Advertised a run-down place with no…

Advertised a run-down place with no photos that needed obvious work for 420, reluctantly stepped aboard with intent to make it a home - jacked it to 495 at the last moment. Dundee area. Ad clearly stated the price and number of available rooms. Individual who guided me around the property alluded to its price. Repeated conversations with Belvoir on the phone re-iterated it: hello this is X i am interested in the three-bedroom place on Y road for 420, repeat, repeat, repeat. No pushback. Last minute price jack and they're acting like it's some great surprise that I'm taking issue. Even if it is a surprise to them, how did it come to this? I already paid the damn deposit. I suppose the understaffing they frequently cite during calls must have gotten the better of them but I'm not biting in terms of accepting that as an excuse considering the circumstances. Why would you even bother with this company? I'm speechless.

Absolutely the horrendous experience…

Absolutely the horrendous experience with Belvoir Harlow as a tenant. We were supposed to move in today and waited patiently for the date that Belvoir, Harlow gave us. On seeing the property, more than a month before start of tenancy date, and the letting agent promised us that the property will be painted and all the problems will be fixed before start date of tenancy. We furnished all the details and deposited all the documents they required. On the start date of tenancy, the letting agent did not even want to come in to the flat initially. On my wife insistence when she did eventually walk with us into the property; we realized that the some of the cabinet door were broken/unhinged and it had not been painted at all (not to mention the other issues with integrated appliances). When my wife raised these issue, the letting agent was extremely rude to her. Maybe she was having a bad day but she there was no reason to be rude to the tenants about their valid concerns, regarding the property. She basically told my Mrs. that she had no time and was leaving and nothing can be done about this. As of our start of tenancy date, we are sitting in our rent property that is barely livable with multiple problem. If you are a prospective tenant, please stay away from these folks. They do not care at all about you and leave you hanging as soon as they make you sign the tenancy agreement. We as professionals (in the finance and my Mrs. in the healthcare industry) will make sure, we explain in detail to our friends and colleagues and in our professional circles; exactly how we have been lied to by the letting agent and treated by them. Both here and on the US/Canadian professional forums (working in UK). UK is a wonderful country and with wonderful people, who we have come to befriend and adore, but some bad apples.....ahhh. If you are a prospective tenant....just stay away from them.

Belvoir Lettings Ormeau Road, Belfast…

I was absolutely disgusted at how I was treated after viewing a property with these people. They as good as promised me the flat there and then, they even asked my girls if they wanted to see their bedroom. They then refused to return my many calls, eventually opting to take the cowards way out and send an email rather than giving me the courtesy of a phone call. Blatant discrimination against non full time workers and benefit seekers. I will never view a property leased from these people again. I’ve never felt more humiliated & discriminated against in all my days. Avoid this company at all costs you’ll be glad you did.

Milton Keynes branch

Terrible. Found a property online, made an inquiry straight away for a viewing. You could choose times, I choose one convenient for me the next day. It never got confirmed, never happened. Then I emailed them if I could get another appointment. They asked for some personal details etc..Then I saw already its not going anywhere so my BF tried his luck too. He called them and booked an appointment 5 days later. They said they would call back to confirm in a few days time. Nope. That one never happened either. Instead they sent him the same emails asking for more infos. Then they disappeared for a few days again and then I got an email that the property has been rented out already. Avoid!

Belvoir - Haydock

Belvoir - Haydock Excellent service in selling my proerty at the height of a pandemic. Quick viewings with multile offers and good "chain checks". Took longer to go through conveyancing than normal, but I put that down to the buyers solicitors. I would recommend Belvoir - Haydock any day of the week

Not with the times (MK)

During a pandemic they require I drive an 11 hour round trip to view any properties in person before applying. Shop around, almost every other estate agent accommodate virtual viewings sometimes with a waiver. At first this was company policy, then it was landlord specified.

Totally unprofessional

Probably the least helpful, least knowledgeable, most unprofessional and nonchalantly apathetic buch I have ever dealt with.

The worst tenancy experience with Belvoir in Sheffield

The worst tenancy experience we ever had was with Belvoir in Sheffield. The agency was very inefficient in every sense. They didnt send us our tenancy agreement until few weeks after it started, they didnt give us the account number for paying the rent for more than 1 month! They were very difficult to reach by phone and they replied to the emails very late. They lost their spare key to our flat so everytime they wanted to show the flat to future tenants/buyers we had to be home to open the door for them. Finally, after we moved out despite the fact that we had cleaned the house very well they took 200 £ from our deposit for professional cleaning and cleaning the fridge!

Belvoir East Hunsbury

Belvoir East Hunsbury. Don’t bother. Belvoir took over from Harrison Murray in East Hunsbury. I’d previously sold and bought through Harrison Murray, so thought I’d give Belvoir a go. Branch Director Jamie visited, seemed unprepared and even worse unaware of the value of my home. His price comparisons were with far smaller properties in less favourable positions. Other valuers suggested marketing at 450-460k but Jamie seemed to think “we could try 415k at a push”. We went with one of the other agents and sold before the house hit Rightmove at 30k more than Jamie suggested was a push. Poor local knowledge, poor preparation and a general lack of effort. Didn’t even follow up after our valuation. Don’t waste your time.

Cardiff branch...Truly terrible…

Cardiff branch...Truly terrible customer service. Have sent an email enquiry for two different properties on Right Move, plus telephoned FOUR times to view. I am told I will be called back as a matter of urgency each time, and the “sales” agent is never available. Don’t even think of using this lot to sell your property, there’s a reason they are unsold after months. As if buying and selling wasn’t stressful enough already...
