Pete was a great driver.

The places given to us for our meals by the maitre d' at Warner Hotel Brunton Hall were a disgrace and too close together. He would not allow us to change places to the nicer part of the canteen. I don't know if National Holidays pay less for the hotel accommodation than private travellers but we were certainly treat like 2nd class guests here. Pete was a bit of a stickler for people arriving at the bus late after the stops but that made sure that the rest of us weren't waiting for stragglers. The trip to Thursford, and Thursford itself was excellent as was the trip to Norwich the following day.

German Christmas Markets

Overall good value for money however, the fact that it took 23 hours on a coach to arrive in Germany was far too long and I wonder if that’s why the intone lacked any timings. The hotel was very dated, for some odd reason, we had a large window from the bedroom into the bathroom which we had to cover up for privacy reasons. The trip to Baccarat market was a total disaster, absolutely nothing open. Thankfully Boppard and Koblenz were good. Best market of all was on our doorstep where we stayed in rudesheim. Breakfast was a typical continental which was ok. The trip home was preying on our mind as it is just far too long for us. Enjoyed the markets but found the travel too much sadly.

The weekend was good overall

The weekend was good overall We have never picked up in St Helens, Warrington or Kidsgrove before when on a break to London This added at least an hour to the travelling time and an hour's extra driving time for our driver The Sheraton whilst a good choice hotel was too far out of London. This made the Saturday an extremely long day

Some improvements needed.

The driver of the feeder bus from Scarborough to Weatherby was driving far too close to the car in front and had it breaked there would have been an accident. The driver was on her phone whilst driving and had a drink so one hand on the wheel! Main bus driver was good but the bus parked no where near the Xmas markets in Manchester and down a back street that was difficult to locate. It was a long walk to the markets which were incidentally rubbish. The hotel was the Holiday Inn Express in Manchester airport, the hotel was lovely, very comfortable and a nice breakfast. The main coach driver was good. The journey back from Manchester to Weatherby was a nightmare due to all the drunk and rowdy passenger from the North East.
