Lesley Parklands, Belfast

Requested to view an apartment at Lesley Parklands, Knocknagoney Road, Belfast. Received a text message stating their viewings are fully booked? Surely they would still be able to provide a date pending agreed let. I wonder if the landlord is aware of the restricted viewings.

Horrendous company with no ethics and lacking any customer service. Somehow they managed to hire people with the same lack of morales as the rules they follow - it's impressively on an awful level.

Belvoir? Au revoir!

Belvoir? Au revoir! What a disgraceful experience we have just had with this letting agents. My friends and I had booked a viewing at a lovely property that was advertised, and we were assured when booking the viewing, was a three bed. One room is smaller, admittedly. Yet, we were told there would be no issue - after being told previously it's a two bed (again advertised as three!). I work for the NHS and have dedicated my career to looking after those who need it most, I wish Belvoir would do the same! After coming off a night shift, I had little sleep before getting on three buses to get into Birmingham CC to see the property - I could barely contain my excitement! As I was walking up, my friend contacted me to say it had been cancelled 15 mins before the viewing because it is in fact a two bed property - this viewing had been booked since MONDAY. I am appalled, as I sit on my third and final bus home now in tears at what could have been. SHAME ON YOU!

Who would be a tenant!

I started renting from 2020. When I first got there the property was filthy. Dirty, greasy kitchen cupboards, disgusting kitchen floor and dust everywhere in the house. When I notified the agent he said it would not go against me when I left. I was given notice in September 2023. I was given a section 21 and told it was probably down to the fact that I was late with paying rent on a few occasions. I would like to point out that when I took on the tenancy I was working fulltime but I got sick and had to leave my job. I had to wait for universal credit to help me, hence the few months I couldn't pay on time. Also, I always paid in the end. They had given me one month's notice. I was to be out on December 15th 23. Full of Xmas cheer! I had explained that due to illness it was going to be impossible to pack all my stuff up in that time. I lost my dog then 2 weeks later, my dear Mum on the 11th December. They did give me a bit more time but then there were further issues with me likely to become homeless. I didn't want to stay at the property because I had invested so much love and care into and I just couldn't keep borrowing in order to pay the rent. All in all, I have felt like the lowest of the low and have generally felt so low because of the stress this has caused me. All for being sick.

I can only rate Belvoir on my own…

I can only rate Belvoir on my own experience. I took a tenancy with them in May 2024 and the office was the Wigan office. I found the staff very helpful and polite at all times. The communication was very good and most of this was done online and email. The only snag was Let Alliance that I can't say anything positive. It took approximately two weeks from start to moving in. I found Belvoir professional and able to speed up the process. I'm very happy with the appartment and the whole process from signing the tenancy and depositing the security bond was very efficient. There was a problem with one of the keys on moving in day. It wasn't the key, I think it may have been the weather being hot and could have made the door swell. However, they was prepared to meet me and sort the problem out. I personally have confidence to recommend for letting. I found the flat to be updated and an excellent standard. Thank you.

very professional

Very pleased with how our property was advertised and a new tenant was quickly found . All aspects of the service was faultless. A very nice staff member at the Coventry branch has been very helpful, and is always cheerful and friendly.

Disappointed

Unfortunately, we trusted them with looking after our property whilst we were abroad. Although we cannot fault their communication and collection of rent, the inspection regime was shocking. On our return we received a final inspection report stating everything clean and tidy and so we refunded the deposit. 4 weeks later we are finally completing the repairs and rectification work including a fist sized hole in a wall, not reported. Would not recommend.

Don’t bother

Don’t bother. I stood outside the property I was supposed to be viewing for half an hour. I emailed to apologise I would be late and only received the same courtesy (sort of) because I called to ask who I was supposed to be looking for. Nobody turned up so I left.
