Bad customer service? I doubt it

I’m really shocked that anyone is saying that Pony O’s customer service is terrible - that doesn’t match my experience at all. I emailed them to ask a question and received a helpful response within a very reasonable amount of time. I don’t know how many people work at Pony O, but they seem pretty busy running their business while also helping first responders. In my opinion, that’s very admirable. I just received my order today. I love the Pony O 2.0, but I’m trying to get the hang of the Bun Bar because it’s a little more tricky with my hair. The products are well made with good, quality materials.

Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service

Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. A company that NEVER answers, returns your call and many times when you call their mailbox is full, don't respond to emails or facebook messages. what a JOKE of a company, they play childish games, very disrespectful. We will dispute our charces since our order never arrived, they promised to resend the products and resent the wrong items. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone and I will make sure to let everyone around me know.

This thick piece of rubber sucks!

This thick piece of rubber just slides right out of my hair. I've watched video after video. What a scam.

Thank you, next.

I love how it worked the way they advertised , but it’s not very lasting. I got mine in January and it broke two days ago (June 1st). I can hear the clicking of the metal strip inside and it bulges out visibly through the rubber. This is genuine product, I got it for pony-o website. But to have spent a little more just for a thing that holds my hair that lasts just 6 months? Not worth it. I don’t like the fact that I can’t choose two slim ones. It comes with one slim and one wide. I hate using the wide one. Now the slim one broke, I just had to give this review. Not considering to spend another amount on this anytime soon.

Pretty darn good!

I have medium-length, layered hair that is medium-thick. My hair is super healthy, shiny, straight and slick so hair bands don’t work for my hair, my hair slips right out. I use rubber bands from newspapers, which is embarrassing. The Pony-O works great for my hair. I haven’t tried working out with it, though. The Bun-Bar is OK but because I have layered hair, there are wild pieces of hair that stick out all over the place. Both are super easy to use. It does not rip my hair out. I placed my order May 24th, which was a Sunday, and it arrived a week later, on June 1st. I’m baffled by all the bad experiences people are reporting.

Pony-NO

Great idea. Although, I have to agree with other users stating having issues with this product. I had problems getting it to stay in my thin, long hair. YES, I can read instructions and followed them. It just seems like it was a product rushed to market too quickly without quality testing. They didn't even come up with an original name. Don't waste your money and don't even bother with customer service. They are very condescending.

Doesn’t work for my thick hair

Doesn’t work for my thick hair. The pony tail won’t stay up. Really disappointed.

GREAT PRODUCT

All of the people in the reviews must have a really hard time following directions. I ordered the pony o both large and small, and 1 bun bar. They all work great for my thick short hair. I love them so much that I've shown them to all me friends and had them try them and they have worked with EVERY SINGLE PERSON I have tried them on and many of us have extremely different hair types. The bun bar can be hard to get in the right shape but with practice it's easy to get the hang of it. None of the products slip and as long as you loosen them a tiny bit before removing, they don't pull when removing either.

Worked for the half up, but....

How very dishonest of them to allow my order to be charged long before shipping and using the pandemic for such an inordinate long delay. As soon as I put in my order, they spammed the hell out of my email and all of their ad ware keeps following me on nearly every website I visit. So 2 months after I ordered, these finally came in the mail. There was no packing slip in the envelope, and although I had ordered the full size one in black and the half up size in aqua, both got to me in the full size. Without a packing slip, I only have my email confirmation to prove they screwed up. I tried the aqua one half up anyway, and it actually worked for me, even though my hair is fine and not as thick as it was in younger years. However, it pulled uncomfortably before long. I tried the black one with all hair in a high ponytail, but I have a large head and my bottom hairs didn’t go up that high, even though it’s armpit length, so it felt like it would’ve worked if my hair was longer, but it doesn’t grow past it’s current length. So I’d use either for a waterfall do, since I like that style, or also a lower full ponytail, but just at home. They sell decorative ones, but these are ugly for public wear. BTW, they are Made In China, and they were not worth the price they charged for them. They should be sold at the dollar stores.

I love the Pony o itself, but...

I love the Pony o itself, but the bun bar is a hit and miss. The Pony o holds my hair the way it said it would and I don't really lose hair with it like I do regular scrunchies. If they could find someway to clip the ends together on the bun bar, that would be great. It makes a perfect bun until you try to get it to curve on the bottom because the ends don't completely come together. Sometimes I can get it to work, but it's a pain so I don't mess with it. I won't buy another unless they make an upgraded version.
