
Work agreed but did not pitch up
I gave them 2 stars because the guy did pitch up to give me a quote. We agreed on the price and that he would start work the following week. Well... he never pitched up. When I text to ask if he was coming to do the job, he did not respond. Very disappointing. Considering there is only 1 other review on this trader makes me sceptical if it's them commenting on their own company. In the end I used an alternate trader.

Fairness and quality, not one bad word
Fairness and honesty do not even need to be mentioned, because where this company stands above the rest is how they always put their customer first – from the initial scoping and transparent costing to the professional and considerate attitude and the superb quality of their delivery. If you are lucky enough to secure their services, it also pays to listen to their advice which will save you unnecessary costs in the long term. I have no hesitation in recommending these lads to others.

I needed this part for a downed machine so your delayed affected me. Tried reaching out via shopify chat, but no replay. Missing half of my parts still...after…
Missing half of my parts still...after months. I was told they shipped in another box simultaneously as the other three. A lady told me they were on backorder but just came in on Monday and she was shipping them out next day air so that we would have them yesterday(weeks ago). That never happened. I was told me they were shipping yesterday(week ago). The website still shows plenty of stock. When will we actually have this, and do you have tracking? This is holding up a job from being done and is very frustrating trying to explain why I don’t have these to my customer.

Very slow to ship. No shipping confirmation, only a "rate your experience" email. Had to call and ask when it would be shipping and she gave me the long tracking number over the phone. Some of the letters were mis interpreted so I had nothing.

Ordered a motor on dec 12 to have it delivered the next day and did not receive it until January 6. Could never reach anyone on the phone or/and no one answered email. I will never use this company again.

Terrible Customer Service and Lead Times
I paid for overnight shipping, and this order didn't ship for 4 business days. Multiple calls and emails were not returned. You have to download an app just to get updates on your order, which is complete nonsense. I had no heat for a week because they couldn't ship a small parcel in a timely fashion, despite the fact the site says orders ship within one business day. I don't understand how they have positive reviews, unless of course the company is paying employees to write them.

Deres kundeservice er elendig! Vi kontaktede dem fordi 2 af deres ældre vinduer ikke kunne lukkes. De sendte 3 forskellige reservedele, der skulle bruges men som ikke passede. Først efter flere uger, hvor det i øvrigt var meget svært at få fat i dem, kunne de oplyse at den type/model ikke længere laves og at de derfor heller ikke kunne skaffe reservedelene til dem! Ved et tilfælde kom det deres mand i marken for øre( ting rygtes jo i et lille lokalsamfund!). Han kontaktede straks mig og kørte op og fiksede det og leverede en fantastisk service, men ham henviste Hvidbjergvinduet.dk aldrig til! Havde vi fået af vide fra starten af at han kunne lave det og havde de henvist til deres servicemand fra start, som der står i hans kontrakt at de skal, ja så havde vi undgået mange måneders spekulationer og arbejde med at sende reservedele tilbage og sende mails til Hvidbjergvinduet.dk, der sjældent blev svaret på, ligesom vi havde undgået at få diverse tømrer til at forsøge at fikse det! Jeg kontaktede efterfølgende Hvidbjergvinduet.dk for at spørge dem om, hvorfor de ikke bare fra start havde henvist til deres servicemand og talte med en Jesper. Han kendte intet til dette sagde han og afbrød bare opkaldet! Virkelig dårlig stil og ikke noget vi overhovedet forstår, at han vil lægge navn til, for sådan et firma med så dårlig og SÅ grov en opførsel vil man jo ALDRIG anvende igen og slet ikke anbefale til andre.

Hvidbjergvinduet laver vinduer og døre i en usædvanlig høj kvalitet. Jeg har købt træ/alu over flere gange og er super tilfreds med elementerne. Som det eneste firma i DK kan man få den indvendige side med ludbehandlet og lakeret overflade. Det passer godt til vores hus fra 1773.

Kan SLET IKKE anbefales. Købte 27 stk sprossede vinduer hos dem for ca 3 år siden. De er ridset og den sorte fuge der er lagt imellem ruderne.. er bulet så meget frem, at den flere steder sidder på ruderne. Har haft dem ud (inde for det sidste år) og kigge på det og de vil INTET gøre! Er ked af jeg ikke kan dele billeder her på siden, så folk kan se hvordan det ser ud. Mit bedste råd er i ikke handler med Hvidbjerg vinduer.

Super kundeservice
Jeg har købt vinduer & dører af flere omgange hos Hvidbjergvinduet og har kun godt at sige om deres produkter. Godt er der også kun at sige om deres Aftersales Service. Jeg har i forbindelse med et foreståede farveskifte af mine træ/alu vinduer, som er adskillige år gammel, netop været i forbindelse med deres service afdeling hvor jeg fik lynhurtig og meget kompetent råd & vejledning. Tak for hjælpen Mads Andersen!

Fik nye vinduer sat i forsommer Da de var sat i kunne vi se at alle håndtag til lukkemekanismen, sad MEGET ulig hinanden Tømren målte ulighed på cm som er meget tydelig at se når håndtag sidder op og ned af hinanden Hvisbjergs konsulent kom ud Var UTROLIG flabet Sagde bl.a. at selvom det var nye vinduer så kunne jeg ikke forvente det var som nyt Og at jeg måtte affinde mig med skævheden Holdt fast i at det ville jeg ikke finde mig i Han åbnede derefter alle venstre siderne Tog skruer ud og monterede dem derefter meget skævt i. Rettede på hængslerne i selve ramme. Pg gik med et “ så må det være nok”! Resultatet blev at rammerne i venstre side er totalt skæve Flere steder er listerne revet helt i stykker og vi kan se ud i revnen Hvidbjerg har i efteråret sendt en yderst venlig konsulent ud igen Han bekræftede at vinduerne var ødelagte af den behandling de havde fået Ligeledes konstaterede han at der VAR fejl på alle vinduerne Og at de skulle skiftes Vi sidder nu og kigger på alle de skæve vinduer Tømrermesteren har haft fat i Hvidbjerg mange gang og rykket Sidste melding var at man grundet nye maskiner, ikke var nået til mig. (Mon der er andre end mine som var behæftet med fejl og derfor nye maskiner ?) Worst customer service experience & very unprofessional
I recently had a disappointing experience with General Hardware Supplies Ltd Homevalue. I encountered two main issues: • Incorrect Order: I received the wrong order, and it’s been unclear how to resolve this. It would be helpful if there was more information on how the incorrect items can be collected or how the issue will be addressed. • Unprofessional Phone Call: Last evening at 6:26 pm, both my mother and I received a call from an employee regarding the order. The tone of the conversation from the employee was aggressive, and the overall conduct of the employee was unprofessional. The employee mentioned she was the business owner, which I found hard to believe due to the way the call was handled (she gave false misleading information) It was surprising, considering the level of professionalism I expect from a company. My mother has a learning disability & i let the woman know this over the phone before handing the phone to my mother. The lady began to raise her voice even more so whilst on the phone to my mother. My mother’s mental health has deteriorated overnight due to the interaction with the employee. I hope these concerns are addressed soon, as I am still waiting for a resolution to both the order issue and the unprofessional phone interaction

I have always had a very positive experience dealing with General Hardware, Newcastle West, Co. Limerick. Both in person and over the phone. The Staff are friendly and professional. They are always on hand to assist and provide good advise.I live in an older house, which has needed a lot of work, I have dealt with General Hardware regarding insulation and flooring my attic,fitting a stira, stove parts and care,painting,fitting doors and handles,lighting, garden seating and outdoor products, bathroom renovations, and much more. They have always provided high quality products and materials,with a very good price point. Plenty space for parking. Overall, I would highly rate General Hardware Newcastle West.

Extremely poor customer service …
I’ve dealt with this company before and it’s been an exemplary service. Obviously there’s been a reshuffle in staff as when I called today it’s as if my money wasn’t good enough. The person was rude and abrupt and put the phone down on me. Definitely be taking my custom elsewhere. Sad as this company used to be really good.

I bought a techtron Elite 3500 scooter last year for my son. Recently he noticed he had damaged the back mud guard. I got in touch with the company and they were brilliant. They arranged the repair all at a very good price. Highly recommended

Great product, polypropylene bags exactly as described. Next day delivery was particularly handy as I needed them urgently. They were super easy to contact, especially when I called for an estimated time of arrival on my delivery. Would 100% recommend and use again!

Poor product, poor service
If only I'd read this review before ordering with them. No contact regarding the delivery date, despite requesting this BEFORE I ordered. No confirmation email (apparently their emails were down). Ordered for work, so I wasn't aware they'd been delivered. I had to contact our customers to find out if delivery had been made. By the time I attended to distribute sandbags & realised the hessian sacks were poor quality, large holes, sand/dust was pouring out and these were not fit for purpose, it was beyond the 14days refund policy. However, it doesn't matter as hessian bags are exempt from refund policy anyway! And were you aware that hessian sandbags are only expected to last 4-6 weeks??? No, neither was I, but according to UKSandbags, this is their lifespan. Avoid & use a more professional company that provide better service.

Charged twice for delivery
Not recommended. I ordered 140 sandbags from UK Sandbags and was charged for two lots of delivery totaling £64.00. Since only one delivery was made I should have only been charged once however repeated requests for a refund have fallen on completely deaf ears - they couldn't even be bothered to respond. On top of this the sandbags delivered were of poor quality with quite a few already split upon delivery. So I would recommend going elsewhere if you require sandbags in bulk

Ordered a single length of brass tile…
Ordered a single length of brass tile trim. I had been concerned about it getting bent during transit which would not have been good. It was packaged brilliantly inside a thick cardboard tube. The tube had been slightly bent but but when I opened it I found the tube contained a second thick cardboard tube and to my relief this had kept the trim in perfect condition. Fantastic and would definitely use again.

Avoid!
Paid for express next day delivery at £14.00,NO SHOW! Promised a callback, NO CALL! I was informed by Premier tile trim, that the Delivery driver was given the wrong postcode! I lose a days trading thanks to this `Company` and the telephone manner of a couple of the staff was like moody and sullen teenagers. AVOID!!

Save yourself a fortune
Save yourself a fortune and buy your tile trims from these guys. They had exactly what I was after and the online ordering and processing was painless. Delivery needed to be quick for a job I was doing and it arrived when I needed it using express delivery. I was worried about the 3m trims getting bent or damaged in transit but everything was fine, the trims arrived with a protective film on each trim (I bought 5), they were packed into a well secured cardboard tube which was reinforced with a timber batten to prevent it from being bent. For the same product at the usual major DIY retailers was silly prices, can’t understand how they can justify the mark-up. I’ll be a returning customer to theses guys.

I ordered 1 colour, they sent 3 different colours
I ordered a Genesis polished brass tile trim and noticed that in the pack there were two completely different shades (one was very dark brass, the other almost silver). I contacted customer service who promptly sent out a replacement, only to find the replacement was a different shade again to the first two!! So that's one product from the same brand, same product number etc.. three completely different shades. There seems to be a lack of quality control at Premium Tile Trim.. I contacted customer service again who said they were 'investigating' it. In the meantime, my plumber is desperate to get on with the work so I had to end up using the trim I had which has effectively ruined my bathroom because it is all over the place now with three different trim colours. After almost a month of no reply from the Premium Tile Trim customer service team I decided to chase them up only to be met with 'there's nothing we can do' and to try a different product.. 2 stars for sending out a replacement but the rest of the service was pitiful and I am really upset with how things turned out.

Requested and paid for next-day…
Requested and paid for next-day delivery. So it should have arrived on the Wednesday. We did not receive the item. The tracking now says that the item was delivered on Thursday. It was not delivered on Thursday, so this is plainly untrue. It is now Friday and we still don't have it. The fitter is to come on Monday because we didn't make the first deadline, so I have sent an email requesting the item to be correctly delivered and the delivery refunded, which is the minimum I would expect under the circumstances. I will update this review accordingly. Following the below, I can confirm that the delivery has still not been received, there has been no update from Ryan as to when it will be received and I have had to cancel the fitting today at my own expense.

Really poor customer service.
Really poor customer service. I only ordered 3 x different trim samples so we could choose the best for our en suite which was due to be fitted out in a couple of weeks time. Website claims trims sent out same day. First had a text to say one of the trims was coming from a separate supplier and would be delayed - but would be sent separately so as not to delay the other two. Not a problem - good to know. The 'delayed' trim then turned up a couple of days later. The other two have not been delivered at all. My wife has chased up 'Premium Tile Trim' on at least two occasions but to no avail. Today they said the trims must have got lost in the post so they could send out some more. My wife asked what delivery service was used..'Royal Mail....probably second class' was the response (you don't even know how the samples are sent - really?!), then she asked if we could have some kind of expedited delivery. 'No' was the response. Cancelled the order and won't be buying from them. Originally had plenty of time to get trims, choose one and then order, now having to rush around.Very poor and I suspect the trims were never even sent out to start with.

I have been using Azpects products for a few years now. I'm a landscaper and use the products for pointing and cleaning. But most of all it's the support I receive from Tom. Nothing is too much trouble, and help is only a message away. Great product, great support.

Easy point pro
I run a construction Company and wanted to switch to a polymer resin pointing for the best results for my clients. I got in touch with Tom Pearson from Azpects and his knowledge of all the products is outstanding, he volunteered to come down and point the patio with me in order to use the product efficiently and get the best results,I was very grateful and the Easy Point Pro is as good as it sounds, I was really impressed with it. He had pre warned me to seal the patio prior to us pointing with this product, you could instantly see the water beading off it when we pre wet the slabs and the material moved around very easily and cleaned of beautifully. Over all the products worked as they state and I look forward to supplying my customers with installation and aftercare packages now I have a greater knowledge of the Azpects range thanks to Tom.

This is the worst stuff put on market…
This is the worst stuff put on market ever! After 6 months of installation most of the tiles are moving because this stuff is not waterproof or frost proof. It cost me a lot of time and money to fix all issues. Please do not use it ever.

EASY....not!
Azpects EasyJoint DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT! I used the palest colour but within a year it was turning black with algae which is almost impossible to remove due to the nature of the EasyJoint. After 2 years it was completely disintegrating. I had no other choice but to remove it all..it came out like wet sand..and it gets everywhere! HORRID HORRID HORRID! It has taken months to remove it from the whole terrace along with a lot of jet washing, sweeping, scraping! Now have to pay someone (again) to put in sensible sand and cement. Parkers Builders Merchant have even stopped selling it based on poor quality!

Very disappointed with this company
Very disappointed with this company. I had about 40 easygrid panels break (I think it is down to poor quality but didn't even argue the toss with them as presumed they would say it was down to the sub base) and asked if I could buy some replacements. They got me to call around local stockists which is fine but 2-3 hours later and 25+ calls later, every stockist told me I had to buy 225 minimum. I find this ironic that a company that act environmentally friendly stating their products are recyclable, are happy to get someone to throw 175 panels away in land fill. Tried to contact manager but was promised a call back but never came.

The Dunswell joint
I was a bit unsure after watching the videos but was too late already bought it. I made sure that all the open joints would run clear when soaked with water prior to pouring the contents on the natural stone,and no I didnt seal them. It seemed a bit strange keeping everything wet whilst easing into the joints with a big squeegee,bought from b&m £2.50. All was good,quite impressed and would you believe it the rain came down five hours after completing so it helped was the area over. It took about 48 hours before it was hard to the touch but I am impressed and glad I used it.

All good until issues start arising
Initial installation went well. Support after though when things started to go wrong afterwards awful. Pipe started leaking the day after installation, we were not made aware at the time that this could be a consequence of old pipes with a new combi. Very dismissive in communication back, had to fix issue ourselves . Secondly now the filter has started leaking and boiler losing pressure, not even managed a year without an issue with the actual installation he was responsible for. My partner has been in contact and he has offered to come and quote us to fix something that I believe should be rectified free of charge.

Dismissive and no after care!
Andy and his team installed a new boiler at our property. Installation went well. However having the morning after, waking upto leaking pipes and letting Andy know, this was dismissed and said it was not their fault... its never leaked before... a few months on and we have a leak from the boiler itself.. contacted Andy to let him know, response was they will charge me to replace a seal.... not good enough! You fitted the boiler so you should be fixing your issues!! No after care has been given and yet to still have our warranty in which Andy said he would register it for us!

Highly Professional and Very Skilled with Proper Customer Service
I booked a boiler service with Craig, and he and Andy arrived on time as agreed. My boiler has not been that reliable since installation, and rather than call in the original supplier I wanted an in-depth service and health check. Long story short - The service could not be completed as the original installation had not be done to the proper specifications. This resulted in replacing pipework, re-routing other pipes, a system flush etc, etc. I am now taking this up with the company that did the incorrect install. What Craig and Andy did was to be totally professional and very honest in ensuring that I had a safe and properly operating boiler; so refreshing to have this level of service with a genuine concern to do their very best for the customer. I cannot recommend them highly enough, simply outstanding! Thank you

Fantastic good old customer service.
I have used Surefire Eco now three times since getting to know them. First of all for a toilet at work then for taking out some old gas heaters at work. Andy from Surefire has also helped us with a job at home as well. The level of service every time has been fantastic. Andy came each time and arrived when he said he would. The work he did was excellent and at what I believe was a very good price. Our boiler stopped working on Sunday…
Our boiler stopped working on Sunday morning, leaving us in the cold. We were given the contact details of Surefire Eco by a family member. After a short conversation with Andy, knowing just how stuck we were, he made a special effort to arrange his other jobs so he could come to see us first thing Monday morning. After an inspection, it became obvious that our old boiler needed replacing. Now here is the good thing. By Wednesday, Andy and Craig were with us installing a new boiler along with some other jobs that we asked them to do as well. The job went really well without too much disruption or mess. We were so pleased with the professional way in which everything was done. Nothing was too much trouble for Andy and Craig and we are highly delighted with our new boiler and system. We were amazed at the speed at which everything took place and we would not hesitate to recommend Surefire Eco to anyone who wants a speedy professional job doing at a very reasonable price. Thank you so much for everything.

Took full deposit for construction work…
Took full deposit for construction work but did not do any work Different Touch was engaged for a partial demolition and partial construction renovation in a residential flat. The main tasks were kitchen and bathroom replacement. The contract was to be completed within 6 weeks. I was not in London during the period of work. After 8 weeks, the demolition had been 80% completed, although much of the rubble was not removed from the flat. At the threat of not continuing with any work, Different Touch coerced me into making a payment for the construction work, even though they refused to provide photographic evidence that the demolition was completed. After this second payment, virtually no work was done. Different Touch began to invent excuses for why the work could not be started, seeking to blame me for any delays. All materials were on site and Different Touch had full access; there were no reasons why work could not proceed. It was apparaent that Different Touch had problems with reading and understanding plans and documents, and had virtually no project management skills. At one stage, Different Touch were ordered by the estate managers to stop work because they were leaving rubbish in the common areas and disturbing residents. At another time, they were told to stop work because their actions caused water leaks in the flat below mine. As time went on, the works manager treated me with more and more disrespect, verbally abusing me, and refused to take any instructions or to provide information about the job. Again, I was not even in the country. I returned to Londoin at the end of 2022 to find an uninhabitable flat full of dust and rubble, new fixtures and fittings strewn around the flat, some damaged, and piles of rubbish to be cleared filling every room. This was three weeks after the job was supposed to be fully completed. I terminated their contract on the grounds of incompetence, theft, untrustworthiness and unwillingness to do the work they had been paid for. They are a nightmare to deal with. So far, two momths after their contract was terminated, Different Touch has refused to refund any monies. They are con men and thieves.

Great team of skilled men. They did some work at our office. Split our large office into 4 separate rooms. Installed extra plug sockets. repaired 2 lights. Built a seated shelter lean to for our smoking area. Great guys we recommend.

BEWARE! John came at least five times, charged a huge amount, and never solved the issue that we had with our HVAC system. Alex installed a thermostat that was faulty - - and the company was pleased to claim that we were not charged for it. I would not recommend this company.

Nightmare letting agent
Nightmare letting agent. We were badly let down. When we moved into our rented house, it was filthy apart from the lounge, which had been redecorated between tenants. The toilet seats had yellow stains, there were cobwebs everywhere, and it took a whole pack of j cloths to clean the windows. The oven was unusable and we did without for two months before replacing it, as the landlord refused. One room was very damp. We accepted this without complaint. We cleaned. We got a dehumidifier. During our notice period, we were very helpful, happy to let them do viewings. Their agent (Kirsty) did a pre exit inspection and we asked specifically what we needed to do to get all our deposit back. She said "Just leave it the same or better as you moved in, and have a wipe round. Plus, cut the lawn short." So, we reluctantly dropped our wildlife-friendly No Mow May, hired a petrol mower, got the carpets shampooed on moving out day and basically did exactly as asked. The lies this company later submitted to the deposit protection scheme were astonishing, especially the "cleaning charge" that they claimed they needed to pay. If you value your mental health, please avoid dealings with this company.

I received a fantastic service from Peter Will at GMTHOMSON. Firstly, I had to keep changing the appointment due to works not being completed and Peter was most accomodating. Once at the property Peter was thorough and professional, he asked for a lot of information which luckliy I could provide as I had taken images througout the build process and could supply supporting invoices for the materials and images of all the works throughout the stages. Peter was very clear on when I would receive the report due to the Bank Holiday and met my expectations. I was disappointed with the low EPC rating, however Peter took the time to explain to me why this was and how he had come to that conclusion. I would highly recomend Peter to work with and would look to do this in the future. Annabelle Webster

Beginning to wish I dealt with Tyler
Beginning to wish I dealt with Tyler. As a tenant, I find GM Thomson to be painfully slow to fix any issues, most of which they just don't. Workmen that have arrived have told me why, but that's yet another issue. Applied to view other properties with them and been studiously ignored. The property I'm renting is dangerous, riddled with black mould, failed windows and the end wall is falling down, things I'm told are just not going to be remedied. Then I get notice to quit during a global pandemic having lived here for 8 years with no mention of the house being sold.

Fantastic and speedy communication and overall outstanding Customer Service made my experience with RJJ Freight deserving of 5 stars when hiring them to receive a DIY move of my household goods shipment from Texas. They were one of only two companies that responded to enquiries via their website that could do what I needed and were slightly higher priced, but the other company had less than a year on the Companies House UK Registry. I will definitely use RJJ Freight again when needed and can't recommend them highly enough.

Damaged Vehicles - NO ACCOUNTABILITY
Was introduced to RJJ by their partner in UAE. Before commiting, spoke to a gentleman about my concerns about cargo and damages. To get the business i was promised the world and the fact all care would be taken when offloading my vehicles. 2 out of 3 vehicles suatained serious damage. 1 car from the roof where it was lifted to high (they are trying to blame their partner in UAE for poor loading) however there is no evidence to support and it seems like a pass the blame scenario. It is equally poor unloading that has/could have caused this. As the damage was done on RJJ premises, they have refused after a number of attempts to even ackknowledge or discuss whats happend with them simply trying to pass the book on. Have asked for a copy of the liability insurance and again i am.being refused a copy of that. Further more the second car was driven off the container and whilst in their care and at their premises, their staff had incorrectly boosted the car with direct 24V voltage, and toasting the cara fusebox and electrics. This was done infront of witnesses and they are again refusing to even acknowledge their mistake and again passing the book. This has done an enourmous amount of damage and will costs thousands to rectify. This is not what you expect when paying for a service and trusting a company with your expensive cargo. Seems like they were just getting the businesa in and couldnt careless now that they have caused damage and are washing their hands ofit. I am still trying to rectify the issue with Kevin and see if they will do the right thing. As the damage was caused on their property their own libility insurance is in play. I would seriously re consider using this company and for sure will be taking this matter further if needed.

Excellent professionalism
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company very VERY highly. Having dealt with Paul primarily and Kevin more recently, even when I've called on the 'phone all the staff have been very helpful, polite and attentive in taking messages and patiently passing on messages for them to call me back. (I hope Paul gets a pay rise after this...) As one would expect, they were upfront about the process, costs and lead-times to expect. The kept me informed not only promptly but also proactively. One couldn't really ask for more. It was a sheer joy to deal with them and the set very high expectations for other companies to follow. My car is now in the UK, and I sadly don't have any more to bring over nor any more furniture but I'll certainly recommend them to anyone planning to bring anything into UK ports and via UK customs. Thanks again guys, you're a rare credit to your profession! I wish I could give you 7 stars.

How not to run a business
How not to run a business. This is my second visit to the Leicester site and my last. The first time I went to see the advertised woodworking shop. Not much stock to choose from and prices a bit high. As I live only 20 mins away I went today to buy some beech to make a woodworking table as last time they had some 2.5x2.5 inch which would have joined up nice. Also wanted some bowl blanks. Got there and signed in. Told to wait in my car whilst they got some one. 25 minutes later still waiting so went back to gate house and told they could not find the person to take me in. So no sale for them and no wood for me. Will not be going back.

Dubious customer service
I wished to order a large quantity of exotic timber, going on their website I found an esales email address, sent an email 5/9/20 no reply so followed up with further request 10/9/20 still no response rang them on 11th to see if they had received my email to be told they don't even use the esales email address, so why the heck is it on the website, given the email of a sales assistant, sent email with cutting list on 11th on the 14th sent another email politely asking if they had managed to look at it as I was hoping to begin my project in a week or so, the reply I got astonished me in its brevity this is what I received (Regret cannot offer) no dear sir just the message with Just Regards and the salesman's first name. I found another company that I cannot praise enough. Update:- the salesman has replied to an email I sent in response saying the shop is closed until sometime before the end of October "hopefully" due to Covid, nothing on their website saying this, and the person who answered the phone didn't tell me,

If you are thinking about working here DON'T. The managers do not take complaints from their staff seriously. It doesn't help that often working conditions are extremely hostile, bullying is allowed to take place and the HR department is useless. Worst of all male workers are allowed to get away with making disgusting and disturbing comments to the younger staff. Avoid this place, choose to work in an environment that is welcoming, friendly and most of all, cares about their staff!!

Previously bought some goods from UK Oakdoors (see separate review) and had no end of problems, damaged goods, rubbish service and practically called a liar! I found Whitmore's and what a breath of fresh air! Good old fashioned, caring service. I explained my dilemma; in that I needed the goods before Tuesday next week (with Monday a Bank Holiday) and that I had been badly let down by their competitor. Without my asking, the representative said he would send out today and upgrade to a Saturday delivery at no extra cost! Highly recommended and I'm sure the goods will be up to scratch.

Just to put context on my review I have never felt the need to bother writing a review this is my first time! This company were that bad I've registered just for this one! Terrible customer service and a company that clearly doesn’t value its customers. I ordered tiles online but needed them sooner than they could deliver. This was not there fault i have no issues with this. I requested a refund on Monday, the 17th, which was supposedly accepted. Then the nightmare began. I was told it would take up to two weeks, yet I received zero confirmation that it was even being processed. A week later, I called—got the classic "it's with accounts" excuse. Another week passed, still no refund, no pending transaction, no urgency. Then comes the real disgrace. One employee not only refused three times to let me speak to a manager but was rude, dismissive, and clearly had no interest in helping. When I wouldn’t accept her weak excuses, she hung up on me mid-conversation. Completely unprofessional and shows the level of staff they’re happy to employ—people who would rather ignore customers than do their job. When I called back, she conveniently didn’t have the courage to pick up again, and another employee had to deal with me instead. Even then, I was promised a manager callback that never happened. But here’s the kicker: after all this, my refund magically appeared 10 minutes later, proving they had NO intention of issuing it until I forced their hand. This company is a joke. Rude, dishonest, and completely incompetent. My company works with a lot of landscapers and gardeners, and I will make it my personal mission to ensure they all steer clear of this business. Ended up using Darlostan Builders Merchants instead—night and day difference! Professional, efficient, and exactly how a real business should operate. Save yourself the stress—these people aren’t worth your time.

Ordered goods and got immidiate confirmation and t&c's to sign. Phoned on day of expected delivery. Could not get an answer, waited all day for delivery company to arrive, eventually they phoned late in the day to say they would be an hour, at the time it felt like a wasted day. We live in an age where delivery is normally spot on, not really understanding how heavy these pavers are and the kind of delivery truck needed, driver explained the process of loading and offloading.. have a new appreciation for this kind of service.Happy overall

I just received the wrong product
I just received my product. It is the wrong stuff! I ordered supposedly from their website 10 sheets of Silent Coat (the brand, which was even pictured in the right branded box and the bubbled sheets); sound deadening self-adhesive sheets. It's not from silent coat and it was 20 sheets half the size, the quality is not as good as from Silent Coat or Dodo. I just weighed and compared them, the non branded ones are definitely thinner and less weighty by 80 grams per sheet (257g vs 337g per equivalent sheet size). I am so disappointed. What a waste of money and looks like fraud! ******** I was contacted by the company a week later apologising and saying that I should have been called by a member of staff to tell me that they were having supply issues with this particular product. And that the sheets that were set out were from the same factory in China just non-branded. He said they should have called to explain this and offered me the non-branded ones (instead of the Silent Coat Sound Deadening mats that were advertised and paid for) and not just sent to me. Also the invoice that was in the package, with the non-branded (non-air bubbled mats) still was saying Silent Coat sound deadening mats - no indication that this was not it! So if someone didn't know the product already, they would just think this was what they got? It is still a bit of a mystery to me. Either way, I did get contacted back and I did get a free return ticket, free pick up and my refund. Hence, I may have just been unlucky with this particular product at this time and have upped the stars from 1 to 4. Thank you for sorting it!

Ik bestelde er lasdraad voor mijn Mig/mag toestel. Spijtig dat de draad niet mooi opgerold is waardoor de draad om de haverklap vastloopt en ontward moet worden. Dit kost tijd en uit ervaring met andere merken weet ik dat dit beter kan. Hopelijk zijn de andere rollen die ik bestelde in een betere toestand. De rol was niet strak opgespannen en mogelijks is de draad niet mooi meer opgelijnd door het transport?

terrible experience
I had a damaged housing and the pictures and references required were unreasonable and unachievable. How is someone supposed to take a picture of a damaged item in the box with original packaging? how are you supposed to know it is damaged WITHOUT taking it out of the package. I had to fabricate a new piece to protect the motor as to not cause any damage. Very dissatisfied, will not be using this company again.
