Disappointing pick up from Albert Hall

The hotel was comfortable and clean and breakfast was very good . Our biggest disappointment was our pickup from the Royal Albert Hall - it was 23.45 when we were eventually picked up - it was a very cold night

Disappointing trip

I have always used National Holidays for my little breaks which I have enjoyed and recommended. This trip unfortunately was not up to it's usual high standards. Firstly, the good points. The pick- up and drop off points for the show I went to see was spot on. The coach was clean, driver and coach host were friendly (but in some respects were not particularly helpful). The hotel was clean and ok for our 1 night stay. The not so good points. Communication was a massive issue. We got to the hotel around 3:30 and after a near 6 hrs travel, we wanted to freshen to go to our shows but only a few rooms were ready, so we had to freshen and change in the public bathrooms. We were to be back onboard the coach at 4pm, but the manager declared that there is a contract in place where rooms are available at 4pm. So communication issues there. There was quite a queue for breakfast due to full capacity of the hotel it seems - but could have been better managed by the hotel. I'm overweight and was travelling on my own. My seat was next to another overweight lady, so I was quite uncomfortable. I asked the coach host if I could use one of his 2 seats ( bearing in mind that he was mostly on his feet chatting with passengers) but he flatly refused. Of course I was not happy.

3 hrs Pick Up Journey Before Main Journey - Harry Potter n Trip

Booked Harry Potter tour for a Xmas gift to my 8 year old daughter. The coach pick up times are not advertised at time of booking and not released until a couple of weeks beforehand (when it's too late to cancel or obtain a refund!). So, we had to be at coach station at Bolton at 5:15am and then still doing pick ups across Manchester and 8:30am. 3 hrs where stations and toilets are closed as it's early. First toilet stop at Knutsford services at 9:30am. We had 3 hrs in London before the hotel and we had 3 hrs in Harry Potter Studios. The journey back was the same. 3 hrs driving round Manchester doing drops offs. The coach driver was a really nice, polite, friendly guy and the Hilton Watford was average but clean. In summary, I won't book another coach journey with a child. If the advert advised a 3 hrs time frame sat on a coach before starting on the main journey. I wouldn't have booked it. Too late to complain as refunds not provided so they have your money either way. Very disappointed that I wasn't provided an option just a straight no.

We were on the coach far too long

We were on the coach far too long. Too many pick up points. The hotel wasn't great. Kettle was broken amd the sink blocked and reception never picked up the phone. I have emailed to complain but so far have had no reply. Shame because we have used National Holidays before and they were excellent . Hi Monica, thanks for your reply saying you have no record of my complaint. I have resent it twice??

Fantastic experience

Booked a three day break to Glasgow and Edinburgh at the start of December. Had a fantastic time, the coach driver was brilliant, the hotel was amazing and it was great to visit somewhere new. Would definitely recommend national holidays.

The trip would have been fantastic had…

The trip would have been fantastic had it not been for some unfortunate timings for the first day. We were told we would be dropped off at the hotel first to freshen up but due to traffic we only had half an hour which really wasn’t worth it and it had the knock on effect of us not having time to eat before the evening theatre performance. I feel that too many pick ups took place prior to travel to London which caused lots of delays and arrival in London right on tea time traffic.
