Tenants, be careful
UPDATED: As a tenant, Belvoir wasn't my option. With that said, during my four-year tenancy, things were fine. Unfortunately, at the end of my tenancy, I had to go through plenty of stress getting my deposit back from a dishonest landlord. Belvoir Welwyn could've done something to prevent the situation. Over a month after leaving the property and after a very intense back and forth comms, I was able to get a decent amount of my deposit back, mostly thanks to Carlie H. from Belvoir. Tenants, be careful at the end of your.tenancy!
Poor Service
We were letting a property via the Derby office of Belvoir letting. We raised concerns about the tenant's behaviour which wasn't acted upon. The tenant subsequently left leaving the property in a mess. The communication from then on was very poor. 10 days before we were advised of the poor condition of the property, 1 month to get cleaners in. We weren't kept informed of what work was to be carried out or when. No inspection carried out after work was carried out. Two and a half months before the invoice for cleaning was sent to us making it too late to query what had been done. This company needs to improve the level and quality of communication with it's customers. Would not recommend this company's services to anyone.
I have used Belvoir for almost 10…
I have used Belvoir for almost 10 years. They have helped me year on year with managing, vetting, inspections of my tenants, along with setting up the Tenancy agreements. Peter, Karen and the staff at Belvoir have been so helpful, making my life easy. Highly recommend them.
The most Inept & Incompetent estate…
The most Inept & Incompetent estate agent I have ever had the misfortune to deal with! Messages & emails not passed on between staff members , no communication or follow ups. Absolutely Useless!
Worst estate agency ever
I rented a house for a few months with them, and they cause me a lot of trouble as per previous review I left. One of the last issues was that they where trying to charge me for things that were problematic from the start, before I rented after they went for an inspection of the property. The day after I left them the review, they went back for a second inspection, which is weird since usually they only do one inspection, and in the second inspection they found new problems like stains in the carpet, which weren't there in the first inspection. Since it happened the day after I release the bad review it seems that they are retaliating against me for that. It has been few weeks since I left the property, and it still going to take ages to get my deposit back. Everyone, if you want to rent do not use this company
RENTERS BEWARE!
I have NEVER in my life dealt with an agent with such criminal behaviours working solely for the money focused landlord. Nathan and his team are wolves in sheep’s clothing, happy to drive around in his Porsche whilst he dries his tenants blind. RENTERS BEWARE!
Review for Belvoir Agency
Review for Belvoir Agency - Kingston upon Hull I wouldn't even give one star to this agency. It feels like we were scammed into renting this property. The landlord was likely aware of the issues, but Belvoir Agency seems completely uninformed and allowed us to move in anyway. Upon moving in, we faced numerous issues: 1. **Gas Connection**: Failed within the first two months. It required a new meter to be installed. 2. **Heater**: Didn't work for a month. 3. **Kitchen Cupboards**: Fell apart in our hands because the screws were not fixed properly. 4. **Water Damage**: The bedroom got soaked with water, and after three weeks, it still hasn't been fixed. The room now smells terrible, making it impossible to sleep. Water seeps through the foam sheet every time we step in. The hallway and bathroom are now also soaked. The agency did not inform us of any of these issues beforehand. They secured our signatures and then became unresponsive to our messages and calls when problems arose. My wife and I have been struggling daily due to these unresolved issues. Belvoir Agency in Kingston upon Hull offers one of the worst services we've ever experienced. The manager and staff do not respond to messages or calls, even in emergency situations. We can't even eat in peace due to the horrible smell permeating the house. Do yourself a favor and avoid Belvoir Agency if you're looking for a place to rent. This has been a nightmare for us.
Other negative reviews are genuine it seems.
Called up the Dunstable Branch to discuss a property and was told to go on the website and submit an enquiry, so they can't even speak to you about it or take any details over the phone. My wife left an enquiry and they denied having it and she left messages and they didn't bother calling her back. They send repeat replies, which tells me they don't even take notice of who they're talking or replying to. No etiquette in their emails, no "Hello", "Thank you" or "We're very sorry to let you know", just blunt replies with no friendliness, no professionalism.
I enquired about a property
I enquired about a property. When i got an email back there was no etiquette just one line answer to a question. This happened twice. Unprofessional way to respond. I wont use them in the future
Ineffective in their primary role
A waste of time if you are trying to let a property through them. They are ignorant and do not respond to emails. I missed a call, so rang back and followed it with two emails direct to the 'agent'. I followed this up with another enquiry and yet another form to fill out against the same property I had shown interest in. Very poor and ineffective company. Landlords, go elsewhere, tenants follow! The other reviews speak for themselves. I am finding it increasingly frustrating that these agencies think they have some kind of control, they should be held to account.
