We brought a brand new unicorn in 2022…

We brought a brand new unicorn in 2022 and have had many warranty issues bits falling off and broken very poor quality. But the worst thing is we now have a crack in our caravan outside wall that is clearly caused by a brass fitting for the door latch that must have been added at the factory when new but Baileys are saying it’s not covered by there warranty, the cost to replace the wall is £10k. How can Bailey take no responsibility for this defect. Don’t ever buy a Baileys caravan!!!

Poor After Service

Based in Ireland and bought a used Bailey Caravan and wanted to order a few bits for it but turns out Bailey only service the United Kingdom, So Irish buyers beware you may want to reconsider purchasing a used Bailey, May get what I'm looking for through a third party website

Bailey Phoenix 420 door lock warranty issue

Having bought a Bailey Phoenix 420 brand new in July 2023, in July this year the main door lock barrel fell out while on a site in Norfolk, I contacted my local dealer on getting home who tried to put in a warranty claim for me,only to be told the lock barrel was not covered by the warranty even though in the warranty booklet it states they have comprehensive cover for parts and components. I am having to purchase a new barrel with a delivery of 4 weeks minimum plus a delivery charge, this means my caravan has a door which I am unable to lock until the end of august at the earliest, not the most secure of situations. Baileys do not seem to care or honour their warranty once you have made your purchase. I am now wondering what else will not be covered by this so called comprehensive warranty.

I brought a new Baileys Phoenix 644 but massive damp issues and poor service

I bought a new Baileys Phoenix 644 in Feb 22, all went well until it went in for the first service in Feb 23, the van had damp in the back of the caravan! it got repaired in November 23, 8 months later! couldn't be done before they said due to backlog! in early 2024 my wife and i decided to buy a static caravan and sell this van, the problem is when i went to sell the caravan 3 months after it had been repaired it had damp in the front! even though Baileys chipping sodbury had done a damp report 3 months earlier? so i took the van to be checked and the parts to be ordered by Baileys at chipping sodbury, at this time they said the quickest they can do the work was August! 6 months after it was reported, to make it worse baileys wouldn't book the van until the parts came in, the parts came in a few weeks later, so i booked the van in, when they told me the quickest they could do the work OCTOBER 14th. So i had to wait nearly 9 months! the reason they gave was they have a backlog with repairs of damp caravans! when i rung Baileys Head office they didn't help at all! the issue was with Baileys chipping sodbury, but they didn't care how long i was waiting for the repair to be done. So i have had the van stuck on my drive for 6 months, i decided to try and sell it at a reduced rate, as i need the money, i sold it but i have lost a fortune on it! ALL BECAUSE BAILEYS DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU! i never write any reviews, but i'm so angry about this that they can't get away with this. How can you buy a brand new van and get damp twice and have to wait so long for both repairs and you get treated like this? Also when i was cleaning the van recently i found out why it's got damp at the front, it's got NO SEALANT BY THE FRONT WINDOWS, AMAZING! how did nobody see this when it was made?

Changed to a Bailey

Just changed our old Swift caravan for a second hand, fairly new, Bailey Phoenix 644. Very pleased with the van and the transfer of warranty was quick and simple. Overall the Bailey experience, so far, has been excellent.

Here we go again my Bailey advance 640…

Here we go again my Bailey advance 640 has been in yet again for the same old repairs and problems this company sells nothing more than rubbish i had my moterhome new in 2019 and its been nothing but problems with it and its been in for repairs now from 19 march and is still in as we speak so i have lost 3 months or the summer yet again no one wants to take responsibility for this piece of rubbish that continental leisure sold to me from Bailey there has been about 50 folts and its been in for repairs more than i have used it we pay top money for our moterhomes and to be honest thy are rubbish not fit for purpose and Bailey has the worst customer service i have ever come across in my life and im 60yrs and had a lot of new cars and a few moterhomes thy dont give a dam about there customers there staff are not nice at all very rude and abrupt and really dont care because thy know thy can get away with it they must be paying trading standards because thy are as useless as a chocolate tea pot dont buy anything of this lot of plums i guarantee you will have a wold of pain with your 60 to 70 k cheep creap from China thats where all the parts are coming from to build all this rubbish that thy sell something needs to be done about this i have contacted my local mp to look in to there company and as you can see by there reviews there is clearly a problem im sick and tired of things going wrong all the time i have had countless holidays ruined i have called Bailey and thy are not interested 5 yrs of hell i have had with this moterhome and its still going on now i have lost 5 members of my family in this time also including my 23yr old sun who hung himself on jan 29 2024 and thy dont give a dam cold people who shouldn't be allowed to sell tents please please dont buy a Bailey moterhome or caravan of this lot of horrifying people anyone who has has similar experience with this company and it looks like there is a lot of you I'd love to know and we can take them on as a group and put a stop to this madness that people have to go though thy need to be stopped from selling there rubbish to people just so everyone knows i just had a email from trustpilot saying this writeup has been red flag because Bailey dont like people saying the truth about there appalling company and this just goes to show thy guilt everything im saying i can back up with paperwork that i have thy can not and will not get away with the way thy have treated my family and put us through and you only have to look at there appalling reviews on here it speaks a 1000 words thy have picked on the wrong customer this time and thy can try and block my reviews all thy like but it want stop me or the people who i am getting together to do a big protest out side there factory and i hope trustpilot does not removed this as what is the point of having it if you cant say what has really happened as i said i can back up all that im saying 100% so if you want to respond to this Bailey how about putting your customers first instead of running to trustpilot because you dont like what people say if you looked after your customer in the right way and built better quality moterhomes and caravans then your reviews wouldn't be so bad and you would have happy customers my i sir guest you get someone in who knows how to deal with your customers and make things right for them and respect them try that and you may just start getting nice reviews because in the end bad reviews will kill your business because everyone now looks at reviews and thy take them very seriously lets see what sort of response you can come up with that may just impress me ???

The 5 berth phoenix has been a great…

The 5 berth phoenix has been a great starter caravan for the five of us. It has everything you possibly need and gives a great nights sleep! Storage is great and everyone has somewhere to put their belongings. Looking forward to many more years of adventure.

Shame on you Bailey

I have been a Bailey caravan owner for the best part of 25 years always bought 2nd hand. Im at an age now I can buy brand new which was an Alicanto Grande 1 which I had for 2 years but have since downsized and I ordered a brand new Bailey gt75 420. Waited 6 months and had the Bailey upgrade and bells and whistles fitted. On day 1 of our Easter break the sun was shining on the back kitchen panel which highlighted a manufacturing ripple which was only visible at eye level whilst sitting and was not noticeable when it was really dull at the dealer. Highlighted to dealer straight away and drove there straight from our holidays for them to take a look at it. They agreed with us that it was a manufacturing fault and would contact Bailey for a return to dealer fix under the warranty. Well what can I say other than Bailey rejected the claim and blamed us for causing the ripple. Having read the reviews on this platform it’s all about the warranty which is not worth the paper it is written on and the lack of responsibility when you need Bailey most. My Midlands based dealer were brilliant. They unwind our deal and put us into a brand new Swift same size and a lot more. I have lost some money but it was worth it. Shame on you Nick Howard Managing Director for churning out a defective caravan and then blaming your customer. After all the loyal years my faith in Bailey went straight down the toilet. However all was not lost Having not seriously looked at others makes you have done me a favour as the Swift caravan is a far better quality caravan in terms of finish and quality and cheaper. I will never buy or recommend Bailey to anyone again. I would also advise you if you are reading these reviews to seriously look at Swift caravans before buying a Bailey as there is no aftercare. You can see the picture for yourselves in my profile picture. I really am disgusted.

Transfer with no problems of our Bailey…

Transfer with no problems of our Bailey caravan which is 1 year old second owner us. These alutech caravans are light and we have had a smaller orion for several years which has gone on to a second new home built in 2011. We are just getting a bit old and tired to make a bed up every night. Fixtures and fittings are great in our new phoenix plus 440 too. Obviously it's a caravan not oak furniture so you have to be a little bit careful but most things can be replaced. This is a perfect hobby for our retirement... and if you are getting one.... buy British!
