I’m very happy in my dealings with…
I’m very happy in my dealings with Belvoir who were brilliant marketing my property and processing everything for the sale in spite of difficult lawyers. Melanie in the Leeds office gets special mention for her tenacity - a big thank you 😊
Belvoir Ashton
Belvoir Ashton - Brilliant when accepting the property and going through referencing stage. But after that, absolutely shocking. No wonder they give you a care package, I thought as soon as I received it, it was a gift to butter us up. How right I was. They like to lie, I will never use this company again. Very dishonest. Avoid at all costs, seriously not worth it. I would give no stars if I could. Branch manager Joanne Cohen is a horrible condescending piece of work also. Would also like to add. Upon moving into the property, I noticed how scruffy it was. Pubes on the bathroom tiles, skid marks in the toilet. A massive streak of dirt on the carpet. Oven thick with grease. I could go on. There are much better letting agencies in Ashton. Please do not use these cowboys.
Not a good experience in general
Not a good experience in general. Tenants left with the garden needing extensive remedial work costing 1500.00. They said the usual things like "it was like that when we moved in" etc. As I was out of the country when these tenants moved in, I would have liked the agent to commit to a definitive statement on responsibility and the true state of the garden when the tenants moved in, instead of simply passing my emails to them and their emails to me. The tenants eventually - after initially denying any responsibility and then haggling - offered 300 from the deposit. This covered 20% of the cost of putting the garden back to its original condition. When I saw the garden I wish I'd had withheld the entire deposit. To be fair, the interior of the property was not the catastrophe I was anticipating. Belvoir then said they'd drop by with the keys on a given day but failed to appear and didn't bother to call. I emailed and said I'd come to collect the keys, but no specific time was suggested, and when I did go there was no one in. I emailed again saying the time I came and asked to appoint a time as "I'll be around most of the day" is rather vague. I've heard nothing since so I've cut my own keys at my own cost. My experience is that the tenants should have been told repeatedly that if they fail to maintain a property to the standard it is in when they first arrive, it could prove to their detriment in terms of lost deposit. Maybe then they would not have been so surprised at my complaint.
Sunderland Branch -Terrible company to let from
Terrible company to let from. They don't care if your house is full of damp. I rented a property in Sunderland and damp became a big issue in every room. So glad I found somewhere clean and decent. 100% just for the money.
Fab Experience
We have used Belvoir to sell both of our properties and we have nothing but good words to say about our experience.
1st time buyers
1st time buyers straight from the off very pushy constant harassing phone calls through out the sale more than at least 5 a day 5 months down the line all settled into home and now knowing more they miss-sold us falsely by miss leading us about parking on the property and about not informing us on police presants off the area caused directly off the seller of property, be careful of this company and also the sellers being very miss leading over all never will I buy or sell with this company shame I never looked into there previous reviews before hand.
As first time home owners
As first time home owners, we were really pleased and thankful to be in such helpful hands. We felt we were listened to with all of our questions and queries that we had about the moving in process. Especially, Vicky our letting agent who helped us every step of the way and kept us up to date. We couldn’t thank this company enough they are splendid.
Landlords Beware
Landlords Beware - of Belvoir Lettings Guildford. This agency shirks responsibility - with a fully managed service, they fail to conduct routine inspections, fail to arrange EPCs and allows properties to become overgrown and dilapidated. They fail to properly deal with maintenance issues, contracting the unskilled tradespeople to conduct the bare essential work to a poor standard. If you think that saving yourself 1% on fees, instead of choosing a reputable agent, will benefit you then think again. Avoid Guildford Belvior at all costs and choose a reputable agent to manage your property investment and provide a proper service to your tenants.
I’ve found this company to be very…
I’ve found this company to be very unreliable and arrogant. . Make promises they do not keep. Promise to call back. They never do. Basically all talk and no substance.
Only one star as you can't t give zero
Only one star as you can't t give zero! Tennant leaving report received while on holiday in Spain ssys all in good condition. I don't know when the person that inspected the property has their specsavers appointment but it needs to be soon. Holes in walls filed but not rubbed down, holes on door framed for gates i suspect for a dog that wad not allowed , smoking inside property again not allowed. And definitely not clean. Would never use them again.
