Called to get help and never heard back. A few days later I started getting emails from this company called Keepe saying the appointment was cancelled by AWR. This happened several times and when I contacted AWR again they told me to call the number myself to make an appointment. When I tried to cancel my subscription with them they kept me for 20 minutes before they finally cancelled. These guys a nothing but a SCAM

I only give one star because it's the only way I can write my experience ok first I set up the appointment they say they use a plumbing company called Keepe up so I waited for them to call, it took 3 days so I called them to find out what the problem was and they said they have a lot of people ahead of me ok so I'm still waiting and I get a text saying my appointment was canceled and I should call to see what the problem was so I did and they first asked me if I wanted to get in home coverage for a small fee in which I answered no unless the present problem is handled so they set me up another appointment with urgency and again it was canceled out the same way before so by this time my plumbing is backing up and I had no choice but to call a real plumber to diagnose the problem and start a real fix. Bottom line this company is only out to get your account to pay them money with no results or intention of fixing the problem and this should be outlawed, or they should be tracked down and repay everyone who spent money with hopes of getting a fair deal. Received a card in the mail from AWR. Once I read the small print stating "if your initial payment is by check you are authorizing AWR to use the bank information on your check to setup and initiate recurring electronic transfer payments". This is definitely a NO-NO for me. I rarely let anyone pull funds from my account - I send payments to my suppliers. Also, in my opinion, if a company is willing to charge a very minimal monthly fee ($3 - $4) to provide protection for services lines (which can be very costly), this is a red flag to me. I understand there may be those who have very old homes and cannot get homeowners insurance, but getting protection from a company like AWR is just throwing money away. Unfortunately, we live in a world of some dishonest, wicked people who do not have a conscience. They just want the money. PLEASE BE AWARE and do your research before signing up with any company that sends you marketing information or contacts you in any way.

Water leaking in my house
Water leaking in my house, I have inside/outside coverage. Three different appointments scheduled since 6/26, all were no call/no show. Talk to customer service several times and still no repair. They say they don't have techs in my area (MS). Then why are they selling the plan in MS???? They say I can pay and they will reimburse me. Told them heck no....SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM. Who can we contact to report this and get something done about a fraudulent company???? How can they be allowed to continue doing business?

Bad warranty coverage
Sent in a warranty request in October 2023, was told they didn’t have any electrical vendors in Colorado. They said to hire a contractor and they would reimburse me. Received a few estimates and went with lowest cost to replace circuit breakers. They said to email the receipt and I would be reimbursed. I’ve already sent emails 4 times with paperwork they requested. Eac time they say it takes 6 to 8 weeks for reimbursement. It is now July 2024 and have not received any reimbursement from them. Been told it was approved, call back and they say it’s been declined. I pay for a warranty that covers all electrical repairs. Don’t buy warranty from this company. 8 months and still not a single call from them, I have to keep calling them. Have other coverage also for water but sure it’s as losey as electrical coverage. I’m going to keep calling until they respond and reimburse me.

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH American Water Resources nothing but scam. All I did was get the run around when I filed a claim. Over 24 hours and there still was not "a contractor available" Each person I spoke with or live chatted with told a different story. They took my payment for appointment right away, but gave me no help at all. So now we will see if I get my appt refund and if they actually cancelled my account like I asked.

"Tank jew far culling AAA EM RR...." Sorry. But the best scams come from India. Sad.... I then came here and my fears are confirmed.

To MaryBeth, With no disrespect to you whatsoever. Have you read the other reviews where people are not getting their waterlines or any kind of protection handle that they signed up for? This company actually took it upon themselves to enroll me in a program altering my check that I mailed them. Caused me all kinds of Hardship trying to close my checking account to stop further fraud from American water, resources of Ohio! If a problem arises with you will not get a contractor out there to fix the issue in your house or outside of your house whatever it is you bought from this company. Cancel it while you can. They are only scamming you and getting payments from you that you will never get any work from.!

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I tried to close service, I was placed on hold and no one returned. This happened twice. When I finally spoke to someone she was very difficult and acted like I was not able to close the account and asking a lot of personal questions. She finally said she would end service but didn’t do it and another payment has been taken out of my checking account. I am still trying to cancel the service.
