not long after making the phonecall and they gave us different options, different types of boilers and discussed with us what we were looking to get out of our heating system. We picked our boiler and it was fitted today, their knowledge is great, their work was very neat and professional. Would recommend them highly.

Shocking company as previous people have stated regarding storm damage to roof. They have under estimated the amount of damage. This company is rude, speaking down to customer and also have no empathy to a 78 Yr old woman. Please please don't use this company or if your insurance that you are with say they are sending them please refuse as they are a disgrace

Looking at other people's reviews on here it seems we are in the same position. We got in touch with LV insurance after damage to our roof during the storm last month. We were assured a contractor would come out to survey the damage and they would be from HRNL. Iain came out and did exactly what another poster has said on here. He used a camera on a stick to look at the damage and then came to the conclusion that it would be around £1450 to repair. Considering scaffolding would be needed this seemed really low. He also said that it could be a "couple of months, maybe April" until the work was done. So over 3 months after the initial damage when water is getting into our roof space, that's just shocking! They've not even provided us with a written breakdown of what they found, estimated or were going to fix. We got a second opinion off a local roofing firm that we have used for the last 3 years on the odd slate that has come loose and they've quoted us £2800 for the work, £800 of which is for scaffolding alone. I got back in touch with LV and said this all to them and was told that someone would chase it up with HRNL and get back to me this morning. It's now past 2pm and I've not heard a thing. We are seriously considering getting the work done by the local roofer and sending LV the bill as nothing is moving anywhere. Communication is atrocious, we've not heard anything off HRNL since the 18th February, a full week ago. In short: 1) almost zero communication from them as to the work being done since the surveyor visited. 2) the surveyor only used a camera and didn't inspect the roof physically at all 3) the estimate for the work done is half of what a reputable roofer is quoting 4) no report at all from them detailing what work needs to be done, costs, time frames etc. Only the word on the doorstep from the 'surveyor'. **UPDATE: ISSUE NOW RESOLVED SATISFACTORILY WITH LV HRNL PENDING CASH SETTLEMENT FOR US TO GET THE WORK DONE BY A LOCAL ROOFER**

My husband and I are elderly and have never made an insurance claim before so needless to say we were very concerned but the process was made easy by the helpful; friendly and reassuring staff who were working under pressure due to the recent storm. We are delighted with their professionalism and may I add that I am not given to writing reviews!

It would appear our issues are similar to those trying to sort out a roof claim following the storms! As noted by others we have had little to no response from HRNL. We pay for a premium policy with Privilege and it appears an assessor with a camera on a stick that was at my property for approximately 25 mins and who had already made his mind up before entering my property supersedes official roofing reports from a specialist! My roof isn’t 7 years old but it’s wear and tear according to them. They took pictures after a temporary repair and weren’t interested in the report the roofer had supplied after a temporary fix! The amount of money they are offering for the internal damage is a joke and I’ll be lucky if that pays for the painting and flooring never mind all the plaster work and hole in the ceiling that needs sorting out. We’ve asked for a breakdown of how the finger in the air settlement was worked out and they can’t provide one. We just got a scope of works and m2 next to each item with no associated costs! Absolute joke. Like others check if your insurance company uses these people and if they do, refuse them dealing with it! We are 7 weeks into our claim and are no closer to a resolution.

Website give opening times of 10am to 2pm Saturday . Do not waste your time and petrol traveling to them as they are not open and do not answer telephone calls. It is not hard to update your website for opening times.

Avoid this company like the plague! Absolutely shocking service booked an annual Hot Tub cleaning service for the first time and 3 times they failed to show up and when they actually did turn up and provide the cleaning service it was shockingly poor, the guy said that it was the best he could do but it would look better eventually with a little more work (obviously he wasn’t prepared to do this) I then Had not heard from them until they rang to say the bill was overdue to which I replied I hadn’t received it, I asked if they had emailed me and was told yes but it keeps bouncing back, the accounts person was so rude and basically called me a liar, they told me that they wanted it paid there and then otherwise they would commence legal proceedings. I promptly paid which I would have done if I had received the bill despite the poor service. I would never use this company ever again!

I phoned to ask if they could order a replacement pool liner, that would need to be ordered via their wholesaler, who would in turn obtain it from the Canadian manufacturer of my pool. The response I received in their own words were "the senior engineer says they are too busy". Too busy to help a stressed disabled customer to obtain a replacement pool liner? Clearly I am not valuable enough to be your customer and if this is how you treat people then you are a company that should be avoided at all costs!

Installed the Pool pump and further guidance on the pool refurbishment. The guys were polite and courteous. Hopefully our go to Engineers for Pool issues in the future. (One star less because I could purchase the Pool pump from other retailer at a reduced price)

Just had our 25 yr old pool liner replaced by Merlin ( they fitted the original ). Excellent job done with no probs - they made it look easy with expert workmanship. When you deal with a company as experienced as Merlin you expect the best and you certainly get it. Thoroughly recommended.

Pool opening from Robin went well this year. Pool left sparkling and has remained clear and clean. Unfortunately, we are low on chlorine tablets as Robin was not carrying full tubs.

Travelled 3 hours to their office from Hertfordshire. After being interviewed by Rhys I was offered a mult trade position. Since then he has completely blanked all my calls . On looking at some of his reviews I think I’ve dodged a bullet. Completely unprofessional. If this is how he treat people then I wouldn’t trust this company to build a Wendy house let alone anything else . Avoid this lot like the plague if I were you.

Cowboy company, not fit for purpose. Had this company around to lay a vinyl wet room floor. They cut the vinyl where it shouldn't be cut. Absolutely destroyed my wet room! Please see my Google review of this cowboy company as it has pictures of there half done botch job!

They came out to assess what was wrong with the boiler and was advised that the boiler should be replaced. Although they answered the phone every time I called after the visit, they just took a message for someone to call back. I was left without a working boiler and I got another firm to install a boiler before they could get back to me to say they couldn't install a boiler for 3 weeks. Not what you needed just before the big freeze came

The work colleague who came to repair the hinges on my kitchen units was extremely well mannered, polite and super efficient. He was friendly and told me he came from South Africa. A very pleasant young man and the service was excellent. I cannot praise him and his company enough.

Friends had work carried out by Stride plumbing & heating ltd . They gave a competitive quote which was in line with other quotations I had obtained, very pleased with the result , as in most cases the odd problem was resolved with out any problem,The work was carried out as quoted for, Highly recommended Colin Sutton

Stride Plumbing recently stepped in to remediate some poor workmanship I had experienced from a builder. An entire shower unit had to be dismantled due to leaks and damp and rebuilt from scratch. The work is excellent and I found their communication to be very clear and responsive.

I needed my existing gravity-fed system replaced and boiler relocated as it gave me low pressure through out the house. I’m very pleased with the work carried out by Rhys, not only was the work done to the highest standard with minimal disruption, he was very professional and explained everything to us clearly as well as addressed any concerns we had. The work was exceptional and everything was clearly labelled from pipework to levers, making it easy to identify. All you want is a tradesperson to be honest and trustworthy and this is what we got from Stride Plumbling. At the end of each day, everything was cleaned up and left tidy. I would definitely use them again and would not hesitate to recommend Rhys and Stride Plumbing to anyone who needs their services.

We wanted to refurbish a toilet and used My Builder to circulate details of the work. Stride Plumbing and Heating responded and the experience has been faultless. Communication, from Emily, has been first rate throughout and the work carried out by Rhys was excellent. Although only a relatively small job (and experience has shown that many contractors are not interested in such work) he fitted us in around his existing schedule, gave advice on design options, was reliable and punctual and carried out the work to a very high standard. It was clear that he wanted us to be entirely happy with the work and we are delighted with the outcome. Highly recommended.

Just had my old boiler and hot water cylinder replaced with a Worcester Bosch combi boiler. The whole process from getting a quote to completion of the work was faultless. The quality of the work was second to none. Very neat and tidy. Communication throughout was good. I will certainly be recommending Stride Plumbing and Heating whenever I get the opportunity.

I moved home and had an issue with poor water pressure. Rhys solved the issue with out the need to re pipe the house. I now have a lovely new shower and taps with better pressure thank you!

Waardeloos bedrijf hebben ze meerdere keren achter de broek aan moeten zitten om eindelijk een warme pomp te plaatsen je raad het al komen ze niet opdagen op de dag van de afspraak. Speciaal voor vrij genomen het is dat we subsidie mis lopen als we nu naar een ander bedrijf gaan anders hadden ze hem mogen houden

Installatie verliep moeizaam tot laat in de avond bezig. Werkend opgeleverd met mankementen. Lekkende kleppen, onjuiste druk in cv installatie, niet alle radiatoren werden warm en amateuristisch afwerking. Na tweede bezoek sterkere circulatie pomp geplaatst, leek de oplossing maar helaas. Gebeld voor oplossing, ben nooit meer terug gebeld. Tenoval is verkopende partij en Thuisstroom de installatie partij. Totaal geen kennis van cv installaties, onjuiste adviezen. Bewust nu pas de review in de hoop een goede afloop. Alleen maar geld ontvangen en verder aan je lot overlaten.

Weer van wat ging er goed, helemaal niets. Advies is: koop niets en nooit bij Tenoval. Het is jammer dat ik geen foto kan bijvoegen om te laten zien hoe slecht Tenoval de installatie achterlaat.

Komt vriendelijk en professioneel over. Na de warmtepomp 3 maanden in gebruik te hebben blijkt het verbruik en kosten vele malen hoger dan hun berekening. Het is me niet duidelijk of de situatie verkeerd ingeschat is, de berekeningen niet kloppen of de Climalusion warmtepomp van NXT Monday niet presteert zoals verwacht. Update 19-02: Er is contact opgenomen met de intentie om het verbruik nauwkeuriger in beeld te brengen en te verlagen. De eerlijkheid gebiedt te zeggen dat ik over het hoofd heb gezien dat ik nu ook een hybride auto heb die stroom verbruikt. Ik kan niet direct inschatten hoeveel stroom de WP en de auto wordt gebruikt. Op basis van dit gesprek heb ik nu ook 1 ster gewijzigd in 3 sterren. Overigens is het welk comfortabel in huis. Wordt vervolgd.

We zijn in zee gegaan met Tenoval omdat ze in eerste instantie professioneel over kwamen. Besloten om een warmtepomp, airconditioning en zonnepanelen te plaatsen. Uiteindelijk zou de alles op 1 dag geplaatst worden. Week van te voren nog niks gehoord besloten om zelf maar te bellen. Alles zou goed komen, dag van de plaatsing kwam niemand opdagen. Gebeld en kwamen met excuses, hiervoor nog een dag vrijgenomen van werk. We hebben besloten om af te zien van deze firma.

Vervolg info: heel Tenoval laat niets meer van zich horen. Heb nu de leverancier van de Warmtepomp, Thuisstroom benaderd en die gaan de verdere installatie acties ondernemen. Weet waar je iets bij koopt en leg alles tot op de laatste punt/komma vast bij Tenoval want het zijn handelaren zonder een eigen installatie groep en huren die in en vandaar een giga tijd en schuiven alles door als ze maar orders/bestellingen hebben. Advies: niets bij kopen. Advies: koop in China en zorg in NL voor een installatie bedrijf voor het monteren, maar ook voor de subsidie met de ISDE.
