Went on a mystery 2 day trip and some of it felt very rushed. The hotel bedroom was filthy and the food wasn't very nice. The coach driver let my case fall off the coach and now it is scratched and I have only used it once.

What it said on the tin

Food at hotel was only lukewarm at breakfast and dinner and not much choice. Rooms were cold as heating didn’t appear to be working. Hotel itself was nicely decorating and not enough bar staff working. One night only 1 working in the bar and queue was long.

It was basic with the dining room looking like a canteen. Others also remarked that the coach was not very comfortable for the long journey from Cornwall.

Another wonderful trip we had with National Holidays . The coach and driver, Hotel and staff and excursions all excellent. Splendid value for money and a good opportunity to "switch off ", and take in the moment.

This two day break offered visits to The Black Country Living Museum and The National Memorial Arboretum. Both places were interesting and well worth visiting. The hotel was comfortable, but a late, rather unappetising evening meal was a bit of a let down. My biggest concern was the change of my pickup point to Knutsford Services instead of Altrincham. Not having my own transport, and no public transport to the Services, a round trip by taxi would have cost in excess of £60! I was fortunate to be offered a lift this time, although this was quite inconvenient to those concerned. This has rather put me off booking any more trips in case the same thing happens again.
