Greedy and Lazy

Have been asking the staff at Belvoir Brighton to fix a few things for over two years, nothing has been fixed. They have time to put the rent up though They do "inspections" every 6 months or so where an agent comes around to take pictures of your belongings. After spending all day cleaning I watched my camera footage to see they didn't even bother going past the front door They bribe tenants to leave positive google reviews as a way of 'payment' for fixing an issue in the property. You are usually so desperate to not get evicted that you will. Funny how the positive reviews on here sound like they were written by someone working in an office, its just them!

It's the evening of the "day before"

It's the evening of the "day before" - I'm moving tomorrow! I have had amazing help and - more importantly - support from Donna, throughout the journey. She has been there for me when I needed the assurance, and; although I don't know how other estate agents operate, looking back it seems that Donna has done more than what I imagine "the norm" to be. The staff also, are really lovely. If I had stayed in the area, I would definitely have recommended Belvoir to anyone. Selling/moving is known to be stressful, but I'm convinced that Donna has made this a much easier experience! Thank you so much, and all the very best in the future for everyone there! Angelika

If I could leave minus stars I would. WALSALL. The most appalling service, sold me a house they should never have marketed due to a marital dispute and then strung me along for 7 long months before the sale fell through. They gave a different story every single time I spoke to them. Their left arm doesn't know what their right arm is doing. They had done ZERO due diligence when marketing the house. AVOID AVOID AVOID. You will have nothing but trouble. Couldn't agree with all the negative feedback more!

Awful experience - moved into an unsafe home

We found a house with Belvoir in Cardiff just as the pandemic began, when we visited the house the letting agent went over everything with me and wrote a list of the repairs I asked and said it would be no problem. When we got to moving day, the house was worse than when I had viewed it, broken glass, unsafe steps, the property hadn't been cleaned. After a serious inspection, we found a hole in the roof. When we asked Belvoir about it and about repairing it they said it wasn't their responsibility and the landlord was an ex-pat so it would have taken a while. When we asked about basic health and safety and standard of hygiene they replied that for that price what did we expect? We got our money back, gave them back the keys and left the house. They are used to scamming poor students who will take what they find. Absolutely disgusted with this company.

Parasitic company that give estate…

Parasitic company that give estate agents a bad name. Basingstoke office keep spamming me through the mail with fake letters all with the intention of gaining commission. It's predatory, unwarranted behaviour, bad for the environment and a total waste of my time.

We’re just here to take money off the paupers.

We rented with Belvoir Rugby for ten years, never missed a payment and never had or made any complaints, we decided to move and you would honestly think we had crapped in their dinners. Awkward and bolshy at every contact. For a company that makes it’s money off rented property, why do you look down your nose at tenants? Will never ever ever rent through these snobs again.

Absolutely horrific

Absolutely horrific. They do not care about their tenants all they care about is money. I had a virtual viewing (Note to self - never ever do this) due to Covid. They never showed any of the issues on the video they sent - hole in front door - kicked in previously and held together with masking tape, the toilet not fixed to the floor so it moves when you sit on it, no battery in smoke alarm yet they claim it was tested, bare bulb in bathroom, no lid on a medieval water tank causing water to drip down the walls when it is used never mind the cost of trying to heat the water!!! On the day I received the inventory I queried some of the things on it especially the door and the 'delightful' maintenance woman said "that's how it is" and "the landlord isn't happy with my raising issues so early in the tenancy" I HADN'T EVEN HAD THE KEYS AND SHE WAS THREATENING ME WITH EVICTION. Within 15 minutes of entering the property I knew i'd made a huge mistake, the walls were wet with damp - 4 months on I now have mold all over the bathroom, towels are permanently damp, it is impossible to dry washing in the property, even the toilet rolls have to be kept out of the bathroom as they are soaked within hours. When the water heater is on it is like living in a rain-forest and i'm sure having water running down the wall into the electric sockets is a bit of an issue too. There are so many issues that have been emailed numerous times and all Penny Watson does is threaten me with eviction for complaining. I wasn't even provided with an EICR certificate (required by law) until November after numerous requests. This was only discovered after the cooker blew the electrics and when the guy came to look his words were "don't use anything in this kitchen until the wiring is checked - I wouldn't touch this with a barge pole" The young woman is not capable of doing the job that she holds. She does not understand the most basic of concepts. When they fitted the shower (over 4 months after they said it would be fitted, I asked if they were fitting a screen or rail. Penny Watson said neither and when I queried this and asked how they would like me to stop the water going onto the floor she told me i'd said I was buying a curtain - you would not believe how many times I had to explain to her that a curtain does not float in mid air. I eventually gave up and instead sent pictures of water all over the floor with a disclaimer for any damage and assurances of legal action if I slipped due to their negligence. Amazingly within a week I had a shower rail. I genuinely do not know whether it is stupidity or lack of training within Belvoir, or an incredibly dodgy landlord. I fully expect that they are going to serve a section 21 at the end of my six month agreement in February (I WILL TAKE THEM FOR REVENGE EVICTION IF THEY TRY!) as they have absolutely no intention of fixing anything and all they will do is get another unsuspecting tenant in (probably at a higher rent)and this will happen over and over again. I have now been in hospital 3 times for a nebuliser due to the effects of condensation and mold on my asthma. Luckily I have insisted on all communication being in writing to ensure I have all the evidence I need when it comes to court. I am currently waiting for the council to reopen the case as they closed it instead of putting it on hold whilst i was in hospital for an operation. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EDIT: MR WARKE IS NOW TRYING TO BLAME ME FOR NOT GRANTING ACCESS AFTER I HAD ALREADY CANCELLED MY BACK OPERATION ONCE AND HE CLEARLY THINKS I SHOULD HAVE CANCELLED IT A SECOND TIME. THIS COMPANY BULLIES, THREATENS AND HARASSES TENANTS SO THEY ARE MADE SO ILL THAT THEY HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO LEAVE.

AVOID, TIMEWASTERS, UNPROFESSIONAL RUDE STAFF

Even one star is the too generous, very unprofessional and rude staff. Canceled a viewing 5 minutes before the appointment, then lied to me on the phone stating they tried to ring me and have emailed me. Yet no missed calls or emails. My partner had to miss work for the viewing too. Once we complained, the woman on the phone had such a bad attitude. Failed to even have a shred of understanding and did not even offer an apology.
